Rotflies and Plague Drones are very good for sieges imo. Cycle charging them onto anyone on a wall and they'll knock loads of them off. Incredibly useful because it will easily take care of chaos warriors with little effort. Or use them to take out the artillery or any towers they may build. In my current campaign they deleted pegasus knights, and I'm not even sure how, they were just gone not long after I charged them.
Glad to hear he also had a bit of issues with the first fight. I thought I was just the worst Nurgle player of all time when I tried to fight it and lost the first time and barely got by with a pyrrhic victory the second attempt
I absolutely love Epidemius honestly, was waiting for this livestream. Still watching the early parts of the stream when writing this, so don't know what's your opinion by the end yet, but for me he seems to be the most fun. The only part I dislike is the going up against tzeentch early part... but being able to spam a bit more plagues and getting more powerful summons and buffs is nice. Might not be as impressive as what Tamurkhan gets but I like it more. It's just a matter of taste, for me Nurgle is about making the entire world rot and decay and Epidemius just feels right in that regard. Tbh I'm kinda surprised, because it did seem lackluster to me too and I don't particularly like Nurgle in general...
Play how you want and what is fun for you. Personally, I find 90% of one unit doomstacks extremely boring but also don't look down on anyone who prefers that playstyle.

If we're being honest you were your biggest obstacle and I can honestly say you absolutely matured ages and it has been a true honor to have been able to sit back and watch it happen. got to be honest hear, i think the guy is a little to hard on the plaguebearers. Sure they are not the best. Considering they are a mid teir melee unit. and will always get replaced with the exalted variant. For a good portion of the game they do what is needed to be done. Which is grind your foe to dust. Typically out lasting most units. For most of the game with nurgal, i span the crap out of these guys. As lets be honest hear, their other options are not that great. rot flies and plague toads suck terribly. Beast of nurgal are decent. but by the time you get that building up and running. you can get better options. And warriors of chaos are of coarse always good. But i perfer to have my armies have set themes to them. To make them be not so samey. Regardless Plaguebears do their job, which is to survive. Compare them to say any other low or mid teir infantry. And most would actual rout before hand. Combine that with the fact that infantry are not really known for being fast. its just not really that big of an issue.
Plague Toads are fine. Use them as a flanking force and not anti-cav. I still think 99% of TW players have no idea how to play Nurgle or get pissy because they can't easily waste the enemy ammo or get cheap doomstacks by turn 20.

I was surprised by how effective those Rotflies were, considering how much he seems to hate them!

So in the Warhammer games is it not worth it to make mixed armies of infantry, ranged, and cavalry? And instead focus on single unit doomstacks?
