Mets performed better against the Dodgers than the Yankees did. I was going to watch the Yankees winning a world series but I cannot find a Betamax to play it on.
After 27 championships and the Mets only 2, when the Mets are going good, the Yankees don't exsist in NYC. Soto saw it 1st hand both teams were good last year, and Lindor and the Mets run dominated the back pages😢😂😂😂
LOL, all this crowing!! Speaking for myself only, I ALWAYS wanted Soto to sign elsewhere. Too much money to spend on one player when there are other areas need to be addressed. Congratulations Mets, hopefully this helps bring a title for the first time in 38 years lol. The Yankees will be fine, no tears shed here.

Signing Soto is the easy part... Actual winning the Series is something different. Its will be 39 years since the Mets got The Final Out of the season.
Well, when you pay that much money to one player your basically saying he's the missing piece. From here on in its either championship or failure for the Mets.
All that lazy, tired "LOLMets" bullshit will still be around and even worse if the Mets don't win a championship. Welcome to being in the penthouse of MLB where you can win 100 games a year and if you don't win a championship everyone else gets up and dances about it.
Now that STEVE COHEN,not STEARNS signed JUAN SOTO, they have to round out the cast around JUAN SOTO by re-signing home grown durable PETE ALONSO and MANAEA, sign premier starter CORBIN BURNES and either TANNER SCOTT or JEFF HOFFMAN. Then trade for GARRET CROCHET. TO MAKE THIS PISSIBLE STEARNS HAS TO THROW AWAY HIS MINI MARKET/MONEY BALL PHILOSOPHY.
As a Mets fan, I was hoping he wouldn't come here. Now I am _really_ hoping he opts out and leaves after five years. When will people learn that signing superstars is not how teams win in baseball? Evan brought up ARod. How did that work out for the Rangers? They lost 100 games year after year. And the Mariners got better without him. Look at the Padres last year vs two years ago. Better without Soto. He is top offensive player who can't field and can't run the bases. I guess the next five years may be okay, but I really hope he's gone afterwards.
The Mets need pitching… not a $765 million outfielder… could have used the money for so much more… this doesn’t automatically punch your ticket to the World Series…⚾️
Ok cohen dont stop now get the best 2 pitchers left and give trevor bauer a contract as well keep it going another 300 mil on pitchers and were ready to roll

Championship expectations are exactly that Now the expectation is the W.S. Full stop. No more plucky, scrappy underdog good vibes. That’s all over. Making the playoffs is no longer a good season. A division title is no longer a good season. All of that is now the bare minimum. As a life long Yankee fan, I feel more relief than joy when they win they won their titles. That’s due to the expectation. If they won, they were supposed to. If the lost, lol they suck and can’t even win when they spend all of that $. As a Knicks and Giants fan, I also know the other end of the fan experience. For me I have enjoyed those teams success, when they have it, more than I ever have w/ the Yanks. end up being home runs. He also had Judge
protecting him in the lineup. I as a Yankees fan
say good riddance to him.
He has an opt out but the Mets have no opt out so
they will be stuck with
him for 15 years when he is totally washed up
and over the hill.
The Mets have not won a World Series for 38 years
and hopefully it will be another 38 years and even
that would be too soon.
Gloat now Mets fans but until you win something
your gloating is ridiculous.
The Dodgers are still better than the Mets
and even the Philles, Padres and the Braves are equal to
or even better than the Mets even with soto.
Don't forget the Angels had 2 superstars Ohtani
and Trout and won nothing, keep that in mind Mets
fans.
Guaranteed right field is moved in at Ebbets Field Jr.
Someone didn't actually do their research. Soto likes to hit the ball the other way and at Yankee Stadium it's 399 to Left Center. Nobody takes into account those homeruns that get taken away. That won't happen at Citi Field. Look at the homeruns he's hit there, he'll have no problem. All anyone focuses on is the short RF Porch for pull hitters. He hits the ball to ALL fields.
@@michaeldepinto3562 How many homeruns did he hit to left field at Yankee Stadium. Tell us.
@@chrisnalina1755 Sorry, but take the L. Playing at Yankee Stadium only got him 6 more homeruns. He hit better on the road and hit 35 with San Diego, which is a tough ball park to hit in. He's always hit well at Citi Field, but just keep coping. Literally whatever helps you sleep better at night. 🤷♂️ tired of these ridiculous comments 🙄
@@michaeldepinto3562 I am tired of the ridiculous lies defending him. He will hit 35 home runs next year and then you will come up with some lame excuse.
A lot of good points Tiki
Count how many times Evan uses his hands to explain everything.
That’s what he does when talking about men…
Cant wait for soto and the mets to disappoint much like Rodgers and the Jets
Is this a Beningo shadow account?
But wwwwwwwwaaaait! We have 27 world championships!! Lol
They do. Mets got some work to do
@Platerpus7 , but not as much as the Yankees now.

27 to 2, 2009 to 1986. It will always be a Yankees town.
Oh give me a break. Yankees won like 20 championships with like 10 teams in league.
Same old argument from you guys. The big bad allure of the yankees is over and it's been over.
Get over it. Mets are a much funner team and when they win the town explodes. Yanks are corporate boredom oh you can't have a beard.
Hey go tell your star judge to stop dropping fly balls in a world series.
Yanks fans make people hate the team sense of entitlement I can't wait till you are a has been like the 80s.
Bye now.
SOTO IS A MET
@@FamilyMorikis-Acts1631 *That's nice, but "funner" isn't a word, and the Mets are still goin' t' Met.* 😂
ANCIENT HISTORY. You keep living in the past and the future will no longer include you. Mets swept Yankees last year when you had Soto and the Mets did not. Mets performed better against the Dodgers than the Yankees did. I was going to watch the Yankees winning a world series but I cannot find a Betamax to play it on.
@@FamilyMorikis-Acts1631 METS won't be going to the world series for at least 15 years. So this acquisition just cursed you big time
After 27 championships and the Mets only 2, when the Mets are going good, the Yankees don't exsist in NYC. Soto saw it 1st hand both teams were good last year, and Lindor and the Mets run dominated the back pages😢😂😂😂
Let's gooooo Meeeets!!!
The Yankees I will forevermore remember how they lost a world series, then lost Soto.
Soto actually lost the Yankees. Soto will never win a world series with the Mets. Actually the Mets will never reach the world series ever again.
1986!
Damn Tiki...asking the question of questions?
LOL, all this crowing!! Speaking for myself only, I ALWAYS wanted Soto to sign elsewhere. Too much money to spend on one player when there are other areas need to be addressed. Congratulations Mets, hopefully this helps bring a title for the first time in 38 years lol. The Yankees will be fine, no tears shed here.
It’s the town of whoever wins
I think the Mets fans should focus more on the Dodgers, Braves and Phillies…and maybe winning a World Series this century. 😂 they can’t help but let the little bro vibes out.
They're like Jets fans. Talk, talk, talk, lose, lose lose lol.
@ most them are the same people haha. Miserable lot.
No matter what, this is always a Yankees town
no brother, not when the owner is worth 22 billion, this NY and money talks you know this, just let it be its our time.
Except the 60s, half of the 70s and ALL of the 80s. Also when the Yankees did have the town to themselves ( after 57) and actually drew less crowds. 😂😂😂
This is the loser mentality Evan has his teams never win championships so this is the ultimate high for him Can’t blame him though.
It's never worth paying $700M to pay someone to play baseball. It's ludicrous to me.
There's no such thing as a good billionaire

Signing Soto is the easy part...
Actual winning the Series is something different.
Its will be 39 years since the Mets got The Final Out of the season.
They lost severino; the starting pitching is not World Series caliber ( as of yet)
Unless the Mets win any championship this signing means nothing.
You have to get good to win and that’s the goal
You don't understand baseball. Sterns does.
METS will always be second “ fiddle” in NYC!
Yankees fans are celebrating the fact that this punk is gone forever.
That should shut you yankees fans up. The Mets is the team now. Wait theres more coming!!!
I'm a Yankee fan, of course I'm upset. I wish Soto well, he was great in the short time he was a Yankee.
The Mets need pitching… not a $765 million outfielder… could have used the money for so much more… this doesn’t automatically punch your ticket to the World Series…⚾️
If the Mets don’t resign Polar bear then this move is just stupid
If the Mets do sign Alonso then they're being stupid
Ok cohen dont stop now get the best 2 pitchers left and give trevor bauer a contract as well keep it going another 300 mil on pitchers and were ready to roll
Met fans are embarrassing. I guess so much losing does that to you. Most Yankee fans aren't that affected by this in anyway.
Stop playing yourself🤣
Lies. Hang in there my guy
You clearly didn't listen to the callers. Yankee fans are much more upset than that I thought they would be
@cgtz9526 yeah those calls aren't screened.
Sure kiddo...😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Mets don’t get a World Series out of this this would be the most laughing stock franchise in MLB history lets alone so bad they just move to New Jersey. Worse than the Subway World Series loss.

Yea but they jets were nothing before him, mets are coming off nlcs appearance and trying ti improve not regress
Clowning in sports never ends. It just changes. Now clowning fot the Mets will be more like the clowning the Yankees always absorb. Expectations drive it all. SBXLII is the greatest sporting fan moment of my life. Why? Because NYG pulled of a miracle. There’s no greater feeling in sports fandom for me than when my squad proves ‘em all wrong and beats the odds.
He played for us for 1 year. It really isn’t that big of a deal he’s gone. We can now spend all of that money that we thought about giving him to multiple other players. Yanks will be fine.
Yankee fans should say to us, “it was fun while it lasted.”

Is the Soto contract an overpay? Yeah probably.
Are the Mets in a better spot long term giving that overpay than they would be if they didn’t sign Soto? Yes, definitely. Therefore it was the correct decision.
Not everything is a math equation. Sometimes overpays are worth it. The Mets are in a better spot today long term than they were yesterday. Not that complicated.

I feel you "METS GM" thinks for the INSIDE INFORMATION... 🤡
So what do you suggest the Mets do then? Just give up? Not try to build a good team because there are other good teams? Would they be more likely to beat the Dodgers if they didn’t sign Juan Soto? What are you even trying to argue? They absolutely signed Soto to try to win.
