- Every fly fisherman wants to know how to catch more trout, and in this latest episode of The Totally Awesome Fishing Show Graeme Pullen travels up to Rutland Reservoir, where he gets an exclusive interview with top fly fishing guide Rob Waddington. This time they cover rudder fishing from a boat, and despite having an outboard they are using the power of the wind to sail down the water in search of a trout. It's rough weather fishing, but they still get some Rainbow and Brown trout. Lots of tips for the beginner, novice, or even the experienced fly angler.

Can anyone help me , I managed to dig out 2 old fly fishing reels , no idea how old they are probably my late granddads . They are a bit worn and used many many times with a good clean up will I be able to use modern fly lines on them ?. cheers Kieran
Yes, certainly. The clutch won't be as good as new ones and they may make an loud click/ratchet but will do fine,replace the backing and attach the line, see TAF video on this. Regards Rob www.rutlandwaterflyfishing.co.uk
