The Black Angels very clearly wear their influences on their sleeves. With each new album they reveal more and more of those influences. Their music is undeniably retro, but completely fresh and that's what makes them so great, IMHO.
I love this song. This particular performance of it is just killer. It has such an ominous tone and more aggresive approach that fits the lyrical theme "like glove."
Hope the black angels come to the UK soon. Had the pleasure of black rebel motorcycle club come to Liverpool England 3 years ago. Would love to see the black angels play the same venue
Fuck yes! I saw them at Mad Planet and it blew my mi d and I haven't looked back since! 🤤🤘🤯 The analog multi-projectors was too cool! One of my top 3 shows for sure! 😍🤩
saw them last night at the metro in chicago such an amazing band with a incredible sound with a extrodinary show and crowd and they need to reckoned as the most uniquest band of all times
I love this band so much. Seeing them for the first time at Scala in Kings Cross in September - i`m so excited! Also all the videos of this gig are great - French TV? Why can`t we have something like this on British TV?
Thanks Tom, I'm gonna check the Stranglers then (sorry, they are probably famous, I live under a rock, next to a guy who thinks that Bob Marley is still alive)
@zackwells4 y do u write this stuff..??? u want to make other people jealous??? :PP I want them to come to Greece!!!!! i want to see them live too :((((
Sounds like if the Velvet Underground took Acid instead of hard drugs, truly beautiful music: Hugh Cornwell of the Stranglers is reminiscent of Jim; pretty photo you've got there, yours, Paisley Tom
its illegal to dislike a live Black Angels video.
macdaddyluigi15 I guess that’s why their on the run
this is their best album imo, I love the other ones but Directions to see a Ghost sounds like nothing else
SO awesome!!!
I as a female fan find it so cool that they have a female drummer. Go Stephanie Bailey!!!
She absolutely rocks! 🤘
Uber cool
Saw them live and swear I was transported to another dimension ... I was high as a kite of course but it was awesome!
Seen them like 18 times now, so feel ya.
That made me chuckle I saw hawk wind at Stonehenge so get where your coming from !
How many videos did you copy paste this comment on lol
In all fairness, you can have a really bad experience anyways... if the bands not amazing, like this! 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Well said
Badass storm of guitars.
Great way to describe it!
That howl in the beginning is soooooo gooooos!
I heard this on the new netflix series 'to the lake' a Russian pandemic series, I hunted it down, love it
Same
Same😌
Their music sounds amazing prerecorded,live,on a rooftop...anywhere.
They are great live !
best live version I ever heard
Holy shit what a great performance !
I love this song. This particular performance of it is just killer. It has such an ominous tone and more aggresive approach that fits the lyrical theme "like glove."
Wish I could make music like this.. seriously!
Love that buzzsaw guitar that comes in halfway
That wall of sound, the screech of playing with your guitar with a tambourine......Perfection!
I wish their newer stuff sounded this good!
Their new album takes a little time, but after awhile it's gold!
I also heard that song in "To the lake" russian movie. Definitely it has a good dark atmospheric
Four guitars, tambourine, and drums. Reminds me of Brian Jonestown . Get to see BLack Angels in a week and a half. Time travel technology anyone?
@Fender0196 it's a Rogue Electric Sitar, which is based on the the old Coral/Danelectro Sitar. they also use it on Manipulation.
🔥🔥🔥🔥👍
on POINT! They sound so good here, hopefully they come through Seattle this fall.
Great version of a great song.
Hope the black angels come to the UK soon. Had the pleasure of black rebel motorcycle club come to Liverpool England 3 years ago. Would love to see the black angels play the same venue
I listened to this song on The Darkness 2 trailer and I've been a fan ever since!
Took me a min...or so...to find this song and now live version! Such a fab song w a pulse and throb that wnt quit. So The Doors' vibe in many ways.
fortunate to see them play in front of 50 people years ago .My how they have grown.
I just thank gta 5 for "black angels, grease" that I found out more of their awesome music. Love this band.
Same, my favorite band since then
exactly, without gta 5 i would've never discovered these guys. they really picked some great songs in that game
Un des meilleurs groupe,un son incroyable en live,en concert à Paris le 23 septembre.Vive les Black Angels.
Awsome!
Thank you for sharing.
just awesome this band is blowing my mind everytime I hear this song
Milwaukee's waiting for your return .
Fuck yes! I saw them at Mad Planet and it blew my mi d and I haven't looked back since! 🤤🤘🤯 The analog multi-projectors was too cool! One of my top 3 shows for sure! 😍🤩
Unreal!
love this ♥
It's really easy. This band is on a higher level than most.
When Nate just casually picks up the tambourine and causes ludicrous amounts of distortion and feedback like it ain't no thang: epic.
saw them last night at the metro in chicago such an amazing band with a incredible sound with a extrodinary show and crowd and they need to reckoned as the most uniquest band of all times
Very powerful..this IS how they sound live - great f-ing video, thanks for putting it up...
Brilliant!
To the Lake ♥️
J'adore ce groupe
Awesome! thank you black angels
Ah the good old days .
music.. for those few still alive...
I love how he opens with the scream, like, "wondering if I can do this live? You don't have to wait to find out."
Outstanding. ❤️❤️❤️
I love this band so much. Seeing them for the first time at Scala in Kings Cross in September - i`m so excited! Also all the videos of this gig are great - French TV? Why can`t we have something like this on British TV?
Thanks for posting this. I always find myself coming back to this video.
Holy mother of pearl. Best videos ever! Thanks
It's a univox custom 335 copy, made before 1968. Great sound by the way.
Looking forward to see them live @ Tivoli The Netherlands!
Amazing.
Definite Doors influence. I usually describe them as a modern cross between the Doors and Jefferson Airplane
Superb description feel the same way
They should put this gig on bluray. Every clip ive seen is fricken brilliant!
oh man. i love this band. coolest shit ive seen in a long time
this band is pure fucking brilliance!!!
BEST FUCKING BAND EVER

espectacular sonido
Great !
Wow
YEAAAAAAH !! The Doors are back !!!
Grand!
They're playing 5 UK dates next week, and in Manchester on 17th September...
Stunning. I love the sound of the 12 string - dirty! And is that a sitar-guitar the singer's playing?
ouf !!!!!!!!!!
Love that Univox. Can someone please tell me the guitar Alex Maas (The lead singer) is playing? thanks
thumbs way up!
"Embrace theeee darknessssssss!!!!"
It's an electric sitar. They've got a real one now. Sounds amazing.
Only band these days with actual skill, hopefully they stick around
Yeeeeeaaaaahhhh!!
Do you guys hear The Doors in their sound too? Or maybe it's just how the lead singer sings. Anyways, how can anybody dislike this??
Always thought the same too. Def. the Doors channelled.
jim morrison vocals, anyone hear jesus and mary chain? great sounds.
exactly so good
@PastaCheifFilms yep. Love jamming along with this tune on my six string, but it just doesn't sound the same as it would with a twelve.
@KlumzyThePunk i'm 17 and i'm going to see these guys friday, can't fucking wait
♥♥♥
That 12 string guitar is superbe, Can someone identify it for me? Tx in advance.
nice 1, ain't heard much of the Warlocks lately though?
Reminds me of Roky and the 13th Floor Elevators
Muito bom:D
@vad64shelby3500 it's called a univox coily guitar
Best song on Directions... By the way, Alex's guitar is a trip!
Howl ... (!) ...
the only man who doesn't "like" probably forgot to trun on the sound ...
Thanks Tom, I'm gonna check the Stranglers then (sorry, they are probably famous, I live under a rock, next to a guy who thinks that Bob Marley is still alive)
This is almost every sound I want in a band. Tame Impala and Pond fill the rest out.
No way! I didnt know they made those!
Yeah ever since Nate left they got that singer from Elephant Stone to play bass and sitar.
Damn, I need a drink....and something else lol
Saquen el Triip!!
holy fuckk
The big four black angels, BJM, Warlocks, BRMC
Come Jackie,.. embrace the Darknessssss..
ozzy Fer And now I feed!
@zackwells4 y do u write this stuff..??? u want to make other people jealous??? :PP
I want them to come to Greece!!!!! i want to see them live too :((((
as well as delirious it's a good thing
most underrated psychedelic band, but i kinda like them underrated
Holy fuck.
de La Fuega
Jim Morrison quality on vocals
Every fucking hair on my body is rising!
Sounds like if the Velvet Underground took Acid instead of hard drugs, truly beautiful music: Hugh Cornwell of the Stranglers is reminiscent of Jim; pretty photo you've got there, yours, Paisley Tom
The Velvet underground did plenty of lsd my friend.
@KlumzyThePunk Yeah, I guess I'm one of the only teens in my town who listens to psychedelic/drone/doom, feelsbatman, but... oh well...
