Wow I have such a similar setup and it’s amazing that I was contemplating making the hardlines for the same sump on my engine just yesterday morning. I ended up making hoses as I couldn’t achieve a small enough radius in the tube. Same routing though, the front scavenge goes to the opposite side. My Aviaid pump is a few years older though (maybe 7 or so years old) Main difference on my engine is that I only have the DET head, but I had a dry sump a few years ago.
Man I hope to make it down for WTAC to see this beast and everything else that will be there! I had the pleasure of meeting Rob at a drift event at QR the other week too!
Hi Andrew, not sure if it's been mentioned before, can you do a cost to build a 600 - 700hp SR similar to what you guys did with the GTR Video? Cheers.
Honestly, we’re staging the changes as they are required. Motorsport ABS and DBW is on the cards. Plus, one less thing to set up and get working how we want in a 30 day build.
VE heads have MUCH larger ports and room for porting, the addition of VVL, doesn't have rocker arm breakages, I believe they also have larger valves too from factory and are much stronger. They make a living shit ton more power than DE heads and are practically bulletproof. And they sound better :)
@@JohnWiku I know of engine that have snapped cranks and cracked oil pumps more than once till they changed to ATI dampener. (And yes the engine was built correctly) As to why not 100% sure but could see the internal filling coming out of the dampener (I think they use some sort of silicone filling) Just my 2c take it as you please 🤷🏻♂️.
lol. Who cares what he says. All he knows his what he finds in Jap tuner mags. He’s an OEM+ guy at best. His opinion on Aus performance cars doesn’t mean anything
Fantastic content and build! I hope you're able to secure an equally good sponsor for the future of this series.
Every video costs me money or gives me ideas!
More great content as ever.
Man I wish I could have that setup in my 180sx. Nice work lads.👍

Looks amazing, love the hard line setup :)
This year is going to an incredible line up of cars, the engine bay is going to look incredible (always hate those blue components) 🤣
Is there a specific reason to not using electric throttle body? Would think it would help with torque management and safeties?
Cant wait to see this thing back on track what a weapon!
Looking good Andrew. Hope we get to share a garage again. Only real difference is the driver.

Look forward to seeining it at wtac mate
Christ, how much in just fittings!! Can't wait to see this progress again!
Looks to be in the range of $4k retail or so. Just a guess though. Probably more.
@@garygreen90 i was gonna say 5-6k easily just for those raceworks fittings
Hoping i can head up. 👌
Awesome bit of kit you have there Andrew. Just wondering what alternator you run that can handle this girls massive redline?
Stock with Greddy under drive pulley
Loving the rebuild! Just curious as why you aren't running e throttle?

Used to watch Rob drifting his 180sx on ignition dvd. The old days!
Woo instant notification click!!!
Lol Demtel over here 😂
Advantages over using VE?

Ha ha ha, somebody just scored a nice fat new corporate contract with Motive Video...
But wait, where TF are the steak knives?
Why not use GFB?
Car has been sponsored by Turbosmart for well over a decade
That Ross balancer will kill your engine.
Would you mind explaining how and why? Thanks

They use rubber legend same as ATI. Hawkins is already running Ross on his RB so I’m sure he’s ok using it.
Our R32 has used one for 5000km+ between both the 2.6 and 3.2 engine with rev limit at 9700rpm and making 1100hp. Sure it will be just fine.
That orangey / pink valve-cover is hideous... 😕
You need to go back to the US and school Tommyfyeah. He talked some crap on you guys
Us specifically or Australian car builders?

@@MotiveVideo both unfortunately...
When is jet 200 gonna turn into jet 210 or 220??? She needs a stroker kit in her
It's had a 2.2L Nitto stroker in it since 2011
@@MotiveVideo oh crazy I could’ve sworn this has a 2.0 in it still! We’ll hell yeah then hahaha
