Its called a Sonoran 🌭 hot dog. Many people love them😊. You can find them elsewhere in Tucson. Just found your channel. 👍🏻 I lived in Tucson for 7 yrs and still think of it as home. Enjoy!
Brown Mountain and Wasson Peak. - awesome hikes. I winter in Tucson and look for hiking and biking around the country, too. You bumped into a crazy weather week here, but I love that you’re making the most of it. Now that I’ve discovered your You Tube, I’ll be watching lots more of you. Thanks for inspiring others to get out and explore.
Thank you for the memories. I grew up just outside what is now Saguaro NP and Tucson Mountain Park. It was probably illegal but as 5-6th grade would wander out on a Friday afternoon a couple of miles from home and camp overnight around the some out crops near Safford Peak. There was water near some of the wildlife wells scattered on the State Land. It was the 1960's so the gear was all WWll surplus. :)
I’m having a blast watching your RV adventures. The same lighthearted people and great music I loved while watching your adventure on the CDT last year. Thanks a ton for doing these videos.
Just found you via FB via a Gazette article...WOW! What a fabulous life! I just want to hang out with y’all 24/7. Love your video, walking ,talking, music and editing. So inspiring! This is exactly what I want to do when I retire in 3 years. Meanwhile, I’ll just live vicariously through y’all! Thanks so so much for sharing your adventures! Carry on......
How nice to get out of the cold. 🤗. I think this is one of the very few places I have been to, too. . It is a great spot. Sunset 🌅 over the park is gorgeous! So great to see it again. Thanks for bringing back the memory. 👍
You can thank the Creosote bushes for a lot of that wonderful desert smell after the rain. There were several in your video. I've been meaning to climb Wasson Peak, fun to see it. Thanks!
Made me so happy to watch this video. I was there a few years ago...rented a RV in Canada and drove down to Arizona, first time in the desert, stayed in that campground and did that hike, loved it so much! Can’t wait to go back.
Those cacti are amazing! What an awesome hike. I’m trying to decide between Saguaro & Big Bend for my next National Park adventure so this was extra fun to watch. Stay safe! Be well!
Just loved our journey today. Lol lol! That you ! Where I live we have 4 inches of snow and still snowing. It is about 18 degrees out. So this was a blessing today to be with you all.God Bless you all on your journey
When I stayed down the road from there last year a lot of people used battery powered motion lights under their trucks to help fight off the Pack Rats. Love Tucson Mt Park, biked so many miles in there and it is BEAUTIFUL, pedaled threw that camp ground a few times.
Thanks so much for taking us along on your fun winter travel adventures! This one might be my fave so far - loved seeing the saguaro desert in the snow - wow! Wander on and can't wait for the PCT!!
I found you gals through the article in the Gazette. It was a great article. I’m enjoying your travels and videos. I’ll be in Wilcox and Saguaro National Park in about a month so thanks for the info and preview!
Great video and great views. After watching your channel for at least a year, was thrilled to meet you on a trail in Tucson! I will never forget stopping to say to my husband, let’s let that next group pass us only to find out it was the the Wanderwomen! Definitely the highlight of my day if not this entire trip! You continue to be an inspiration to get out and enjoy nature. Can’t wait to see more of your adventures and know you have a friend in Oregon when you do the PCT!
Thanks Mary. It was so nice meeting you. I sure hope we do see you on our journey along the PCT. Thanks for following along and encouraging us. Keeping hiking!!
Did the Bear Canyon to Seven Falls hike yesterday out of East Sabino. Beautiful hike even though the falls weren’t flowing. Quite a bit warmer hike than the previous day!
When Jim and I were in Tucson several years ago we drove up Mt. Lemmon. It was a beautiful drive and an interesting day. Your video brought back good memories!
Thank you guys so much for continuing to share your journey! You truly are living your best life! I can only hope to be able to do it one day! If you're ever back in the NY I'd love to treat you to dinner! The AT is only 10 minutes from my house. Bummed I missed you when you passed through!
YOU are killing us! We have this trip booked for March (Gilbert Ray campground then Chiricahua Bonita Canyon campground). We aren't stalking you, really, no kidding, booked before you arrived there. LOL
You should visit Mt. LEMON while you are there in Tucson area and then go down to Cowtown to the steak house for one of the best steaks you will ever eat. I recommend their ribeye.
Love all of this. The crested saguaro is amazing. We were in west Saguaro NP yesterday and the day before at the museum. We will be in the Tucson area for another few weeks before heading to Catalina SP. Would love to meat up (socially distanced for f course) if you have any interest. Love your videos. Please keep them coming.
We would love to meet up but we are leaving today and heading towards Patagonia SP. I think we will stay a night on BLM land near here before heading down. Where are you?
Great views from the the trail! We have enjoyed watching your videos this past couple of years. We were wondering what brand of hiking pants Annette and Lynn wear. So many pockets! I hope you are planning on hiking the PCT we live in the area and would gladly help you in any way. Cheers!
I have a request. Can your partner Annette speak louder into the mic. Along with getting older-our hearing goes as well. Just became a subscriber to your channel. Got me and my buddy talking about backpacking. Nice to see older women getting out
I'm curious how much they charge for a week's stay at that campground ? Are you willing to post that info ? I've visited Saguaro N.P. West. First time I saw a rattlesnake. Bought the book on snakes at the park information center and store and looked it up. It was a Mojave Rattler (said they had a nasty temper but this one couldn't get away from me fast enough). I saw it the second day in the same spot in the road sunning itself and it disappeared when I tried to get a better picture. It had a hole a short distance off the road and got away from me.
@@wanderwomenkristyannette5021 Not too bad I guess. (I'm missing 1980 prices for motels and camping fees). Old Orchard Beach in Maine charges over $100 per night in campgrounds. RV and tent campers. Avoid that place if you come back to Maine !
The smell of the desert after rain...I can almost smell it here 😍
Look forward to all your videos and your adventures. And the very end, lol! She washed her bangs...

You have so many great hiking options in Tucson...a good place to spend part of the winter.
I keep expecting the tall cactus to start swaying and dancing. Too many cartoons from my childhood. Thanks for taking us along.
I don't know how I missed this, but wow! When I visited there, it was 104 degrees, so this video is like a fairy tale. Thank you for sharing!!!
Loving the virtual visits to my beloved west! This was another wonderful video! 👏🌞❤️
Thanks for sharing more beautiful sites & all those cacti too. Enjoyed the cacti facts too🌵🥾🥾🥾 🌵

Gorgeous. Have you done the Arizona Trail? When is the best time to go?
We have not done the Arizona trail.
