With all due respect, why wouldn't you just let him speak? Was a bit rude and snarky. I honestly didn't like HOW you asked him questions, cutting him off. Not cute sis. And by the way, "blessings" are not material things. "Blessings" are life, health, and strength. You might be counting the wrong things as such. I'm sure that was a "fluff" piece that you really didn't want to do. It showed.✌🏽

He is the founder of the Ted Williams Project, a non-profit organization serving homeless shelters..his voice is so awesome.
Thank you for this interview with Mr Williams. I remember that first time he was "discovered"...and was always amazed at how he rose to fame. His is such an amazing story.

A D You are correct. I was replying to "... Can't get a break". In this case, that simply is not true. He got many breaks. More than most people will ever receive. He even acknowledges that he "... squandered through a few things." Truth -----> power.
We gotta let mans speak. We wanna hear him so badly. A harsh downside to being without a home is that, often, people don't even give you the time of day, let alone give you time to share dialogue. We are too busy to live and enjoy our own lives; arbitrarily, mind you.

She trying to get more questions in. She have only a hour show. Plus it interrupts by commercial. It is easy for you to say stop interrupting him. You are not the host. So to me stop criticizing Tamron. She do have more than one guest on the show at one time!!! Just saying let her do her job

When I first heard that voice it gave me chills. God bless him 🙏💯❤️
I can relate to his struggle. It's a hard road to deal with any kind of addiction, and especially one brought on by unhappiness. What is so sad is that he seems to be a genuinely nice guy swimming in a shark tank, he's been bit a couple of times and it shows.
I remember the video they showed when they had just pulled him off the street, his eyes were full of suffering. He looks much better now, but his eyes are tired, he's seen a lot of the world and retreated a bit. Mercifully he hasn't gone back to drink.
I wish him well, hope that things continue to work out for him and that he doesn't lose hope. It can be a mighty tough world out there.

Ted is such a gentle spirit, he's lying in this though, but he truly is a good guy who's just had his share of bumps in the road. He used to come into my job to pick up Western Union transactions. That smile he wears is permanent though. I'm so glad to see him still trying his best! Good luck out there Ted!

super nice guy, he was visiting the hospital where I work and i was like "hey arent you,,,,," and he started talking...and there was no doubt! Very nice guy, and insisted on not just a picture but a video as well...
Not much of an interview on her part seemed to be more about his relapses but I wish him well always.

Hey Ted its Angie. I'm the girl who stood right behind you in line at the Dayto. V.A. HOSPITAL my son Ray was with me. Remember we were at the event called Stand down day. Event for the homeless V.A. veterns. We were given gift cards t shirts Army boots. You gave a speech that day. Since then my son died Ray. V.A. gave him wrong medicine. And I now do volunteer work for homeless addicted females.

He does NOT look like what he has been through. He has an amazing smile and his future is bright. There is purpose in his story. I wish she would have asked him more about his recovery through relapsing twice vs his relapsing. She seemed like she was focused on his failure.

Amazing smile because he was given it. I have bad teeth to due a congenital problem, but I can't afford to fix it. Maybe I should become homeless. I wish him well, but damn...he was handed the world and screwed it up...What about all the people who have it bad that are NOT alcoholics or junkies?
@Hiro Takadi We all have our paths. Ted came from a good family, a proud family. I don't think it was any mistake that he was brought low, he learnt a few hard lessons on the way. There is more to his life than we've ever heard.
A poor mans wealth is the love in his heart for his fellow man, in his generosity. He has so little that he has nothing to lose, his life is hard, therefore he understands and sympathises with the sufferings of others. If he can do that without being bitter about his financial situation, then he'll win himself the Kingdom of Heaven.
Beauty is not to be found in flawless skin, straight teeth or a perfectly symmetrical face and figure. It is found in the soul of a person.

He said he’s been homeless for years though. Our society is failing him by providing hundreds of millions a year for homeless services and not actual housing.
She needs more experience. It was not a good interview. She was too detached and almost rude. Thumbs down absolutely for her characteristics.
I saw a video of him from a month ago tonight and i wrote this: When one can name the day and time when their life was changed for them, it is a lot more going on within them and the Heaven's than we can explain. This man has not failed or fallen. He is simply serving the purpose for which he came to earth. Not all things go the way people think they should. There is a greater purpose for the outcome of things that don't look like the way we are taught, which they appear.
It's true, we each own road to walk, our salvation to work out, weaknesses to be faced. Ted is a 100% human being, just hoeing his road.

I had almost forgot about him but remembered seeing his RUclips channel around 3 years ago. Unfortunately the views would barely break the small hundreds. A lot of people said he had the perfect voice for radio, but the moment his 15 minutes were up, people largely forgot about him.
I've always wondered about this guy. Every now & then, he pops into my head for no apparent reason. Strangely, I myself have always wanted a deep, booming & commanding voice, despite being told that I already have one. I can't claim to have the same (or even similar) golden voice of Ted Williams, but I guess it's easier to recognise positive characteristics in other people rather than oneself, unless you happen to be a complete narcissist. Anyway, while he has a God-given gift, I can only hope he continues to learn & grow to make the best possible use of his talents for the betterment of himself & his family. No one really *deserves* to be homeless & struggling financially, especially if they live in that self-proclaimed "Greatest Country on Earth" 🙄. For his candor in speaking honestly about his past & his own failings, I wish him nothing but the best for the future & hope his situation turns around for the better. & for the interviewer, Tamron Hall, geez lady, let the guy get a word in!
He doesn't just have that voice naturally. When you go to school for radio they teach you the radio voice and thats what he did before everything went downhill for him. So basically you can do that too if you want that radio voice.

No, I am also curious why he is an inspiration. This is a man that has several opportunities to make something off himself, but has squandered it each time beacuse of drugs and alcohol, and now he has no place to call his own. WOW, such great inspiration!

No it's the genuineness of his heart, his eyes that sell it. The smile of a decent and honest human being telling his story. Smile would have been as radiant even with dentures. His smiles says: Yes, I've made mistakes, and had a hell of a ride to here, but I'm alive and still cracking.
That's the essence of a million dollar smile.

I always liked this guy. I sincerely hope he’s ok.
Team Williams all the way, this guy is the most defined Human character to meet social media. He is not a liar or a thief, he's a reasonable and honest thinking Human with unfortunate but very familiar history with a lot of those in his circumstances. You cannot permanently vilify someone for past actions and if that's the norm of the future, it was only driven by psychotic narcissists in ugly bodies or circumstances they just don't want so much that they have to attack others and horrify their existence in a bitter fit.
This man had a bad following to his tale but anyone who knows or has a lick of it understands, including addicts and psychiatrists and counsellors alike. You can't throw money or attention at an addiction and expect someone to wipe their tears, kick a little dirt and walk along with their lives. These problems still exist deep within a person. Those problems do not define who you are, however, or what they can grow to become. Everyone just liked a good-story-goes-bad mentality for awhile, mostly religious and Reality TV moms and families, honestly.

I usually love her interviews but for some reason she kept interrupting him. I am not sure if the interview was designed this way...meaning, maybe he can't stay focus long or maybe there was a medical reason why she wouldn't let him complete a sentence. I am praying for him.

What is that last question though? If he never had that viral moment, he'd either still be on the streets or certainly worse off without the opportunities to reconnect with his family. How baffling to ask him that question.
But his answer showed that he, himself, had thought about it. The fame is double edged. Much of it, he (and other celebs) could certainly do without.

This guy has the most genuine spirit about him I've seen in a long time from second chances. From where he has been, anything better is better and he obviously truly appreciates it... what a good soul he is. God bless this man for life, may he never take for granted.
