I gotta say, I think your Dad is living almost every man's dream life. He seems happily retired, spends time in his workshop and connecting with his family (including Bella).
Thanks Eric for teaching me the skills and tricks. Yummy bbq, will definitely do it again and again!
Say hello to my future father-in-law.
You did a really good job!
King of barbecue! 👑🍖
Good job!^_^
try Chicken knee meat next time
I love dad's t-shirt "I don't need Google. My wife knows everything"
Hi Amy, thank you so much for your videos. I’m a Chinese living in US alone, and my two dogs are my family here. Two days ago one of them passed away, it’s heartbreaking. Your videos have brought sooooo much warmth and comfort to my heart, especially your interactions Bella. Thank you, thank you, and thank you.
Better to be a dog than a lamb . Poor lamb
Mom is sooo open minded! Love her!
I am so pleased that you are so into the Chinese culture. As a reference with enhancing to the next level of Chinese BBQ, It better to use lamb shoulder that is more tender and even fat instead of leg meats, buying spices from an Indian grocery shop instead of woollies, and replacing the coal with wooden charcoal.
That's exactly what I would do haha
Thanks for the tips!! Will do that next time :)
@@BlondieinChina buy lamb from halal butchers too, such a big difference!
I think this is my favorite video you’ve ever done. The happy cultural exchange almost brought a tear to my eye.
So glad you liked it!
Bella: ‘May I have a doggie bag for the hearts, please.’
She really puts her heart into what she does.
I love that you family doesn’t hesitate of trying different cuisine!
Your video is truly spreading happiness, love, inclusiveness, and peace. Love the open-mindedness of you and your parent. Hope more people watching this video become more like that and make this world a happier planet.
Very wholesome. Thank you for the positivity
It just make me happy watching your videos, no matter how bad my day goes
Loved the video! Chicken hearts are very normal here in Brazil. I usually marinate it in salt, garlic, chopped parsley and green onions. We also use skewers over charcoal here, just like shaokao!
"We got the Aussie BBQ and we got the Chinese BBQ...size doesn't matter." It's not the size of the meat, but the motion of the marination.
Your dad's google shirt is the BEST! I can relate to it. Another winning vlog.
"size doesnt matter".
Hahahahah glad you liked it!
Wow I trust Amy can speak Chinese. Because not only the BBQ the same like in China but also "Yang-rou-chuan-er" the exactly the same pronounce with Chinese. Bravo!!! Amy.
OMG the Australian weather! Makes those of us who live in the Europe just want to fly over immediately!
Very glad seeing that you guys enjoyed the Chinese BBQ and also shared this great video in English!
Love your videos Amy! Especially those featuring mum, dad & sis ❤️
Wow, this is similar to Korean BBQ and I would love to try these too. Great job miss, very inspiring and enjoyable!
Your dad’s Google t-shirt gave me a genuine belly laugh. Love your videos!!
Thanks so much!
Love this video! Everyone is so positive and content (even Bella haha). Bella is so adorable. Love these videos with your family and friends.
It's a great enjoyment for watching you guys have so much fun!!
Great video. It was just as informative and helpful as it was entertaining. Thank you for putting this together.
This was so fun and interesting to watch! Might have to invest one for myself 😍
Amy, I loved the video, always so enjoyable to watch. And, I certainly miss 燒烤, haven't had it for over a year. Can't wait to go again when it is safe for indoor dining here.
Happy family, Blondie, u have good mom n dad besides good Chinese friends
So awesome watching guys having fun bbqing..
Been obsessed with your video recently, appreciated the positivity!
Thanks Chris!
Looking at you guys enjoy eating the Chinese & Australian BBQ styles make me feel really hungry and I can't stop my saliva dropping from my mouth.
I discovered your channel a few weeks ago and I'm totally hooked! Keep up the good work. I'll try to do one at home as well
Thanks so much!!
I love this family. They are typical Aussies, nice people!
Blondie's dad has competition, Eric is just as funny haha :D
i think with the hearts you're supposed to butterfly them, so there's more surface area to soak up the seasoning, also that'll make it taste more normal-ish instead of being a rubber ball that bursts when you bite lol
yup,but butterfly shape kinda tricky cause it's easy to cook them very dry so i wouldn't recommend unless your fire control is good
太有趣了, 我有时候放假也会和亲戚朋友们在爷爷家院子里烧烤, 孜然和蜜糖必须有
it looks so good
I absolutely LOVE your videos!!
I grew up with chewy corn, but I always go for sweet corn every chance I get.
I don't like sticky rice either.
But I am little surprised and so glad that you find chewy corn so enjoyable!
Love Amy's persoanlity! So super fun and quirky
你好,美女
Real Xi‘An night market feeling with your delightful skewers. Love it. And big hands to your family and friends. What a treat
We've really been enjoying your videos - your family videos are really wonderful too ... so much so that this video inspired us to try and make 新疆烤串 at home - and it was a surprising success! Tonight I'm going to try and make something from Sichuan (辣子鸡) - really hope it turns out mouth-numbing good! We can't wait until the COVID cases to reduce a bit so we can go out and try many of the places that you visited with your family in Sydney (the only local one we tried so far was the Pancake King - which is awesome!).
Love watching home cooking video.
wow wow wow! Those skewers look amazing! I think I'm having Chinese bbq skewers tonight!
Enjoy!!!
Blondie you are keeping the Chinese culture alive.
How fun...it was a good idea doing both Chinese&Ozzie barbeque (barbecue) side by side..
Love the permanent undercover BBQ setup - you even have an exhaust fan. If you're going to be doing charcoal BBQ on a regular basis, I recommend getting a chimney starter, it makes lighting up the charcoal so much easier.
Love how your dad's got his special apron for BBQ
哈哈 我觉得妈妈很开放又勇敢
Love the puppy. So adorable!
nice video!
- I actually always get lamb shoulder coz it actually got more fat. And my favorate charcol is the orange bag from local BP shops in Melbourne, not sure if it's same for oz wide shops, - it's real wood and you can tell coz some are keeping the branch shapes. I think real wood charcols actually adds some flavor to it.
Sooo lovely and entertaining this! And that Chicken Heart Crazed dog! Lol
Well done! Household enjoyment. If the heart skewers are cut in smaller pieces or maybe in half I think it will be easier to season and eat.
I like your videos you much every time I watch it I am laughing with you guys
Finally, you found the right way to BBQ. I did that a lot at home.
Woh what yummy delicious BBQ Aussie n chinese style all taste good nice to hv multi friend for bbq least d corn.look.really delicious must yry yr reciepy.
Bella has a lot of heart.
Awesome video - you should try alternating between restaurant dining and home-made cooking.
Haha your Chinese dad is so funny :). Food looks so good!
Those sauces are the key!!
a recommendation for you. I recently bought a fermentation pot to make the Sichuan style of sauer vegetable. it's quite practical and successful. maybe you can try it. and you can buy the seeds of chive from internet and plant them in your garden.
Your dad's shirt 😂" I don't need Google, my wife knows everything"
Lovely family
massage heart... hahaha. Blondie's mom is so lovely!!
This brings back memories of the 80’s when lamb was considered a poor mans meat and we had lamb skewers every weekend. We usually have chunks of veggies in between meats to give your stomach a break from meat overload 😁
Burwood night markets is on this Saturday, should take your parents for a night out.
love your video introducing Chinese foods,a lovely family.welcome to china😘
I am so sorry for Bec, how does she survive in your family hahaha
lol Bella is so cute. Enjoying bbq chicken hearts more than ppl 😂
Wollie’s ground chilli is surprisingly hot. Strongly recommended for Chinese BBQ
I saw Jun the other day at Hibiki in Camberwell/Melbourne.
Love it !
这期很欢快,我很喜欢,希望多拍
“You’ve eaten brain. Heart’s not that hard.” Lol. Love the mom.
I think I saw you and your parents at Burwood Park last Saturday. Watched all your vlogs and love them all!
Hahah yes that was us!
u can also prepare some oil and put on the skewers when cooking in case they get too dry
After watching your video, that would make me want to try the Xinjiang-style BBQ at home.
Bella has a big heart.
What a nice family!
About the corn at 7:55, i was told it is the same type of 🌽 corn. In the west, the corn is picked up when it is still an infancy stage. It is very juicy, but not starch has been developed and stored yet. Once the corn is left to grow it will become starchy and become a better source of carbs.
I'm watching middle of the night and it's making me so hungry 😋
Hello Lau..
I'm sorry for disturbing you. You are beautiful and I wish we can be friends.
loooool
"more is more"
what a deep saying!
Over in msia we don't have the Chinese version..But we have native Malay style call satay
u have such a lovely parents
BBQ party looks yummy and fun I Food Leveling
With all the hate on Asian people going around today, it’s so nice and heartening to see such friendship between cultures. Good on you Blondie. PLs spread the word, Chinese are generally wonderful people and China is a great place. Thank you.
Are you chinese
love to see Jun again ❤️, also his daddy.
that chicken heart is spot on. Amy you can try the chicken body, i mean in chinese is 鸡架 , bbq it on the chinese bbq rack, you'll love it 😄
I like to add some spice, so I grab some dried chilli and numbing peppercorns which I get from my local Chinese supermarket here in Burwood (Tong Li).
When I do Chinese style bbq at home, I do not marinate the lamb/beef. 烤的时候会加盐,五香粉,孜然,辣椒,最后放一点点白糖.
I really like the look of that bbq, might have to get one although we have the black circle one haha
Cumin, chili powder and salt are the essential.
But the wuxiang fen (Five-Spice Powder) could be introduced too.
Smoked mixture of cayenne pepper, paprika, black pepper, white pepper, sea salt. You can smoke spices in a dry pan over low heat, give constant stir until all the aroma start to come out.
you folks are grilling (bbq is lid closed) i can smell em from here...njoy!
Also, chicken hearts are great. Try it with Yellow Mustard.
I just had dinner. I watched your video. And I am hungry again!
my goodness, Eric is really a professional BBQ chef.hahaha
Love 😍 salivating so hungry
I envy your love for Chinese food and people
I like adding garlic powder, MSG, and a teeny bit of sugar to my spice mix!
