Just started watching your channel, I really appreciate and needed to see this video today. Just lost my brother-in-law this morning and these are the kind of things we would do together as well as doing them with my dad. Just helped my heart heal a bit today. Sending vibes of Blessings and Love for your continued adventures on your journey together through this life.
Last night was one of the worst days of my life. Dealing with marital issues and praying for resolution and happiness with my wife, my reason for existing. She went to stay with her mom for a while to heal, and l haven't slept since yesterday. In my misery and all that I'm going through... my notification goes off, and for the time it's on, I'm no longer laying in bed riddled in pain and suffering. Thank you Matt and Maky.
My wife and I absolutely love your guys content !! You and mac 10 are so cute together !! "This is better than any restaurant" I know the feeling m8. Happy Valentine's day guys !! She's a lucky to gal to have you Matt. When the world ends and people are going crazy rioting in the streets you and mac 10 will be out in the bush surviving like nothing even happened. These are amazing skills to have and I fear a lot of people in the states have lost touch with these primitive skills. The COVId 19 pandemic was a picture perfect example of how without the system in place, 70% of people will automatically just go nuts man, they riot, they loot, they kill and steal, it's so sad. I wish people would just let go and embrace nature and the outdoors again
love the content! bit of advice on melting snow in the pot more quickly, instead of packing a lot in one container, is to add just a little bit of snow to boil first, and then slowly add bit by bit - much quicker!
Put yer knife on yer belt mate. If it's not in your hand, it's in the sheath, if it's not in your sheath it's in your hand. Les Stroud wisdom. Love the videos mate!
You have been brilliant. Since I have subscribed, your channel and supporters have grown so much. And being an ocean Doggy to surviving in the snow is a great change of content. Keep up the good content. Much love from a subscriber from South Africa. Jacques. 🤗🤗🤗
Great video, about the stones, I once heard that only if the stones are close to a river or a lake can they explode because there is water inside them, and due to the expansion of the water that is inside they explode.
Been there for sure. Same with rather porous stones. Trapped air will expand and potentially cause the same thing. It is worse with steam, for sure, but heating stones at all is quite dangerous and should be done from a distance. Great point, mate.
bit of advice in the cold; as you heat up doing an activity like sawing wood, take off a layer, for example just removing your jacket while you did all that wood, would prevent you from sweating, than as soon as your done put it back on
I must admit guys, this has to be one of the best video to date, how good was that cook up, bacon and scotch fillet on hot rocks, WOW, absolutely love the video well done guys and thanks for sharing 👌👌🥓🥓🥩🥩
Hitting the dirt with the axe hurt my soul... But I love these snow videos. I'm much more comfortable in this environment than I would be in Australia, so seeing you in the conditions that I grew up in is truly amazing.
his wood splitting technique when making kindling is exactly how people lose a finger or cut through half their hand..... I hope he learns the safe way to do it soon
1 min ago I've never been so early hahaha Happy New Year to everyone reading this! May this year be filled with lots of love and laughter and good health!
@ 9:11 - FYI mate...When I was in the Boy Scouts, whenever we were at the campfire and smoke got in our faces, we used to say (out loud) "I HATE RABBITS" and the smoke would change directions. Don't know how true it is but (i'll tell you what) it worked about 95% of the time.🤙
Matt next time boil the coffee grounds in the water then toss a bunch of snow into it after the boil it will cause the grounds to settle at the bottom and you'll have nice hot ground free coffee. It'd call cowboy coffee in the usa
Make a small back wall out of rocks or whatever (even snow) that is higher then the fire and you wont get smoked out. smoke draws to anything close by it, that's why when someone makes a fire and sits beside it, the smoke moves to them. With that back wall your effectively making a chimney of sorts
You really seem to have a killer good chance at find the absolute best spots to do this shit. Been watching you for months now, always lightens my day when you upload. Luv ur vids 🤙
The man, the myth. A guy who refuses to be kept down. He'd survive with a toothpick and a glass eye. Matt's always full throttle. Hyper days dawgies!!! 💯......🎯
Put some tape on your axe / other important items, maybe some light green tape so if you drop it it’s easy to find, also learn about the wild berries & flowers you can find out there and make some tea’s with them! Enjoy the snow!
I'm currently addicted to your channel! I've been watching your videos back to back, for the past few days... Good morning Matt! I LOVE your content... too bad I live where I do, I'm now DYING to try cooking fish in banana leaves over a campfire! LOL! SO glad that little crab didn't actually take off your finger!
Hey FD, absolutely nice place. Funny to see ya in the snow. Really romantic meal. But here some tipps for the next trip in this biome. For fire starting try to find a leaftree with black an white bark called birch. The bark is full of natural oil and can easily be light up if it is totally wet. And if you are in a forest with needletrees try to saw of the dead branches. They are fatwood, soaked and sealed with resin so they are orange to violet and smell like terpentine. This you can also light easy if it is soaking wet!!! And the last tipp... Never use whet rocks in fire. If the moisture in it gets boiling it might explode and spread all over!!! So have a nice time with your lovely girlfriend next time in the woods and see ya dowgie!!!
Everytime I see my son, I yell "What's going on dawgie" and he just laughs!! he is 9 months old and has no idea what I am saying but it's a thing between us now. We watch your vids and I hope he grows to enjoy them as much as I do. Awwwwoooff!!
just one small tip: since u didn’t have any oil, next time u do this cut the fat out of the meat, let it heat up a little and it will become all oily and greasy so u can grease the rock in this case. Whenever we grill we always do that but we gat the Fat wherever we buy the meat, they give it for free if u buy meat it’s just better than straight up oil. Love you guys 💕
Thanks for this amazing video again because of your channel I now use dry coconut shell to cook food I made a coconut shell oven and it works great I don't need fire wood or propane gas anymore love you brother I will try to upload two videos for you to see it (life is for living) I uploaded 2 videos using dry coconut shell to boil water thanks to you
CLASS!!! I am going to do it. BTW Can I also say I have cooked a piece of beef in my dutch pot outside about 4 times now with gravey and veg!! Love IT!!
Just a tip for when you're out there in wet conditions, you can use plastic bags to put your feet in to keep your socks from getting wet then slip on the shoe/boot after
Another dope ass video Matt. And I don't do a lot of out doors activities (which I should I know) but even I 100% agree that your way is better than a restaurant still if you can pull it off lol.
Thumbs up ! I love your adventures in the cold snowy forest, as always awesome skills how to make a fire and warming coffee, then yummy food - amazing ! 🤩👍✌Ty!
Awesome vid as per usual mucka.. I'm an OG subscriber.. Top tip... Stand the steaks on the Rock fat first for 2 mins, stick a spike through to keep that fat on the rocks, render the fat out onto the surface of the rock then cook each side in the fat residue... Fat is crispy and tasty AF! respect!
Really love seeing you guys in the snow, fucking awesome how you’ve travelled through Indonesia and Australia and all the effort you put into ur videos. Mad respect
Man that's awesome last few videos are awesome too,, glad y'all got to explore the snow it's definitely a challenge in the snow,, how crazy was that to cook an stream rocks an look delicious
She must love you a lot for making this rmantic lunch for her. Maky you are best btw. I follow you on Instagram and I really like your content with you both. Going on a hike, going on adventures, this is what life in a relationship should be. You're doing best.
Hey M&M This maybe a silly question but here in Western Australia we can feel the difference between heat 35, 40 or 45 oC. I’ve always wondered can you feel the difference between-5, -10 or -15 or your crazy -30oC or is it just bloody cold one feel setting. I’ve turned your vid off and getting outside. Love it.
I was so frigging surprised that that didn’t stick. But then think stone wear pots do exactly the same! Wow brother nice one! I will be trying this asap
Me going to like the video only 6 min in: 👍 Me going to like the video 15 min in when cooking the bacon:👍(also me realising i already liked the video 😃)
I don't know why, but seeing you guys in snow is ridiculously awesome.
Ha ha right compared to the usual content it's like someone dropped them on Mars but legends that they are they've taken to it like ducks to water
It's really nice to see you two on a snowy mountain instead of the tropical places. Nice change of pace.
@FieldDays1........bot
Man I've been camping with my girl recently only because of watching you. Energy transfered. Appreciated!

How can someone not love this guy?
You guys are so much fun to watch and educational. Can’t wait for the next video; glad to see you some where other than tropical.
Put yer knife on yer belt mate. If it's not in your hand, it's in the sheath, if it's not in your sheath it's in your hand. Les Stroud wisdom. Love the videos mate!
Facts!
I was thinking the exact same thing. Like that little loop you’re using to handle it on the tree is meant for your belt. It’s a belt loop.
I doubt he has a belt on those pants
Facts! I have lost knives by putting them on the ground.
What language is this?
Your videos honestly inspire me to get out and enjoy life!!! Keep up with the videos I love both of you guys!!!!!!!
Mack10 is so cool she knows how to chill no need for fancy restaurants.

And being an ocean Doggy to surviving in the snow is a great change of content.
Keep up the good content.
Much love from a subscriber from South Africa. Jacques. 🤗🤗🤗
Be careful heating up slate over a fire, if there's any air pockets in the rock they can pop and turn the rock bits into shrapnel
Awesome video this week! Love seeing you and Mac 10 doing things together!!!
Agreed!! Makes it.
Great video, about the stones, I once heard that only if the stones are close to a river or a lake can they explode because there is water inside them, and due to the expansion of the water that is inside they explode.
You are right mate.. It happened once to me. Luckily I did‘nt got injured 😅
Yes. Was looking for this. Beware if trying this. 👍😂
Been there for sure. Same with rather porous stones. Trapped air will expand and potentially cause the same thing. It is worse with steam, for sure, but heating stones at all is quite dangerous and should be done from a distance. Great point, mate.
Love how she so chill with it .. Matt is so lucky find women like Mate 10 .. I love watching you guys ..keep it doing Mate

his wood splitting technique when making kindling is exactly how people lose a finger or cut through half their hand.....
I hope he learns the safe way to do it soon
1 min ago I've never been so early hahaha Happy New Year to everyone reading this! May this year be filled with lots of love and laughter and good health!
Yeaaaah! That was really good. Cheers to Mak10 as well. The videography is 🔥
If you pour a little bit of water in the bottom of the pan before you put the snow in ,it helps the process
Big fan this vid was sick
Was?

You better start letting her have the first bite 😂
Nah. Never. First bite is for the chef. He needs to taste his food and decide if it's ready to eat for others.
He's a cheap date. Lol, let the girl have a meal out of the elements for once.
@@eness9756 U seen on insta where they r in Kenya at the moment? Making up for all those past cheap dates lol

Field Day cooked Prosciutto and called it bacon! 🤣🤣🤣
Is it weird that I want to try it now? 🤔
If you ever go back out in the cold again, get you and Mac-10 some Vessi shoes and socks. 100% waterproof and super warm!
Another dope ass video Matt. And I don't do a lot of out doors activities (which I should I know) but even I 100% agree that your way is better than a restaurant still if you can pull it off lol.
Now you've officially smelt and tasted what the rock was cooking 🤣
Love from Scotland mate. Your vids always make me feel like I’m actually there with you . Keep the vids coming buddy watch them over and over
Thumbs up ! I love your adventures in the cold snowy forest, as always awesome skills how to make a fire and warming coffee, then yummy food - amazing ! 🤩👍✌Ty!
you can put spruce needles as a spice, or put it under the meat and it will help it to not stick to rock and add nice flavour .
Keep dropping love the consistency😬🌏
Awesome vid as per usual mucka.. I'm an OG subscriber..
