From this fact, we aren't sure how different Old World Bazelgeuse are from their New World cousins, at least so far." The misfired scales of many individuals have been found in that particular locale, showing that place was their original home. Normally, they aren't common." "During the recent Elder Crossing, Zorah Magdaros traveled through many lands while going to its final resting place, affecting various ecosystems as it went on its journey and causing monsters to become more active during the Elder Crossing, including the rare Bazelgeuse." "While Zorah Magdaros was causing a commotion, many of the Bazelgeuse in the New World went looking for new territories during the disturbance, trying to dethrone the current apex monsters in other environments and acquire the new lands for more prey." "Bazelgeuse live deep in the mountainous parts of the Elder's Recess, considered to be the highest parts of the New World, where they can see just about everything on the continent and keep a close eye on other locales for potential territories filled with lots of prey." "To help it travel to new lands, Bazelgeuse evolved massive wings to help it fly. Unlike other flying wyverns, Bazelgeuse barely flaps its wing while its in the air, so it can sneak up on prey from above before ambushing its victims." "If Bazelgeuse wants to travel to new places, it can simply glide to them. It's thought that their wings aren't the best for flight and that they primarily use them for gliding long distances, which could explain why they're often found living in high altitudes." "Since Bazelgeuse come from the Elder's Recess, some individuals could end up trapping themselves in certain locales during their travels, forcing them to live in a select few places and usurping the current apexes since they can't return to their original home." Click on the link: ( twitter.com/BannedDino/status/1109275129568202752?s=20 ) "Its nickname, Explosive Scale Wyvern, comes from the strange scales found under its neck and tail. "These fluids cool when they come in contact with the outside air before stretching out and solidifying, becoming Bazelgeuse's explosive scales. While on Bazelgeuse they are stable, but, once off it, they're unstable." "If stimulated or left to oxidize, they'll explode, severely damaging anything caught within the blast. Bazelgeuse knows this, and will directly strike the scales or roar to make them explode." "One would think that these explosions would damage Bazelgeuse as well, but its thick shell and an extra layer of heat-resistant skin under its scales protect Bazelgeuse from such impact. Its wings and the inside of its mouth have heat-resistant skin as well." "When hunting or facing off against an enemy, Bazelgeuse's body is known to glow intensely as its explosive glands go on overdrive and constantly produce bodily fluids, causing its explosive scales to fall off its body more frequently." In this "heated state," Bazelgeuse's scales will turn orange and explode immediately upon hitting the ground, making them deadlier than ever before." "It primarily enters this state when hunting, carpet bombing prey before swooping down and feeding on the remains of its quarry. Since its jaws and talons aren't very strong, it'll let some of its scales explode on the corpse to soften up its meal." "Bazelgeuse is also capable of breathing fire by using an explosive gland found in its mouth to do so." "Rather than the respiratory and digestive system, another system of organs secretes and produces the bodily fluids that Bazelgeuse uses. To protect its internal organs as it breathes, Bazelgeuse can close up its throat to prevent heat from entering its body." "Bazelgeuse has a cooling system in its body to help it stay cool when it heats up and needs to drink a lot of water to maintain a medium for the bacteria that it uses to create its bodily fluids." Click on the link: ( twitter.com/BannedDino/status/1269993954507964417?s=20 ) "Bazelgeuse are highly territorial, relentlessly attacking anything that dares enter into their turf. "By keeping other large monsters out of their territory, Bazelgeuse can have more prey for themselves without any competition. Many hunters fear Bazelgeuse because it'll often come out of nowhere while they're hunting." Edit: I have a pc set up now and I'm able to play it soon. I'll just have to wait to reach New World. Finally my account from old world can travel New World !
how do you like it so far?
Bazelgeuse: The answer to the question "What would it look like if the phrase (WTF WAS THAT) was made into a monster"
😂❤ this guy 👍
Might've been a small cast in World at launch but that was fine because Kulu & Bazel stole the show ❤❤❤
That Kulu with the crystal was the most jarring thing I had fought up to that point. Then I got that urgent quest about the 2 tempered Bazels. No better monster to make a Wyvern ignition greatsword set with.

Bazelgeuse is like that one kid in school that no one wants to play with but they join the fun anyway.
Me fighting Anjanath: *Hears a loud roar* Damn Anja! You aint never sound like that.
*Anjanath runs away*
Me: Aye where you going? I thought we were having fun.
*Music starts*
Me: Uhhhhh? *Turns around and sees Bazelgeuse standing there* AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
You hear this song and look to the skies
Here he comes
His theme itself is intimidating enough
This is one of my choice for the new Theme vote
I wish there was a video called "Bazelguese but it never starts" because you would fail the quest before the actual music can even start.
Guess who’s back
back again
Bazels back
1:50 and 3:57 are the best parts for me.
A wise man once said," I don't have to outrun Bazelgeuse, I just have to outrun you."
Bazel is a good friend if utilized properly.
Me: stuns the monster and I finally try out my op combo
*this plays*
0:10 oh my YES
I love the amount of "come on, I'll take you too" moments this game offers you. feels amazing to maintain control over an aggressively chaotic situation like that, every god damn time
When you like the theme too much to be mad that he coming
...and or don't pack Dung Pods to make him go away
PREPARE YOUR DUNG PODS!!!!!
Well of course we’re going to throw poo at him
B-52 bomber!

Imagine wyvern riding bazel
..now you can !
Yup
One time i left my quest loading to hunt a Jyuratodus for some materials and forgot to leave the main gate and went to get ice cream
When i came back Bazelguese was already fighting Jyuratodus and i was nearly dying
I set this as my ringtone and alarm so now whenever I wake up, I wake up in a cold sweat.
Can u help me make this my ringtone, idk how
I just wanted to go Fishing. 😔
The musical representation of the phrase: "Ah shit, here we go again..."
Bazelgeuse, the chaotic bully. He comes out of nowhere, messes with everything in sight, refuses to explain and goes away.
*casually enjoying MHW*
*suddenly a freaking B-52 bomber approaches*
"the hell..? OH FUCK OH FUCK OH FUCK"
Might be good workout bgm!
Guess who is coming to Rise?
;)
B2 is here and extremely near!
I'll never forgot my first time getting attacked by bazel. I was hunting a kulu yaku in wildspire waste and it was bright af(as it tends to be), it was near death and limping away and I was just following along until I hear this huge whooshing sound and get completely covered by this massive shadow.
And then the roar...
I fucking love bazel
Serious Evangelion vibes from this track.
You: exist
Bazel: and I took that personally
Basil is certainly intimidating at first, but once I realised he just wanted to join in on the fun, i can’t stop thinking of him as an overexcited puppy.
"I cant stop thinking of him as an overexcited puppy."
never did I think comparing bazelguese to a puppy would be so accurate lmao
Bazelgeuse, to this day, is the only monster I can't make flee from me in terror.
Had to channel his power once more
hunter: collects a mushroom.
bazingagoose: OH NOW YOU DID IT FU#÷R!!
The Vietnam War ended 18 years before I was born. This song still somehow gives me 'Nam flashbacks.
This guy is significantly cooler than Nergi just showing up on Zorah, I was just getting into high rank and was hunting a Rathian and Barroth in wildspire only for this guy to land and send both of them running only to chase me around the entire map, and the SIZE what an intimidating monster
The only thing missing are Tchaikovsky's CANNONS.
*Sighs*
"Who's gonna dungpod him?"
Whenever im listening to this theme, unironically i will always hear the bagels roar right at the beginning of the song, its just ingraved into my mind

"Bazelgeuse is a large flying wyvern that can be found throughout the New World and has rarely been seen in the Old World. The Bazelgeuse found in the New World seem to have evolved differently from their Old World cousins."
"Despite Seregios and Bazelgeuse having a similar appearance and adaptations, these flying wyverns aren't closely related to each other. From this fact, we aren't sure how different Old World Bazelgeuse are from their New World cousins, at least so far."
"As mentioned previously, Bazelgeuse can be found throughout the New World, but their true habitat is the Elder's Recess. The misfired scales of many individuals have been found in that particular locale, showing that place was their original home. Normally, they aren't common."
"During the recent Elder Crossing, Zorah Magdaros traveled through many lands while going to its final resting place, affecting various ecosystems as it went on its journey and causing monsters to become more active during the Elder Crossing, including the rare Bazelgeuse."
"While Zorah Magdaros was causing a commotion, many of the Bazelgeuse in the New World went looking for new territories during the disturbance, trying to dethrone the current apex monsters in other environments and acquire the new lands for more prey."
"Bazelgeuse live deep in the mountainous parts of the Elder's Recess, considered to be the highest parts of the New World, where they can see just about everything on the continent and keep a close eye on other locales for potential territories filled with lots of prey."
"To help it travel to new lands, Bazelgeuse evolved massive wings to help it fly. Unlike other flying wyverns, Bazelgeuse barely flaps its wing while its in the air, so it can sneak up on prey from above before ambushing its victims."
"If Bazelgeuse wants to travel to new places, it can simply glide to them. It's thought that their wings aren't the best for flight and that they primarily use them for gliding long distances, which could explain why they're often found living in high altitudes."
"Since Bazelgeuse come from the Elder's Recess, some individuals could end up trapping themselves in certain locales during their travels, forcing them to live in a select few places and usurping the current apexes since they can't return to their original home."
"Much like how Brachydios has developed a symbiotic relationship with slime mold, Bazelgeuse has developed one with a symbiotic nitrate-producing bacteria found in the water that it drinks." Click on the link:
( twitter.com/BannedDino/status/1109275129568202752?s=20 )
"Its nickname, Explosive Scale Wyvern, comes from the strange scales found under its neck and tail. Inside of Bazelgeuse's neck and tail are explosive glands, or fuses, that produce bodily fluids that are secreted from Bazelgeuse's body."
"These fluids cool when they come in contact with the outside air before stretching out and solidifying, becoming Bazelgeuse's explosive scales. While on Bazelgeuse they are stable, but, once off it, they're unstable."
"If stimulated or left to oxidize, they'll explode, severely damaging anything caught within the blast. Bazelgeuse knows this, and will directly strike the scales or roar to make them explode."
"One would think that these explosions would damage Bazelgeuse as well, but its thick shell and an extra layer of heat-resistant skin under its scales protect Bazelgeuse from such impact. Its wings and the inside of its mouth have heat-resistant skin as well."
"When hunting or facing off against an enemy, Bazelgeuse's body is known to glow intensely as its explosive glands go on overdrive and constantly produce bodily fluids, causing its explosive scales to fall off its body more frequently."
In this "heated state," Bazelgeuse's scales will turn orange and explode immediately upon hitting the ground, making them deadlier than ever before."
"It primarily enters this state when hunting, carpet bombing prey before swooping down and feeding on the remains of its quarry. Since its jaws and talons aren't very strong, it'll let some of its scales explode on the corpse to soften up its meal."
"Bazelgeuse is also capable of breathing fire by using an explosive gland found in its mouth to do so."
"Rather than the respiratory and digestive system, another system of organs secretes and produces the bodily fluids that Bazelgeuse uses. To protect its internal organs as it breathes, Bazelgeuse can close up its throat to prevent heat from entering its body."
"Bazelgeuse has a cooling system in its body to help it stay cool when it heats up and needs to drink a lot of water to maintain a medium for the bacteria that it uses to create its bodily fluids." Click on the link:
( twitter.com/BannedDino/status/1269993954507964417?s=20 )
"Bazelgeuse are highly territorial, relentlessly attacking anything that dares enter into their turf. The moment they hear the roar of another large monster, they'll immediately search for the source before either driving off or slaying the intruder."
"By keeping other large monsters out of their territory, Bazelgeuse can have more prey for themselves without any competition. Many hunters fear Bazelgeuse because it'll often come out of nowhere while they're hunting."
"However, more plentiful prey means that individuals could unintentionally attract a Deviljho to their territory, causing the two wyverns to fight each other. These long turf wars cause all weaker species to flee the area for safety." Click on the link: ( twitter.com/BannedDino/status/1269860529872474112?s=20 )
"As a warning to intruders, Bazelgeuse is known to leave behind misfired scales on the ground to mark its turf."

Holy shit that is a lot of lore!
I thought for the longest time that this was just the normal music that plays for every monster fight.
I've been looking for this song for the past week finally i found it (i didn't know what theme this was i just remembered the sound)
*Bombing intensifies*
Even now, He still fking comes to my hunt.
When your roommate wakes up after having a vindaloo lastnight:
KEK
Bazelgeuse invades my hunt so my dung pod invades his personal space
