I went to college down there and always had summer classes, so Mt. Lemmon and i got to know each other pretty good. There's some really neat hiking/biking trails. A really cool spot to go swimming equipped with a natural slide. The views are absolutely incredible and the canopy is beautiful. Thanks for sharing! Enjoyed the memories.
Mt Lemmon has a special place in our hearts too. It’s Beautiful land, and a journal entry of our first time in the southwest! Love this place and will always find a way to make it back there again!
That is awesome! What an inspiring person she was. I remember considering the passion for science and discovery when learning about what they did up there back then. You have a great connection with history of these lands!
Great video guys! I just moved to Tucson July 2020, and I plan to go up to Mount Lemmon this coming Saturday :) Great to get some perspective on what it looks like up there :)
Tucson is great! And Mount Lemmon is one of our favorite places around here. We recommend downloading the free app “Mt. Lemmon Science Tour” by University of Arizona and enjoy the drive while getting to know the history of the area. Really makes ya appreciate this beautiful land!
Hey Vangelicos, thanks for the tip :) I might just down load that app. I also need to download the Garmin Drive App, as I have a really nice Garmin Drivesmart 65 that pairs up with it, and has a "history mode" for when you are traveling to and visiting places.
Just wanted to say thank you for this video. Brings back fond memories. That locked gate leads to the top of ski the lift it’s a maintenance road. I believe the highest point is up there.
Ryan H aw thanks Ryan! This was one of our favorite videos to film. It really is beautiful there. Someone told us that road open at sometimes in the year to drive up but just not when we were there in January!
@@TheVANgelicos you will need a 4X4 to do the whole canyon but you can rent one just before you go in there is a place just outside to rent. take plenty of water with you.
Sadly the vast majority of what you see in this video is now gone. A 100,000 acre fire covered Mt Lemmon in June and all but a small sliver of forest at the top burned down and almost none is left.
Oh no that’s terrible! 😢 We hadn’t heard about the fire yet but we’re hoping to come back to the area this spring. Such a tragedy, but nature will find a way eventually 🌱
Awesome video guys! I miss your beautiful faces!!!! It’s wierd waking up without our chosen family outside the window, but luckily most of us have RUclips channels so we can still hear each other’s voices:)
I feel the same way! We can all kinda catch up with each other just by checking out our channels. Still can’t wait for us all to reunite in person with a handful of new stories to share.

Every time we go to Tucson we make Mt Lemmon a priority. It's just so incredible. I love your exploration of the mountain.
