@kingfuqurmahmen6792that's all well and good with Amateur BJJ tournaments, NAGA and such. But professional jiu-jitsu tournaments are completely different. You're acting like it's ok to get in a fight and then get upset that they punched you in the face... They know the risks and he let go immediately. Call it what you want, he did nothing illegal. The other guy sat there complacent and entangled in 50/50, then In ashi garami. If you want this vanilla jiu-jitsu... You're gonna have to ban suplex slams as well as the twister, which are far more dangerous. People's spines get broken by getting slammed and from the twister and yet, at a professional level, they are still legal. I agree that in an amateur tournament... Local tournament, if you're ripping heel hooks and kimuras... You're an as*hole. You should be DQ. But a professional athlete is a different thing entirely. You sound like the people crying about John Jones using the oblique kick to the knee. In jiu-jitsu, at a professional level, these "gentleman's engagement" sort of agreements serve no purpose other than to nerf the effectiveness of the art of jiu-jitsu. Stop comparing this guy to pallhares. He let go immediately, rousimar would literally not let go for a while and keep cranking submissions long after the opponent tapped. Injuries as a result of heel hooks are totally possible to heal from WITHOUT surgery many times. I ruptured 3 ligaments in my ankle (non BJJ related) and I made a full recovery 8 months later. You all need to stop being so soft. This is PROFESSIONAL jiu-jitsu, the risks are there regardless of what submission is used. We're not talking about an amateur local tournament. Hmmm. Looks bad. Always remember, competition isnt rolling. Ppl dont have to keep you safe Generally, if you rip a submission someone has no hope of escaping, your an asshole Having said that, the dude tried bear hugging to stop the heel hook. In 50/50, someone can hand fight and slow down a locked in heel hook enough to escape. Homie went straight backwards to escape the hands being closr enough to grab the wrist. That requires speed. Dude definently started rotating fast, but didnt fully rotate and let go the second there was a tap The guy defending let his legs be really lax deep in the kneeline, didnt defend peoperly, and didnt tap as soon as he lost the grip. He def made some bad decisions Given that the leg gave as soon as long hair leans back bcuz defender straightened his leg, twisting was probably irrelevant but... Long hair twisted fast. Its a ranked match and dude was struggling, so he was probably emotional, but twisting fast on a prone leg deep on the hip is sus. Maybe he was trying to get the angle and wouldve slowed down if the knee didnt give, but its on the line... The celebration at the end crosses that line big time Having said that, the defender largely created that situation for himself. If your in a serious comp, understand hesitating to tap is placing yourself at serious risk of injury. If that dude had tapped instead of flattened out when he lost his grip, that would likely have not happend. End of the day, this was legal and valid under the rule set. Protect yourself at all times

And to be realistic there was a UFC fighter who was fired because he would do shit like this and purposefully give other people permanent injuries. So a psychopath is able to legally and deliberately destroy lives by joining a sport and label it as 'competition'. Improve your logic, because you act like you shut that dude up with your logic meanwhile, your logic was actually quite flawed.
@@matthewd1094nah bro he’s right, in a controlled martial arts environment like this, you’re supposed to respect your opponent. That means giving them opportunity to tap instead of resorting to breaking bones. Can it happen still? Duh. But very rarely because people understand they don’t want someone doing that shit to them. Respect in martial arts is important for this reason.
@@oahts5906 respect has nothing to do with pulling a submission that your opponent didn't have time to react to. I'm sorry that you expect an adversarial combatant to give you time to react, but that really defeats the purpose of the whole thing in the first place, doesn't it? I personally don't rip submissions, because I don't want to be responsible for injuring someone, but if this was a professional competition, with serious money on the line for the winner.... Sorry not sorry. Haters are going to hate. Just like all the irrational hatred people have towards khabib for example. Generally, if you rip a submission someone has no hope of escaping, your an asshole
Having said that, the dude tried bear hugging to stop the heel hook. In 50/50, someone can hand fight and slow down a locked in heel hook enough to escape. Homie went straight backwards to escape the hands being closr enough to grab the wrist. That requires speed. Dude definently started rotating fast, but didnt fully rotate and let go the second there was a tap
The guy defending let his legs be really lax deep in the kneeline, didnt defend peoperly, and didnt tap as soon as he lost the grip. He def made some bad decisions
Given that the leg gave as soon as long hair leans back bcuz defender straightened his leg, twisting was probably irrelevant but...
Long hair twisted fast. Its a ranked match and dude was struggling, so he was probably emotional, but twisting fast on a prone leg deep on the hip is sus. Maybe he was trying to get the angle and wouldve slowed down if the knee didnt give, but its on the line...
The celebration at the end crosses that line big time
Having said that, the defender largely created that situation for himself. If your in a serious comp, understand hesitating to tap is placing yourself at serious risk of injury. If that dude had tapped instead of flattened out when he lost his grip, that would likely have not happend.
End of the day, this was legal and valid under the rule set. Protect yourself at all times

People in the comments are ruining jiu jitsu. This is a pro competition not some flow roll with master 2 blue belts training after work. The dude knows what he’s doing and getting himself into and so does the kid and that’s what separates them from people complaining. Sure did the guy get broken off? Yes but that’s on him. The kid let go when it did the ref wasn’t grabbing him off. He had his little moment at the end which was tame and he deserved.
Dawg in MMA they give people around 2-3 seconds on joint locks. It is a life altering injury. While the risk of injury is there in any combat sports it is very FUCKED up to do that to your oponent this is not a life or death situation he gave him no time to react or tap she got it and ripped. And to be realistic there was a UFC fighter who was fired because he would do shit like this and purposefully give other people permanent injuries. Funny enough he changed fight organization and got caught in a submission the, his oppnent injuried him and he never fought again. Its honorable to give people a chance not permanently injure.
