Hey, it is called "flame" breathing not "fire". "Hono" in japanese means flame. But then if you say fire then that's called "Hino", which could be confused with sun breathing which is totally different.
sun breathing doesn’t burn people either, it’s the red nichirins that inflict a heat effect, all breathing styles are just fighting styles, only difference between them are the way they fight.
