A quick question, if you know the answer...
I have a theodolite with a laser plummet. However, the tripod has a plumb bob hook inside the tripod screw. This works well for when I attach a plumb bob. However, this interferes with the laser dot which become quite blurry and poorly defined. What do people do in this situation?

Yes we have the same issue, all you need to do is tilt the hook to the side by rotating it a bit and the laser becomes clear

good comment but this device is digital Theodolite only with no laser distance meter. so what you asking for can be done with the total station device which i showed in the following video link ruclips.net/video/shgaEbQbdAI/видео.html
