Hey Thoren, just wanted to say thanks man. I lost my brother 2 weeks ago to an overdose and I felt like I was losing my fucking mind. I don't know what it was about this channel but sparked something in me so yesterday I went out and bought a cheap ass ewing axe and cut my first tree down today. I understand it now. The feeling that you get whenever you're working you're f****** dick in the dirt, and you got blisters all over your hands and it's like drizzling outside and you're just sweating your ass off, and you know that you can't quit because you can visibly see the progress that you made in the tree, and then once you finally start here in that first crack from your back cut and it starts talking to you,.... I don't know how to say it without sounding corny but it was the first time that I actually felt like awake and completely present. I just want to say thanks man you may not get to see the positive that your channel is doing, but whether you see it or not man it's happening and I just want to tell you I truly do appreciate this channel man
Hey bro I'm so sorry to hear about your brother and from an overdose, wow that's really really hard to go through something like that I can only imagine. I'm addicted to fentanyl it's a real tough one man. God bless you and your family 🙏

The thing is that chopping axes also split firewood, although they are not designed for that, but sometimes they do the trick. The video was funny, hehe.
It’s rare in this world to see a complete package of beauty, beautiful man, talk, subjects, hand work, environment, self confidence, forest, a whole package of beauty
My dad used to split wood with a chopping ax like that, accept he had a trick instead of letting it get stuck in the wood. When he would swing as soon as the cutting edge of the ax hit the wood he would twist his wrist and the side of the ax would hit and help split the wood and keep from sticking. It all happens in one motion, and is very hard to do. But he was pretty good at it.
Hardened with lubricant and cobalt most likely. Very expensive designed for both, I wouldn't risk hitting the head though, tempered throws metal chunks when used as a wedge axe.
Love using a skinny axe on dry wood, it just splits apart. Use that same force on green wet wood and the bit sinks in a few inches and it ain't comin out.
@ThorenBradley 100% agree, I'm just saying, I wouldn't use a cutting axe over a maul or thicker profile axe head with green wood, unless only tool in the shed, I've split wood professionally for a good part of 20 years, I do like the way a cutting axe head blows through wood that has been bucked up and sitting for a bit, but we all regret the battle between them big knotty hardwood pieces and all we have is a cutting axe
If the wood is super dry, the chopping axe being so much sharper will slice right through it. I notice the biggest difference when the wood is soaked, or twisted gum or something like that. That’s when the mauls come out
Thorn bro, im Australian and i use a old Plum Axe for splitting my redgim at home, yes they can get stuck but i find it splits heaps better then a splitter. If you can find a old plum axe head buy it
"And here is why that shouldn't work:" *works* "Eehm.. 😅" I guess your skill is too good now, to demonstrate the issue, since you probably could split wood with a baseballbat 😂 Good work
I love moments when someone who knows what theyre talking about explains why something is only to be immediately disproven by something that shouldnt work on paper
So wait, is it skinny cheeks or is it fat cheeks? I’m confused now lmao! I’m in state of Maine in the northern woods the countries axe capital. You should see the types of axe that I’ve used a long my way. I get you brother sometimes it makes no fucking sense when things work in ways they shouldn’t.
No I don't, and it's not because that he is gorgeous it's because I'm a man, and I'm definitely not attracted to other men. But if I had to choose to make out with a guy I probably pick him I do it one time, okay three times but that's it that's the cut off point.
😂 “soft hands” 😂 nobody in this video said anything about anyone “being special”. So the fact you had to come out and defend your skills, feels insanely strange. Skilled people are NEVER throwing shade in comments. I’ll let you sit with that one.

So sorry to hear about the loss of your brother. Good move, getting out there into the woods and spending this quality nature time

Keep it up, bud. Sorry about your brother. Time will heal. Swinging an axe as hard as you can as healing as hell though. :)

The visible frustration from tools working TOO well 🤣
“Use it for whatever TF you want.”
You’re the best, man. Just the best.
“Thick cheeks. Narrow cheeks. Love ‘em both.” It tickled me 🤭 that he had to blush a little at the double entendre. 😊😂 #littlecheeksmatter
When Thoren approached the log with an axe in his hand, the log said fork it, and split itself!
😂😂😂😂 underrated comment

Introducing Michael Phelps Forest edition
That's who he reminds me of man I couldn't figure it out. Thank you
the human shotgun is back
Yay! You are back! You have saved me so much time splitting wood, thank u ❤
"Idk, use it for whatever the fuck you want to use it for." 😂
He just gives up😂😂
I think this is as much a testament to Thoren's skill as it is to the axe.
As a Aussie, this is the axe to use on the eucalyptus. Trust me.
For splitting too?
"Thick cheeks and narrow cheeks. I love em all" 😂😂😂
It's pretty dope to see when an axe defies expectations. Awesome video.
Nuff said. Happy Holidays!😊
It’s rare in this world to see a complete package of beauty, beautiful man, talk, subjects, hand work, environment, self confidence, forest, a whole package of beauty
Too handsome for words
This is now my favorite video, i actually know your channel because this specific video 😂😂😂👍
That’s too cool!
😂😂😂 That was beautiful!! "Use it for whatever tf you wanna use it for" 😅😅😅
😂😂😂 omg i love how he looks sooo "just over it" after he says use it for whatever you want...and is walking away!! So genuinely miffed

Damn Brother you're a beast😂
Love your videos as always, your camera quality is insane
Well dang! That’s a big compliment. Thank you!
Holy shit. I am straight but this guy is like the embodyment of male perfection.
Love the "snap, snap" almost as much as I love the suspenders!! Where can I get a set!?
I have that same tazie pattern axe it is definitely slick helko definitely makes a sweet axe
Moral of the story…don’t fuck with Thoren regardless of the axe 😂
I really like yur vid , thx for sharing
Es que las hachas para cortar también rajan leña, aunque no están pensadas para eso, pero a veces cumplen. Te quedó gracioso el vídeo, je je.
The reaction when it split the wood 😂
Very funny man! Thank you 😂
DUDE!! Where'd you get your suspenders!?! I love em!!
Good laugh to start my day! 😂
Nice and shiny!
Very!
Never enough f works. 😂 my kinda coworker
Hardened with lubricant and cobalt most likely. Very expensive designed for both, I wouldn't risk hitting the head though, tempered throws metal chunks when used as a wedge axe.
Even the wood wants to split and spread for this guy 😂
Shine ON!!!

If it's softwood. That is very true. But this is hardwood...easier when green or fresh
I saw that head and knew right away "that axe is for throwing"
that's insane
Cheek Busters. Nice
thick cheeks, narrow cheeks... love em both. well said
Is that the tasmanian race axe ? Or the expedition ?
I have a little 3.5 pound like this and I've used it to split 40 pound logs, although it took a bit it worked pretty well
yo Thoren i have a question
do you use a chopping block?
which would you prefer
just the log on the ground or on another log
I like this
Axe said “ keep my name out yo FKIN MOUTH”
I'm so glad I found❤
Chopping axes suck to use on freshly cut green wood, but once the wood dries a bit it blows right through it
I am NOT trying to tell you I told you so here. But just for context. This is oak. And oak is easier to split when green. And this wood is green here.
The universe likes to prove you wrong some times hahah

Торен, у тебя шикарный топор!
That looks like a racing axe. I would say 400 maybe 500 bucks? Its like a Ferrari where a regular axe is a F-250. Am i somewhat close?
Hey what suspensors do you use
"And here is why that shouldn't work:"
*works*

Good work
I'm attracted to this guy and im not even gay

Where is when you took the belt off your jeans,I liked it?
That wood was probably dry as shit. Hahaha
I just really want to know what the axe is.... what is the manufacturer?
What kind of axe is it ?
I love moments when someone who knows what theyre talking about explains why something is only to be immediately disproven by something that shouldnt work on paper
Ive been needing a new handle for my splitting axe so ive been using my regular axe on smaller rounds with surprisingly a similar experience
Ok this was funny and that finger snap was hot 🥵 I need a nap 🫠
😂😂😂😂😂😂! Your info is 100% on the money! But yah!😂😂😂
What brand suspenders?
Mine got stuck a lot. i think if someone dulled it up it might be a good splitter lol
What kind of ax is that?Would like to purchase
Helko werk
I swear, I heard every word he said.
Concave and convex are the terms you're looking for. The one "with no cheeks" is of a concave design, the other one "with cheeks" is convex...
made me lol
I’m just tryna find out who makes it😂
Who makes the "Thick Cheeks" axe?
Failed successfully 🧐
🤣🤣🤣 here endith the lesson
You get what you pay for brother lol
All about the cheeks! 😂
Don't bring steroids to the woods.
Thats a chopping axe not a splitting axe
So he is a splitter not a chopper😅
I actually spend more time with a chainsaw than I do an axe 😂 just don’t like filming when I use a chainsaw
Let me tell you something.
LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING.

No I don't, and it's not because that he is gorgeous it's because I'm a man, and I'm definitely not attracted to other men. But if I had to choose to make out with a guy I probably pick him I do it one time, okay three times but that's it that's the cut off point.
Why is my girlfriend watching these 😔😪🤧
this guy just pretends to llive in the woods LOLL wtf!!
Son I used to split wood with my grandfather's double bitted Axe. You ain't nothing special.
