Man u should get ahold of DF and work something out with them on your dynamic res graph. Very cool. While it did look good on the base PS5 it looks like it holds a way higher resolution on the Pro
@@davidpliskin3330They're literally showing the game running on base PS5 here and performance is fine. I've played the game on PS5 too and it doesn't run like shit, so i don't know wtf YOU are talking about
Resolution is too low for me on base, otherwise it runs great. My 85” TV shows the resolution blemishes. The Pro is a huge leap in fidelity, even without a patch.
This game (running on UE4) still looks better than anything on UE5, imo. The base PS5 quality mode with RT looks crazy good. Hopefully the Pro patch can deliver RT at 60fps, even if it means more aggressive dynamic resolution scaling.
I think dynamic resolution scaling will be less aggressive on the PS5 Pro. From what I've seen so far, Performance Mode on the Pro typically runs at PS5 quality mode resolution, then upscales to 4K. The Pro's larger GPU should help reduce the need for aggressive resolution scaling. Plus, I find that playing on a 1080p monitor minimizes scaling artifacts and improves sharpness, since games are either running at native 1080p or downsampling from a higher resolution.
A warning. When only "output resolution" is shown, it does not mean that it is necessarily native, it may or may not be. This way, this variation in resolution was detected when going to the TV. So, the native resolution may be lower before that.
moat of the time ps5 pro runs at 2160p, when the base ps5 runs at 1620p range. ppl only compare the fps benefit around 30-35% but they forgot the internal resolution on the pro while running the game at base ps5 mode are also increase. so it is 40+% benefit from the base ps5 if you combine higher internal res + more fps. for this game alone the internal resolution is almost double 2880*1620p up to 3840*2160p
Basically my take way is PS5 pro is a more powerful console compare to base PS5 which is similar to Xbox x , I see the resolution drop very less shows the hardware able to render complex and demanding scene while base drops much lower then the pro version , wow pro is really powerhouse console even without the patch
I took a look. The output resolution is always 4k and the native resolution is dynamic, however the algorithm is having difficulty getting the values right. I'll need more time to make a video.
Wow It can already hold a 4K res without a pro patch This is what I'm expecting from this console when it comes to use that extra power to enhance framerate or dynamic resolution without the need of a proper patch
Can you test Warzone 2? I have a PS5-Pro and I feel like the game is allot sharper in comparison to PS5-Base. The first game I tested was Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, and I was suprised I didnt see much improvement maybe like 10% sharper, and I tought it was weird because it was Pro-Enhanced. And when I saw Warzone I was like damn this looks like 50% sharper. And I dont get why games that are NOT Pro-Enhanced have more fidelity improvement than games that are Pro-Enhanced

Can you test kena: bridge of spirits... Would love to see if it got a graphical boost in performance mode its already a beautiful looking game on fidelity mode but picture quality drops a little bit in performance on base ps5 would love to see the comparison for the pro model
I took a look at Kena. The dynamic resolution in this game is very smooth. On the PS5 Pro, the dynamic resolution is almost always high. However, I need more time to make a video of it.
Ahh I see. I was playing it yesterday and it seemed to run smooth out any drops. I normally play on pc so I notice these things and it seems locked where I played. Thanks though! Love your videos!

@@brazilpixel Neat! I just saw the resdet github page for that method, which says it "works well on images resampled with traditional methods, but will not work with newer neural network-based resizers." Given your Alan Wake 2 PS5 Pro video, yours seems to work even with PSSR, which I thought was neural-network-based. I guess that's not much of an issue then.
performance is almost flawless 4k. Imagine lowering resolution to 1440p or even 1080p upscaled with PSSR, keeping 60fps and allowing some of that RT goodness 😍
@@ruiassis9752 bizarre. I've never understood why anyone would want to have significantly lower resolution _and_ frames for slightly better lighting, especially on these consoles. It kind of negates the need for it at that point, but each to their own.

Funny thing DF just did a DF direct and they showed this channel 🎉
Keep uploading videos like this. This detailed analysis is great.
Nice, it just needs a PSSR implementation
