You're welcome! Retroperitoneal fibrosis is definitely more commonly seen on CT/MRI, but occasionally we can catch it on ultrasound.

I was diagnosed in February. Currently on steriod treatment. I have urethral stents in place as the fibrosis was hindering kidney drainage. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask. There are many complications with Ormonds.. it is literally a nightmare😢

I don't know how you live with stents. I had one for 3 weeks after excision of the fibrosis and it was torture. Why don't you have surgery?

Hi I hope you’re doing better and recovering. My mom went in for an mri of her lower spine and they accidentally found enlarged retroperitoneal and iliac lymph nodes, and one particular enlarged lymph node of 1.5cm left short axis, now she needs to get a CT scan of her abdomen and pelvic area and an ultrasound. It’s next week but I’m so worried that it could be malignant. She had a CT scan of her abdomen and pelvic area less than two years ago and everything came out normal can of cancer grow that quickly and less than two years could just be inflammation and infection?
