I was riding in Romania (or maybe Hungary, can't recall exactly) and I was going on side windy tarmac roads. I passed a few herds of sheep. After some time I stopped for a snack break and pee. I was doing my thing, when I realised there are 4 dogs running downhill towards me. I had food in my hands, no helmet on me, no gloves, and couldn't leave in time. Got really scared. Those bastards came next to me and just walked away. Didn't bark or growl, just reached me, smelled not too far from my bike, and then walked to the side of me and just ignored me 😂 I was very relieved.
Such a beautiful countryside. I’m always waiting for your new videos. This episode is until now my favourite of this trip. Looking forward to many more videos in the future.
Great video. Must be a lot of work to make. ..editing, and also where you place the camera, press record, go back on the track and then drive past the camera. And then go back and collect the camera. I watch for seeing other landscapes I never will see with my own eyes, and the "adventure" part is bonus for me. At 70+ I now only do light trails on a light dual sports bike. When I saw "dogs" in the title, I put on my headphones...but my dog heard them anyway.
Das mit der kalten Dusche hatte ich letztes Jahr zur Genüge...in Albanien war mal in einem ganzen Hotel das Warmwasser abgedreht weil keine Gäste da waren außer mir und meinem Kumpel mit dem ich unterwegs war...
Alter Falter - sehr authentisch, live dabei und mein Puls war die ganze Zeit auf 180 beim zusehen. Erinnert mich an meine eigene Tour von vergangener Woche! Cudos, Hut ab, bist echt gut unterwegs.
Haha, ich liebe Hunde, auf auf dem ACT Kroatien hatte ich aber auch einmal einen Hütehund auf den Fersen. Natürlich war der Schotter an der Stelle besonders grob ;-)
You can not ask for more from a bike like this, awesome! But i think your body-size is a real advantage in this situations! Btw: what a beautiful country bosnia is! Those (huge) dogs, they are basically protecting a herd of animals, usualy sheeps, this seems to be a common issue in the east! Apartments looking great for the money, although not so if "nothing works" !? But compared to the overprized "tent places" still great, because a real bed!
@@FreeMilesMCyou're going to see a whole lot more of those so get used to them. Mostly they just want you to get away from their herd, which was just on the left when they came to escort you, and they might also want to have some fun. Your main priority is to safely and consistently navigate away, don't rush, do crazy things, etc. If you have an ultrasonic dog repeller that might help a little.
Those are defenitly livestock guardian dogs. They are big so they can fight of wolfs. I did the BIH TET last year and I talked to the shepards. Dogs are scary, but mostly harmless.
@sCiphre an ultrasonic dog repeller might not work against dogs with a job. They might have a bit more drive than an opportunistic stray. Also hard to use while on a bike. Better than nothing though!
What tyres are you running on the RE? The right tyres for off road really do make all the difference 👍 really enjoy your videos , Bosnia is on my wish list for sure !
I am using mapout. MapOut is not free tho. Mapy.cz is the free Application i like to use. Can do the Same stuff is just more complicated to use as it is on an Open Source base
Funny how steep down hill looks like steep up hill 🤯 Would love to try this on my 50cc scooter 😅 That's a lot of flying insects at 5:00! Those cattle dogs were scarry. Bad timing with the terrain. Good job not crashing. You captured the steepness at 15:00 good, I think. Accommodation looking really good but not being comfortable sucks after a day of travel. How are you enjoying the trip?
@@FreeMilesMC btw those were definitely sheep guard dogs, they are not really dangerous afaik. they might circle you but won't kill or bite you. and one trick I learned for going steep downhills is to shut the engine off and just use your clutch as a rear brake together with front brake (rear alone won't hold you). you can go super steep slopes with this method fairly safely. no need to keep the engine running you don't need more momentum :D
@@FreeMilesMC maybe you like cold showers I don't know :D but my experience with boilers was that you had to turn it on yourself. there is a braker switch or a button somewhere in the room or hallway and you have to give it some time to warm the water up (maybe overnight).
I guess you are not too familiar with dog body language. That was no real attack, that was them making clear that they are the security and please move on. Talking to dogs in such a situation in a calm quiet friendly tone makes all the difference. I grew up with a Hovawart, a breed of guard dog. (Somebody accidentally made them outspokenly silly guard dogs, though) It's easier to understand the wild show dogs put on when on duty for me, thus. I totally get how they scared you crapless. Next time tell them just how scary they are in a friendly cheerful tone and you'll see how much more relaxed they get. 🤗
I have to say that your videos are becoming better and better. I have one thing that is bothering me and please dont be offended by this. The thing is you use too many swear words and for example I can't even watch your videos in the presence of my daughter or any children... But all the best on your adventures, they are awesome!!!
I am actually Trying to work on that. It’s Hard sometimes when stuff does Not work. And also because englisch is my second Language. It’s Hard to pick up on my own swearing as i learned englisch from Movies

Maybe they were Akbash? Those are turkish sheep gearing dogs. They are very big and strong and can even match against a wolf.

The RE Interceptor took a beating and kept running.... I'm about to take mine on a 1000 plus mile trip... I'll be on dirt roads for abut 6 miles... 😎

I met some dogs at parking lots...but not in the mountains( I think they are mostly around paved roads ) in the mountains they might be guard dogs
