Funny, as the guy who designed how that box installs, the guides, clamping system and took it through qualification testing, I thought I wrote and developed the procedure, several years before the any part of the space station or mdm box was launched. We tested it on a shuttle fight, and the astronauts screwed it up (stopped half way through reinstall procedure because their power tool battery died, they never came back to finish, because the ground cap com redirected them after replacing battery).
Thanks for your question! We asked NASA astronaut Chris Cassidy for you, and here's his response: "Technically, yes, it is possible. However, although the UIA was designed to connect a Russian umbilical from an Orlan, those umbilical never made it onboard ISS. So we currently do not have the capability to send an Orlan outside from the US Airlock."
Ich weiss nicht, was er von mir denkt, ich habe auf jedenfall geträumt, kurios....soweit geht das schon....
Danke und schön,dass es dir gut geht!?

Is it possible to use Russian Orlan suits from Quest airlock, in case EMU's are not available?
