Great video, full of experienced testament, network machines sounds like money well spent, and l had never heard about that.
And Simon getting a shout out is just a nice thing to do...
And he replied too🖱
@@121235209 Hi Simon
I am in the UK, England, (Dorset).
I hear that you are on the mend, that's great news.
We both enjoy this content, others upload to, on this subject, but l stick with Keenan.....I learned just a couple of weeks ago, his wife is a successful author, of many books📚
I'd love to see a video on how to clean the bill validator on your change machine. Thanks for all of the great content.
Great Video Keenan - Thanks for making it
You made an interesting statement about distributors. Once you buy their equipment and its installed, 'they gone.' I hope people watching understand you can not depend on a distributor. They have their own laundromat to take care of.
This has been invaluable information for me. Thank you!
Thanks again, Keenen. Great and helpful info.
I know it sound simple. But laundromats are really quite easy to run once you get going.
Good stuff
Hey Keenan, thanks for your video, changed bearing with success but had problem, the shaft would go in only flush with bearing housing. so I remove inner drum and tried that way and same problem. I did grease up shaft but needed to use bolt and washer at the back with a spacer to pull it in all the way. All is good, and I'm sure I'll have more on my other machines to change. Thanks again from Ontario Canada
I know a armored car worker who is bonded. I get him to run the pickup if I can't get my son to do it for me.
A thumbs up is the least I can do
Thank you for sharing the information
Watch out for the "phone home" feature on the networked laundry machines, the manufacture might be able to know what you make through the "diagnostics" system. A good firewall can nip that by restrict it to talk to your IP only (where you want the data to go). This is why I am skittish about Internet of Things (IoT).
Love to see more repair videos. Also curious how the networking modules hook up / work / etc -- not so much the financials, but the wiring and control side of it.
I Hope You Have Great Vaction.
Thank you for the information and how to
Thanks a lot! Grat video and explication
Awesome content as usual.
I love my hydraulic press but most of the time I end up doing it this way with a socket and hammer cause you can hear the sound change when it seats like you said.
My question is when you purchase the bearing assembly it comes with directions that wants you to use a tool called Pulley bolt tightening fixture and a procedure for using it. Have you ever use this tool and do you have a video using it?
I have been doing work for a owner of a Laundromat. He asked me to replace the bearing on his washer (he has had some bad experience that costed a lot of money and done wrong) that is a similar model of the one you're working on in this video. I have replaced many bearings over the years. So this work doesn't bother me. But before I do replace the bearing assembly I like to do as much research as possible to do it right the first time.
I have enjoy your video's. I should have found these before I did most of what your videos have shown. Would have saved me some time. lol
Thanks for the vids!
No i dont use that tool. Its basically three long thread rods and a plate. That you use to hold a bottle jack. I just use three full thread bolts. Works for me and no issues wjth any damage. Dealer showed me how to donit this way. Dealer claimed speed queen tool was not necessary.
@@FollowingKeenan Sorry Keenan, I wasn't clear. the pulley bolt tightening fixture (part# 802336) is used for putting the pulley back on. The instructions tells You to put it between the washer and pulley, Snug the bolt up then loosen it enough to take it out. Then pull the inner basket forward so the washer hits the pulley. Then tighten the bolt to specs and try not to push the trunnion shaft forward while tightening the bolt. The tool looks like a candy cane.
Great Videos, very helpful. Is here way to get the part numbers for both the bearings and the seal?
In bearing change on Horizon washer Put bearings and seal in Freezer for About 2 Hrs. Heat housing with Heat Gun bearings with fall ring in. This will work on any bearing housing
Great video, really helpful. Where do you get the bearings from though ? I think our distributor only sells the whole kit with the aluminium trunion etc. Is there a part number for just the bearings please ?
I'll look for the part number. Ebay, Amazon, Grainger is where I get bearings from. Ebay and Amazon best prices. The seal I get from my dealer.
I'll do a short video on part number. It actually on the bearing themselves. Also I will show the seal part number.
I buy double shielded bearings. See in speed queen kit. They use pretty cheap bearings.
That’s great, thank you. I’ve been showing your videos to colleagues over here in the Uk as our alliance distributor has stopped doing proper tech support this year sadly (they used to be great). Don’t suppose you have ever done a video on changing a 804174P horizon deflector cloths guard have you ? None of us c an work out how to swap them ? Thanks again - great videos - really helpful !
Great video, I've been looking on and off for info on how to change these bearings and couldn't find much until now. Great info on the shocks.. can you do a video on how to change those? And a part number for them? Thank you!
Yes on shock I actually have some machines needing it done. Should have that video up next week.
Depending on how many bearings you need to replace it might be worth getting a hydraulic press for the even pressing force.
I'm sure he has one would just be a pain in the back side to take it to his place then bring it back to the laundromat. Time is money. What is your time worth ?
100 right bearing press is a must.
I have a bearing press, actually made the video for a viewer. Who I assume may not have access to one. When I do the 40 lb washer my press will be used.
How you clean SCOD in this machines ?
thanks for all your lessons they are very helpful.
I have 10 new stock-able alliance washer dryers M# UTGE5ASP115TWO1 year 2018 and 3 electronic board went out already, I was wonderin if you know for any recall because I think its very strange to me.thi part is about $ 600 to 700
Quick question what mix would you put in a 2400 square foot store?
In my area that would be a very large store. A lot depends on your type of customers. But if I had that where I'm at (4) 80lb, (10) 60lb, (40 or 30lb) 10, then (10) 20lb. So 34 washers, and 15 to 20 45lb stack dryers. Big folding area, big open concept industrial look. Kids area since you have room. Maybe even an eating area, maybe.
But you can build smaller and gear up also. Hard question to answer not knowing the amount of customers you'll have. Like building a walmart in the middle of no where. Sure looks great and has promise but no people to use it.
Thanks. Here 2400 is considered real small. This is in a high density "guns and knives" district as you put it.
Then big washers, that demographic loves big washers.
@@FollowingKeenan thanks for the reply. Love the videos.
How long does that bearing job last
As long as the horizon doesnt have any over filling error, should last 7 years on general use. Higher use 5years.
In busy laundromats you only want hardmount machines.
lol im getting better Only laundromat for miles Arlee Montana
I think you're lonely one that shows reality if you gonna have a laundromat you gonna have to work on your equipment.
