Estes Park Colorado Gateway To The Rockies

The town of Estes Park, Colorado, about sixty miles north of Denver, is the jumping off point to the Rocky Mountains National Park one of the most visited of America’s National Parks. Each year about four and one half million visitors pass through the charming mountain town as they enter the vast wonderland of mountains, lakes, and forests to gaze at herds of wild Elk and bluest sky imaginable. The area was first settled in the 1850’s but for hundreds of years native tribes had made the area their summer hunting grounds.
