The lore is based on the works of epic fantasy writer Michael Moorecock for those interested. The story of the Eternal Champion that travels the multiverse in search of the The Dreaming City.
I absolutely love this game so far! I love the idea of realmwalking, and how the realms are always different. The crafting is a bit over-complicated, but that might change as we go through Early Access. I mean specifically that augments can be pretty confusing and complicated. But at the same time, the fact that the materials you use DO make a difference to the overall item you end up, is very refreshing. I'm sick of "basic" crafting that's just like... wood, plant fiber, stone.... in this game, some of those mats you use have actual strength/stamina bonuses and depending what you need, you can choose your mats accordingly. The Building needs a lot of work (I think)... it's still pretty basic,, but is at least easy to do.
Ah a fantasy game where you explore crazy environments and fight giant magical monsters… with your gun. Looks like a really fun game, and I haven’t had time to watch many of your videos on this game but I’ll hopefully get around to it!
Steam review indicated the game is dependent on official server despite the game is single player/coop. Anyone outside of North America seems to be having a difficult time playing even alone.
That's just not true. I have seen MANY people in other countries saying the exact opposite. But yes, the game is online-only atm, but they are making offline mode a priority. But I really haven't seen an over abundance of people from outside the US saying they couldn't play.
Game is decent, has some good ideas but it also needs ALOT of work. Right now I would say Valheim and Enshrouded are in better shape. Looking forward to seeing what gets added to this game in the future, but I played 5 hours today and didn't have a ton of fun.
Enshrouded is more an rpg with the same clunky animatio s and combat akin to early access games.until they get player based progression our group shelved it.
My wife and I each play this game on different processors but both with the RTX 2060 12GB. I run it comfortably on max settings, and my wife can run them on medium-high settings. Even on thr lower settings, this game looks beautiful and runs great. The developer seems eager to improve and stabilize the game as quickly as possible.
Loving this game so far, put 28 hours in in the last 2 days so not bad. Favourite realm is forest, least swamp. I liked the desert, had the most places i needed to climb to reach. Just got the provisioner card so tomorrow I'm going for gun making. Definitely sticking with this. Playing on quality setting with quality dlss on a 3060 1440p, plays great. Anything below quality global lighting looks horrible though, shadows shimmering everywhere.
Enshrouded and now Nightingale! You're a wild man on the youtube bro! I put 9 hours in today and now that I'm starting to understand it i almost want to start over because I choose a really inconvenient place to build my base...
It looks like it needs a lot of time, honestly. That desert is very very bad, man, and it's easily compared to new games of the genre like Enshrouded, where biomes look great.
It does need some more time but its very playable and enjoyable with a lot of content already. I'm in for quite some time now and still not even close to the end
@@04AMofficial Some mechanics look very fun and I can see why you are loving it. I've spent several hours in games that ended up being trash tbh. This looks like it's going to do very well and look more pretty soon.
My wife bought this game as she is a huge survival game fan and the aesthetic is right up her alley. I watched her play around 40 hours in the game before she dropped it. The game just isn't fun. Whoever the game designers are should be fired and blacklisted from ever working in the industry again. The crafting is ridiculously complicated just for the sake of making it complicated. It makes no sense at all. The Steam reviews definitely fall in line with our personal experience with the game. Their idea of challenging is making it a massive pain in the ass to do anything with crafting or your inventory and trying to ignore the clunky, overly verbose UI. We're sticking with Enshrouded. Nightingale forgot about the most important thing for a game, make it fun. It's easy to see the reviewers that are being swooned to talk nice about the game. It's a shame.
I wasnt paid to review the game, I released this one before the game released officially and have over 100 hours on it. Clearly the game doesnt hold your hand or help getting familiar with the essentials, while once you figure out these systems theres a LOT more to it many people unfortunately miss due to the current absent guidance. This is where I come in with plenty of guides to help people get familiar with the game but agree that its not yet finished. I disagree that its in line with the current review rating on steam as many were upset for not having singleplayer. It would be nice to have it as option while the majority of the game is great. You'll see that only if you give it time. It took me over 10-20 hours to fully appreciate it all
I'm so confused. I just came to watch this after watching another youtuber having pretty much the exact opposite opinion on every detail and mechanic of this game. I know opinions are personal, but it's still weird seeing two reviews so different about the same game.
So am I, apparently some people either find the unique mechanics too difficult to understand or didn't play enough to judge properly. I enjoy it a lot and will continue to do so with upcoming guides. Some people shared some weird thoughts about the game Im confused myself :D it definitely needs work on some points like UI, but still I like the vibe and challenges Nightingale comes with
Well a lot who are praising this game like it's something brand new are sponsored by the game devs that's why and people who are saying the opposite are not sponsored to lie about the game
@@Ccubed92 Valheim, Palworld, Enshrouded. The mysterious "content creator" always thirsty for an extra buck and an extra view. New game? New hype video. Unfortunately the average gamer appears to lack any and all self-respect and will keep buying poorly made games, further incentivizing studios to release half-baked products and rarely offer meaningful updates.
How are your graphics so crisp? My biggest issue rn is that everything looks kinda blurry even at max settings with a strong pc (and yes motion blur is off)
does the game have upscaling? dlss tends to make things look blurry vs native. If you're on an nvidia card maybe try DSR and set your resolution to what ever DSR option you choose? It'll eat performance but maybe test if that makes it look crisper for you.
@@lrock48 gotcha, idk now if either have it. But I know if a game has dynamic resolution dont use it. That setting to my understanding is adjusting resolution per scene.

Cheers 04AM, started on extreme difficulty and planned to play as sniper build, i see, it was the right choice. Very honest and good review video. Keep it up.
This doesnt gel with other reviews i have seen that say its very copy and paste and extremely repetitive in its exploration, along with chests/loot that have nothing odd in them to make areas worth exploring.
I see a lot of people hate on the game without a decent amount of hours in it or not played any of it in the first place. I enjoy it and will continue to do so :D Their loss
The game isn't refreshing, it isn't fun, and it definitely isn't amazing. Content creators doing what they do best: new game released, let's hype it for them views and move on to the next one. The game is obviously at least 6 but more realistically 12 months for a proper EA launch. The game currently is nothing like the 15 million commercials we saw blasted at us before we watched our YT videos. You're locked into using a server provided by the studio whether playing single player or with a single friend. Crafting is clunky. The food system is a copy/paste of Valheim except you can now die. Graphics are beautiful sometimes and terrible others. Combat and enemy AI is the worst I've seen in years from a game with this much hyper. The game has "mixed" reviews for a reason: it is not good. Quit supporting these greedy devs releasing half-baked games and maybe we can get better ones. Resist the urge to be just another consoomer. Have some self-respect and demand quality products. This game is not what was advertised. Don't buy it. Don't support them.
Not sure what cool aid you are drinking but most people agree Nightingale is tired boring and a huge unnecessary gear grind....Boring boss fights and framerate issues among others
I popped onto the Steam forums the other day to see what the all the fuss was and it was the most toxic Steam forum I've ever seen. Gross. Put me off the game completely.
Game released WAY too early and is VERY BAD as of right now and it's just sad because i was looking forward to this. Not a good look in todays age when Devs do this either, knowing full well what they're doing.
Umm this game is not good.. only positive review I saw in about 24. This game is 100% not ready for early access. Bad FPS , horrible combat, very grindy crafting … they also released at a very bad time… another huge game releasing tomorrow
I can't agree with anything you say here :D My performance has been great with 0 frame drops, enjoyable combat and especially after 10-20 hours in it becomes more and more challenging
Sorry, but the game is boring as hell. Refunded after 2 hours. Jesus, I miss the 90s games so much! If you compare Metal Gear Solid or Vagrant Story or Final Fantasy 7,8,9 with todays games, you realize how extremely bad they are.
Well the refund window is 2 hours so if you've not hooked me or got it right within that, why keep playing? I'll list my criticisms after an hour playtime: Lazy/no new player experience. Some janky looking txt top right of screen and a loaf of fluff/flowery language from puck isn't cutting it. Respect players time especially within refund window and try to hook them with gameplay loop. I had to Google how make a campfire because for some reason I didn't have the option until collecting X amount of blueberries. Why do you need berries to make a camp-fire, get the basics right. Again on basics, why do I have to go through 3 UI menus that cover almost all my screen to cook some berries. In Valheim you just place it on in-game, then knock it off once cooked. If the UI was that bad for just cooking (and after seeing vids showing how many types of every material there is) I don't want to be in UI hell/management for all the crafting if that's what the rest of the game is about (boring!). Another on the new player experience. Why have 3 biomes you go through and not just one forest where you learn then it can be your respite world. Then there are actually resources you need around. Then it just goes "make all the tools" Always online is a big no, the combat felt bad and all actions laggy and not smooth... I'd had enough by that point.
@@04AMofficial Right on, you have played it and I have not.(And I appreciate your opinion.) More just speaking about RNG being put in everything to waste our time.
