I have 'no-spend challenge' weeks once a month. Hard but worth it!
Just fyi, generic medications have the same active ingredient as the brand name but the inactive ingredients are sometimes different. So read your ingredients if available...for allergy purposes.
Arilanna Sukhdeo Agree! Can purchase direct from manufacturer of brand medication in some cases. Also can appeal to your health insurance to approve brand meds if allergic or have adverse reactions to generic medication. (For USA anyways)

Here in the USA many generic meds come from China and not the same. Be careful.
A lot of people here hating on how fast you talk but I hate slow talkers so I really loved your video !

and if you want to hang on to going grocery shopping, make a list before yo go and stick to it.
At coles, if you shop online most of the products are actually more expensive! So for example a box of cereal is $5 in store, it will be $5.50 or $6 online. I noticed this the other day when I bought a couple of my regular stuff online and it added up to so much more, and then I also had to pay for delivery!
I only buy veggies online and whenever i go into the store I buy stuff I dont need

I actually hand wash my clothes and even jump ...jump...jump...over them after overnight soaking them in detergent. This way my clothes are cleaner than machine wash and my shoulders are toned as well. 😉

Your comment about generics is misleading. I work in the pharmaceutical sector. Genetics are not always made by the same companies and there are sometimes not the exact same formula. I understand that you're trying to help people but since you have such a following, you should look into what you're proposing. Thank you for what you do and keep up the good work!

Vanvacious very true, I generally use the generic, however you have to be careful switching over. The fillers can be different causing allergic reactions or causing the medication not to work as well for the individual. Sometimes with company rebates brand names can even be cheaper than the generics.

interesting about the shopping, costs us Nzers money to unfortunately get them delivered home around $15-20 bucks!, my trick is to obviously write a list of what you need and to have a snack before you go, saves you the want to be looking at foid you dont need ;) such a good video thank you xx

1. I live in the Middle East where we can drink water from the tap so we have to purchase water bottles:) (but they are super cheap)
2. I can't have groceries delivered here

i agree with the shopping online removing temptation however they do increase the price of everyday items so you've gotta be careful. ive started taking a list so i have something else to focus on 😀 love this video you have some great tips

instead of shaving cream one can use soap and can save a lot on one of those mean Gillette cans
or purchase non-aerosol shaving cream
S A - It actually hurts like hell using normal soap for some people depending on skin type. In that case rather purchase Gillette cans and razor blades in bulk to save money

Keeping water bottles in the fridge (or any sealed container) to fill up space in the fridge, if you have lots of free space in the fridge when you open you lose more cold air, if it's a cold item, the cold air that escaped is easily cooled down with cold items ... not explaining very well

To provide a reasonable counter-point to sales, I was eyeing a pair of Tevas and they had a Memorial Day sale in the states. Because this was something I was planning on buying, buying it on sale made total sense for me and I didn't buy anything else there. Don't shop a sale just to shop, do it for a reason.

I know some people say water doesn't taste like anything, but I always buy water because tap water tastes terrible. Ours was giving my daughter a stomach ache.

Finally some said it about consolidating loans!! I did it last year and worked out how much money i was saving by consolidating and it was in the THOUSANDS. Consolidated 2 loans and a cc card and not only am i paying WAY less interest by changing banks my repayments dropped and the loan is for the same amount of time as my existing loans. Definitely find the right bank for you but 100% best thing i ever did.

Great tips ! Yes filling water bottles with your tap water is a good idea if u filter it but at the same time if they pay for their water it won't be free anyway plus those bottles you can atleast get some change from it by going to the bottle and can returns.. great video though. Keep it up
For those of us who pay monthly for city water, it is not free to fill a jug...but yes it is cheaper and reduces plastic use. 🙂

This is good but I would have prioritized it based on what saves you most working down towards penny pinching...probably starting with consolidating your loans!
I bring my reusable cup from Starbucks and go to Chevron for 89 cents
If one is worried about water purity one can buy one water purification jug and spend maybe 10 a month for the filters depending on how much you drink. regardless it saved me a tremendous amount of money.
Here is something to be aware of about SALES. For example, Dept. stores have a 20 % off sale and you have to use your store credit card to get the discount, however, most dept stores have a 25% interest rate, so if you do not pay off the balance when the bill comes you end up paying even more than what you saved!
Have you heard of a water bill? I'm sorry but drinking tap water is not clean. It also costs more on the bill. But having a filter can make it clean :)

Have you heard of Flint? A Brita wont always help.
Kathrine La I am from Australia and they warn not to drink the tap from my area, people get very sick. Plus tap water still costs money, it's not free
