People don't give the drummer in sublime enough credit but he keeps that swing rockin nonstop. It takes groove and stamina to be able to hold that swing on the high hats with 1 hand for an entire concert
we didn't know how special this day would become I worked at the groove tube thats my bike and thats me fixing his mic with the NHL had backwards. I became friends with brad later on when I worked for Lost Surfboards
Chris Culpen - that’s pretty cool. Crap, the whole thing, people lingering around, sitting next to each other seems sort of foreign due to this stupid Covid-19 crap. What was the name of the first song they played on this video? Was it just a jam?
Wtf are you talking about?! Jakob Nowell did a very similar sound with LAW. Slightly Stoopid was signed by Bradley Nowell himself and are big as ever, same with pepper and stick figure. Look for good music. Don't complain.
Saw this show, loved the groove tube! #1 hang out for our area. Lots of shows in this area at the time. Place was great area to grow up as a kid!! Truly blessed.
Blondie got a front row seat to one of the greatest shows of all time that people would literally kill to go back and see. No phones, just enjoying the vibe.
damm one of the best live shows i've seen brad in, when i saw him live a kid jumped off of a ceiling post and broke his leg and brad stopped playing to help the kid out and then finished the show. when they cam back around he threw a private show in that kids garage and that was one of the most memorable shows i ever saw... wish that was on video.. RIP Brad
It's crazy how far ahead of his time he was, looks at how many bands became famous and popular from his style and sound. You can name hundreds from Gwen Stephany, Smash mouth, limp Bizkit, even quite a few EDM techno sounds came off of this sound. A true rock legend
@@Humble-iq5ue couldn't agree more... And from my research Bradley really did invent the sound because as a child he was very interested in island music and reggae music. So that signature sound was brewing in him even as a child
I remember skippin school goin up ther from Vero back then ...Groove Tube, The Hustler, Hammerheads, n little more north,Final Dimensions..🤙awesome times

HEY does anyone know the live bootleg of sublime where they play the same riddim as the first one in this video but brad sings "Girls look good but their punani's not ready" I would love to find that again
People don't give the drummer in sublime enough credit but he keeps that swing rockin nonstop. It takes groove and stamina to be able to hold that swing on the high hats with 1 hand for an entire concert

When musicians played instruments. Music like this is NO longer made. I god damn glad I have this to fall back on.

Blondie got a front row seat to one of the greatest shows of all time that people would literally kill to go back and see. No phones, just enjoying the vibe.
This has always been one of my favorite live shows

Amazing footage, possibly the best of live sublime. Thankful to the person that recorded this.
Bradley was a funny ass dude
This legendary performance deserves more likes and views
This is an Iconic moment from an amazing band
Wow fucking awesome . Loved this video . You can see the passion and chrisma . Such a legend foreal . He played very well
whenever i'm having an off day, this groove tube show usually lifts it up. drums, bass, guitar, vocals everything sounds so bad ass.
I was at this show. On a whim I just looked it up and here it is. Males me sad.

The whole entire Cali reggae scene to this day and all its bands are the children of sublime.
@@Humble-iq5ue couldn't agree more... And from my research Bradley really did invent the sound because as a child he was very interested in island music and reggae music. So that signature sound was brewing in him even as a child
the drummer is really good
buds a king!
This migh be my favorite time in the you tube universe, live no where near the LBC but is a big part of my musical history.
I love the Slowride performance
Shhhwweet
I remember skippin school goin up ther from Vero back then ...Groove Tube, The Hustler, Hammerheads, n little more north,Final Dimensions..🤙awesome times
Bradley is tripping hard. The way he's trying to communicate with the band remind me of being on acid and all sorts of stuff
best music to blaze to ever
check out the drummer playing those echoes that would usually just be effects on the drums.
Ben Wells yep!
What are echoes? ?
Pretty sick
One of the most underrated ever.
MaCaRelli 209 like an echo bro...he does diminishing hits so it simulates an electronic echo effect
i gotta give some props to the guy in the white shirt vibin' out to the music. Only one doin it. SUBLIME. SMOKE EVERY DAY.
Absolutely AMAZING. Thank you for this!!!
Real music real singing real musicians
6:35 oh my God that was awesome..he expressed home self and playing so we'll
still best video of internet
i could watch this forever.
id give away my life savings to smoke a bowl with bradley
It's sad that you would rather smoke a bowl then listen to him do what he loved. Especially when it sounds like this. 👍
Believe on Jesus
and you will be saved ❤
Slowride is my all time favorite song
Descanse em paz Brad...Jah bless

The one on the right is his girlfriend/wife. Don't know if they were married or not yet in 95
Like, are you being sarcastic ma'an?
crowd of people change your behavior... big smile, brad your not the only 1 but your the best!
the best grooveeeeeeeee...... amazing
The two people who disliked this video are probably the two girls right next to the stage who look bored
amazing wish you had the whole set!!!
this reminds me of some gig i went to years ago...wow i must be getting old if i get slightly emotional when i see stuff like this
Opening track is originally done by Michael Buckley on Jammy$ Label. Song called loafting/music gate.
Came here from the legend Adam the Woo talking about this and being here!
How does Bradley’s guitar sound so crisp or crunchy when clean I love that sound. But never hard a chance to get it myself.
I’d venture to guess he’s running his rig thru a compressor pedal.
Reminds me a bit of D. Boon's tone, but with more crunch
omg those 2 chicks have the best seats in the house n they look bored! lol i'd be jammin.. great vid!
My favorite song and i love this live version! live sublime is almost always better than the studio :D
the drummer is goin in!!!
God. I miss the Groove Tube
SUBLIME!!!! I LOVE YOU
tocava muito.
Still damn epic :3 i love it
Isso é música!

No band embraced the punk, rock, ska, dub and reggae sound more than the band that we watch before us. Fuck!! And thus the sound they created which no band can ever create
this is awesome
wish I was there !;)
Those chicks sitting to the right of the drum kit have no idea how lucky they are to be seeing this great band live, what a shame.
They were at Sublimes previous concert (which didn’t get stop until 2:00 AM.) So not only do they like the music they were just tired.
One of them had his kid, so maybe
melhor banda do mundo!
i sure miss him
That guy is a hella good drummer...
Brad seems to be having some good fun here...I can't imagine being there. It would have been Sulime ;)
