Thank you for being on the journey with us! If you enjoyed this one be sure to give it a thumbs up and write us a note down below! We love hearing from you. Tune in for the next one as we expedition into the Baird glacier's rare freshwater lagoon! We'll see you soon
Another great video..Actually have you guys added filters to your filming, because the scenes. Looked different. Realy clearer and more dynamic .What ever your don't change.. Catballou
Surely you would put a line in the water to see if you "can" catch fish. Seeing if you "can't" catch any seems very non-productive . Perhaps leave the "jive talk" (sick?)to the teenagers, I don't think they are your audience 😊
@@thecaptaincrayfish3873 Kind reminder here that I (Allison) am from Newfoundland and James from Australia, two places well known in the world for unique dialects, expressions, sayings or 'slang'.. simply put we 'talking differently'. The way we speak is a reflection of our culture, it's important, and more authentic if we stay true to that. We're not out here trying to 'act' a certain way for our audience. Thank you
Beautiful scenery! Love your trousers Alison, anywhere I can buy a pair like them online? Was wondering about all the motoring that you have to do when you can’t sail and what would happen if the engine suddenly broke down! Is there rescue services that could assist as you seem to be out of range of local communities?
Interesting question, if our engine failed we would likely sail. Typically there is always enough wind to be able to control the boat, you might just not be able to go in the direction you want. Hip-towing our boat with our dinghy also is a viable option and actually you’re able to tow our 30ft boat at about 1knot just by paddling. Alaska (being a state of the USA) has very good marine services (like c-tow in canada) SE Alaska being connected by the waterways has a lot of marine traffic and help is a lot closer than you first might think. Both the Baird and Le conte glacier are within 20nm of towns with large marine facilities. Thanks for the great question, hope that helps to clarify for ya. PS. Allison’s pants are from Fjallraven
Your content is always beautiful! And you guys are so funny. Love the jokes! Speaking of clothing, what kind of pants are you both wearing? How do you like them?
Awe, thank you!! Glad you think so! They declined our request for sponsorship, but the brand of pant we’re wearing is Fjallraven. They’re not specifically a sailing pant, more of a trekking pant but we find them great for everything we get up to out here
Allison and James hi from Calgary. You are great together "sexy fishing contest" if it was warmer you'd probably be able to pull it off at Scenery Cove. True sailors and adventurers great laid back channel. Thanks for taking me to places on the BC coast Ive not been to.
Hello from across the Rockies! We might have to sail to Mexico to make ‘sexy fishing content, but it’s probably too warm there for us. I think we’ll be sticking to the high latitudes for the foreseeable future! Haha So glad you’re enjoying our channel, thanks so much for coming along with us, cheers!
What is the brand and model of pants you are wearing? Review? Does the black stuff keep your bottom dry? I’m a Lake Superior sailor and looking for a better cold west pant.
They declined our request for sponsorship, but the brand is Fjallraven. They’re not specifically a sailing pant, more of a trekking pant but they’re great for everything we get up to out here. Adaptable with wax, Breathable, Durable, Water resistant, Wind resistant, Stretch, Ventilation, Dry Quickly.
Sexy fishing or fishnet 😂, love your videos, but I have to say tight lines it's a fishing term and means exactly that so try keeping the Line tight when dropping the rod, quite often the fish will attack jig on the down action and you have a better chance of hooking up. Cheers from Nydia bay New Zealand
