FFXIV Housing: Stony Cottage (Aerith's House Inspired)

- I made a stony cottage inspired by Aerith's house in FF7. I wanted to mix different styles of wood and stone to show a gradual renovation in the house. The living room and entryway have dark wood and are more somber in tone while the kitchen is bright and lively, since I enjoy cooking and spend most of my time there.
If you've ever looked up Cotswald cottages on Pinterest, you'll see a lot of similarities as well because I was heavily inspired when making the massive stonehewn fireplace, along with rustic wood burning stove.
The attic is a new addition with 6.5 furniture and the new Portaled Partition. I hope you like the tour!

This is so cute and quaint, whenever I see you've built something new I always drop everything to look! ♥ Truly you have out done yourself with this design!!
I wish I was able to make something so stunning, I can make houses and can glitch furniture but I'm never truly satisfied with how it turns out, it's missing that "soul" I can see in your builds
Your work is incredible Ashen, as usual I am impressed ! ♥Housing goals
wow, simple wow. this is soo incredible.
jaw-dropping! I'm in LOVE with this look so much!
Stunning as always.
I'm sorry what-
How
Just STUNNING!!!
The music is giving Shire vibes 🙏
PRETTY!
did you ever post a guide for this? i saw in a comment below that you said you were releasing a guide but i don't see it on your channel
Hi, I really love this design and just wanted to know if there’s a guide for it? I recently started to decorate properly instead of just putting down furniture and I love this one. If there is one, please let me know, I’d really appreciate it. Sadly, I’m still too noob to know what items were used for what 😂
I'm releasing a step by step break it down guide for this particular house over the weekend, so stay ready for that! Have you joined the HGXIV discord? We have so many awesome members that are always there to help you out on your housing journey as well
@@HGXIV I joined recently, yes! I’m quite sad that I didn’t earlier. Everyone is just sooo good at what they do and it’s so inspiring. My favorites have been the ones you’ve put out and I’ve watched all the guides you have on your channel to learn. I’ll be on the lookout for this guide 🤩 just beyond beautiful. I do pray that it works for a small and not just a mansion. And thank you for your reply!
Hi! So i just joined the discord and am trying to find the breakdown, because i absolutely love this cottage and have zero creative ability, lol any chance someone could post a link?
Is there a breakdown on this, specifically the stone wall stove area and the window seat
We dont have a breakdown of this one yet! But the stone wall around the stove is a bunch of Flagstone Lofts, while the cutout area is made with Flagstone Steps to make the angled parts and back behind the stove. The window seat itself is made with two Glade Sideboards and a Eulmoran Divan with some Matching Cushions on top. And the window wall is the Portaled Partition, while the angled parts are Imitation Wooden Skylights.
This is such a beautiful build! It's really inspiring! I was curious about what item you used for the curtain under the sink?
Thank you! Also the curtain under the sink is the top of Simple Curtain dyed white! Hope this helps!
@@HGXIV Thank you so much! It really does! I wanted a ruffle effect on a build I'm doing, and that will be perfect!
Oh this is lovely. What is that piece under the Eulmoran Divan?
Sorry for the delayed response! Theres two Glade Sideboards under the Divan!
Hello! I did not see the breakdown video for this setup? Will this still be posted?
How was the stove made? I wanted to make something like it, but I'll be making it look more like gas range. 😅
beautiful where is this located ?
What shaders do you use?
We all use our own custom shaders! But most of us started with Espresso Glow packs at one point until we were comfortable with making our own.
It's really nice and cosy, but I don't really see how it's inspired by Aerith's house.
I was playing through the old PS1 FF7 and really enjoyed the aesthetic of Nibelheim and Kalm and Aeris' house, with the dark woods and stone, and it influenced me a lot in the building process. It's more a vibe and inspiration than an actual recreation!
How did you do the door?
The door is the Windoor wall-mounted item!
what did u use for the pocket couch by the windoww
Do you mean the window seat at 1:09? It's made with a Eulmoran Divan x1, Glade Sideboard x2 with Matching Cushions x2 on top!
thank youuuuu!@@HGXIV
btw im still lost.. what method did u use to glitch the couch and the cabinet D:@@HGXIV
what counters are those o.o
They're cheese collections on top of iceboxes!
how is the stone wall made?
The stone walls are the backs of the bathroom tile
@@HGXIVwait what? I dont see it ._. Haha
@@narussaki Oh my mistake. Did you mean the big stone wall in kitchen or the stone walls throughout the house?
If you mean the kitchen wall, I think that's a ton of flagstone. Which terrifies my wallet. Lol
@@Art2D2 😱😱😱
Is there a list of the furniture used? And please tell me this is all glitched and you're not using a mod. That'd be disappointing.
It's all glitched, yes. But there isnt a full list of all the furniture used. It'd be a list 400 items long since it's in a Large and not super helpful if you dont know what goes where, but if theres something specific you need a breakdown on, we're happy to answer!
