One of my cats always rubs my face, knocking my glasses askew! And all the nine things as well. Including all three cats come into the bathroom with me.
The kitten sleeping in the toilet paper clip was adorable! 😻 My cat used to do more snuggling, but as he's gotten older, he prefers to hold my hand while I sleep instead of get under the covers with me. He headbutts me more often now, and likes to nibble on my fingers. ☺
I brought a new cat home from the shelter a few months ago. We only know that she was brought to the shelter with her 2 kittens off the street and was underweight. By her behavior I'm convinced she did have a home once. But I knew she trusted us immediately because she came home 2 days after her spay, found a place she was comfortable to rest, and sprawled out to sleep like nothing in the world could ever hurt her. I get not resting on the fresh surgery site but she didn't even pull her legs in to cover her stomach when I touched her to check on her. It's amazing when you still have to learn each other but they still somehow just know they trust you.
Yep. It does take time for any cat to adapt toward change,to get used to their surroundings, and most of all,to love them and to spend at least some time with them. And not rush into it. Even on bad or when humans have lousy days coming from work, traveling abroad,or just feeling out of sorts. It's important to know that no matter what happens to human owners during life, cats will ALWAYS be there for them
when my cat brings me "gifts", I make sure to make a fuss over him, like I stroke him, talk to him affectionately etc. there's no way I'm going to punish him for doing what's in his nature, plus if I act disappointed, he might get the wrong idea and think he needs to bring me a different animal. and as annoying it is when he wakes me up at 6am to show me the baby rat he caught, it is cute to see how obviously proud of himself he is
I adopted my cat from a shelter 9 years ago. She was already one and with 33 other cats who bullied her because she was so small and already had a litter of kittens. She is so sweet and just want to give us love. She never leaves our sights and she sleeps on top of us she makes turns between me and hubby. She is very talkative but she also loves tummy’s rubs. She is a black with white and the most beautiful long white whiskers.
I feel that even though we are made to believe differently, your experience is more the norm than the exception. I’m kind of sick of this whole “cats are aloof” stereotype. I’ve had cats my whole life and they’ve always been loving. You just need to understand and respect them.
Wow! My little Schatten seen me as family from the beginning! He rubs his head against mine, needs me, purrs his head off and sleeps on my stomach at night. I love him, I'm glad I took him in.
So just to add on to number 4, if they let you help kill prey that is another sign that they trust and love you. My boy Handsome was playing with a mouse he found, unfortunately the side effect of living in a century old house, but he wouldn't end it. Instead he looked to me and kept it between us. He wanted me finish the prey off.
My cat grooms me, he loves me rubbing his belly, he demands my attention by meowing, bumpng me. He sleeps under me. He kneads on me. He trust me. He's my buddy ❤ . He's so relaxed around me. He does most of these things. He definitely talks back to me. Omg, it's like he answers my questions, lol.
Our old girl does all of the an above . She sleeps with me or my sister. She sleeps more with my sister than me we leave our bedroom doors open for her to leave if she needs to
My cat does all of them except 2, my cat is almost 9 months old and we have been with him for 7 months, so ever since the day he was able to separate from his mother! ❤
Both my babies are laying on me right now. My poor boys had a rough start to life until I adopted them. Their previous house was a really bad hoarding situation the owners had 40 plus unfixed cats, they were dirty and very under weight, had skin issues and their eyes were so full of gunk they couldn’t see out of them, my one baby who I named Royal had an eye injury. They also had next to no human contact and were very afraid of humans, I can tell from some of their behaviors upon being adopted they were abused and neglected. Thankfully the state stepped in and removed them as well as over 40 other cats that went to a shelter, thats where I came in and adopted my babies. They bonded very closely and I can tell the one would have never survived without his brother (they are believed to be bio brothers too) sadly when they were first available for adoption no one wanted him who I named Sterling because of his fear of humans and how “anti social” he was compared to his brother but thankfully the shelter refused to separate them, they told me In the 24hrs they had the boys adoption ad up they got hundreds and hundreds of calls from people wanting to adopt only Royal who was the more social of the two. They are my everything, i love them so much. Sterling is no longer anti social or afraid he is a very sweet boy. They are both extremely smart.
Let’s all love our animals and do everything we can for them ❤. Donate to shelters, help the strays, animals are absolutely amazing and need our help. We currently have a lot of stray KITTENS where we live and all shelters are full! They’re gonna die it’s winter rn, we can’t afford to help them with the two cats and financial situation we r in rn. Please people, help the strays as much as you can. I’m gonna be a vet, I’m in college rn and when I’m a vet I’m gonna help low finance families and animals and try to do everything I can to help people and animals who are desperately in need.
Our cat even managed to bring us live bat. Imagine - you are sleeping peacefully and then someone jumps on your bed and releases a live bat just above your head. Can have a heart attack from that! 😅 Our huntress! I would love to see HOW she manages to catch bats, those creatures don't walk on ground.
Bellissimo video Come sempre! Il mio Leo, confermo mi adora... Non è un gran chiacchierone, come la padrona 😂...ma mi ama secondo le informazioni del video!!! Dormiamo assieme e mi segue in ogni parte della casa Semplicemente adorabile ❤
My Walshy loved belly rubs. He'd flop onto his back like a bag of wet cement to get my attention and then purr like mad when I gave him pets on his belly. I still miss him...
All three of mine do, too. I think they must have to really trust you. Plus, I’m never rough, when rubbing their bellies. I’m very gentle. They will even grab my hand and pull it down for belly rubs.
You know, I really appreciate that you refer to having a cat as being a cat guardian, rather than a cat owner. I don't own any animals. They are their own persons; individuals with unique personalities, not objects to "own". They are akin to children that never grow up, children that don't have the capacity to make rational decisions that ensure their own safety and maximum wellbeing. As such, it is my responsibility as a human being to ensure their safety and happiness. So I am their caretaker, their guardian, not their owner. They aren't my slaves. They are my dumb babies.
What an adorable video! 😺 I definitely recognize some of these signs in my own feline friend. Thanks for sharing these insights. 🌟 Keep up the great work with your cat videos! 🐾😻
My cat used to lick me when I was in pain after my surgery. That is on top of all mentioned above. My heartbeat reminded her of her mother and she used to sleep on top of my left side. She would purr until she goes to deep sleep and then she would snore.
Does she ever!!!! I get a daily "belly kneed" ! She also frequently sleeps on my bed in the curve of my knees! She is a gray Russian Blue. She is very different from other cats we have had! We love her like crazy!!!!
Good morning, I have 3 cats. My Male cat is 9yrs old, my two girls are 5yrs old. My male doesn't have front claws. He was declared when I got him. My two girls. Both of my girls when they are needing on Me they constantly purring and purr when I pet them. My little tuxedo talks to me constantly meowing when she wants my attention or taking the top of her head and head-butting me on my leg my hip.
Great video! When I hear a cat being referred to as “it” it’s a little jarring, as they are living beings and not objects. I know it’s grammatically correct to do so, but I feel that changing our language will influence how we think of animals and how we treat them. The pronoun “they” works just as well and is becoming more common. Thanks for caring!
My cat head butts me, kneads me, sprawls all over my lap exposing her belly, meows at me, purrs etc.... I think she is in love with me. 😂😂😂. I love her very much too!
Great vid. Our cat exhibits most of the behaviors, especially to my wife. I'm usually in my office in the basement so she isn't around me as much. She is quite silent, however. If you talk to her she'll sometimes utter a little one syllable response. The only time she mewows is when we travel with her. She doesn't like travelling much. I will take exception to one of your observations. I've owned cats since I was a little guy and I'm 79 now. Most if not all will find the person who either doesn't like cats or has no experience with them and gravitate to them. My mother in law hated anything that was furry except her mink coat but all of our cats would jump in her lap, usually scaring her. I have been led to believe that behavior has something to do with the way cat's hunt. They'll station themselves near prey and then pretend to ignore them. When the prey thinks that they are safe, they've been had! So it seems that by ignoring a cat you are attracting them. A common behavior is for a cat to walk away from someone who is trying to coax them over so they can be petted. Then when the person decides that the cat doesn't like them they ignore the cat who then climbs up in their lap.
Sumi always yells or nudges when he wants something. When he leaves my room, he starts to talk saying "See you." Then I say "Later."😂 Visa versa😊 He slow blink me too🥰😘 He does sees me like Family🥰
What about when my big orange farm cat, walks under my feet while I'm carrying a basket of hay to the goats and darn near break my neck trying not to step on him with my big Ole muck boots. Lol he sleeps with my son, always on guard.
Nearly all these are part of my cat's repertoire. Some are also seen in the shelter cats where I volunteer. No belly rubs there! A cat you know well may take them as playful if you stay mostly between its front legs.
Our Cocker Spaniel passed away a year ago at 16. We got her when she was 10. I call them hobo cats that hang around our patio. Shadow, Malachite and Joey Bean. It’s a long story, but they are all friendly. They would head butt our Cocker and she would wag her tail. I’m sure the cats miss her, I know we do.
My cat loves to curl up between my feet at night. Sometimes when I try to get yup she grabs my foot and tries to hold it down. :P I dont know where she got this habit but she is so pleased making little chirp meows as she finds just the right position.
My cats are always wanting to sleep in my lap. Esp. when I'm sleeping on the recliner, which I do from time to time when my lower back is hurting me. Heh, growing old comes with many great aches. They also try to pace back and forth in front of my computer and try to sit on my keyboard so I have to, gently, move them out of the way so I can work. Silly fuzzbutts.
Because I worked overseas a lot once I spent 3 month in Atlanta GA with my family with me. A cat, living outside invited himself to spent time with us. Then we had to leave and go back home in France, so we left the cat "Minou" (the name we gave him). Since we came back one or 2 times per year in Atlanta, the next time it took some time but we went there where we used to live and called him. After some time, he came running and the first thing he did was to "spray" our rental car wheel. The following days, with the same rental car, he would come and wait for us before we were there. The same routine lasted for 10 years, and Minou was still very affectionate but very independent. Of course he showed us where he was living. He was adorable
my Blossom girl never makes biscuits, she was too young to have been weened properly and doesnt retain any of it she does show me her tummy all the time and she gets treats every time she bring me a #4 gift =)
The previous owner of my cat told me lengthily how close they were, how the cat was completely attached to her. She was 16 months old. When the cat came out of the carrier at my home for the first time, she looked around for 30 seconds, came over, rubbed her head on my entire body, and licked my face all over. Taught me a thing or two about the deep, and lasting affection of a cat. 1 hour after her previous owner was gone, and 30 seconds with me. I do not take that personally, though. It is just how cats are, sure they bond, but not as most here seem to believe. xD
My cat absolutely loves belly rubs. He sleeps on his back beside me at night and if I stop rubbing his belly he claws me and pull my hand back to his belly. He wants my hand on him all night
All three of my cats pull my hand down to rub their bellies, even my one girl, who is not as “needy” as the other two. My other two have to constantly be with me, and more often lately, my husband. She just goes off and does her own thing. She does love to play with the other two, though, so I know she’s not sick or anything.
All three of my cats love to have their bellies rubbed. They will actually grab my hand and pull it to their bellies, to be rubbed. I don’t rub them vigorously, the way many people play with dogs. I just stroke them, gently. Two of the three are always sitting on top of me and following me everywhere I go. They also go to the restroom, when I go, as one of their litter boxes is in the bathroom. If I don’t leave the door slightly opened, so they can get in, they freak out, whether they need to go, or not. Sometimes, they can open the door, themselves. lol
The homicidal cats that were part of the household would never sleep near me. They slept on me. They used me as furniture (sobbing - while snickering). Oh ... the trauma? I was ... so scarred? In fact, they successfully killed me. I had to revive myself to watch this video and comment. When circumstances are conducive, I will welcome kitties back into my life (you know, so they can murder me again.).
@@StAlphonsusHasAPosse lol my cats are always underfoot! I told the one, who’s the worst, that I should have named her “Rug,” because I’m always tripping over her.
my 6 yr old kitty likes to give me butt bumps more than head bumps. I already spend lots of time with her, but when she wants even more attention, usually to play or get a massage, the whole neighborhood knows. she will yowl until I stop everything for her. she makes more meow, purr and chortle sounds than any cat I've known. happy ones, satisfied ones, and the not so happy ones. she keeps me on my toes.
0:52 this is a big stereotype on cats being solitary creatures they're actually really social animals. 1:38 them kneading also is marking their territory as well too. 7:45 again mentioned above it's a big stereotype on cats' being solitary animals they're very social animals if properly socialized
My cat brought me a moth yesterday. She has also brought me two lizards, one didn't survive the trip upstairs, the second one got away, and it was in my house for a day before she found it the next day, and i had to catch it and take it far away outside.
My cat, Black Friday, does, or has done all 12 of those "considers you are family signs" at one time or another..............but since he doesnt go outside any more, i dont get live rabbits, frogs, or any other kinds of "gifts".
My cat does several of these things with me. Demands attention and exfoliates me each night after he's done with his zoomies, which I fondly refer to as the trampling phase of the evening. Nothing says Wake up now!!" like being run over at 3 am! And then comes the exfoliation....
2:55 But there are certainly exceptions. Almost every cat I've known, and all I've owned, love to have their tummy rubbed as part of full massage and one I have now will even flop over in front of me FOR a belly rub!
Yeah....That's my cat to a tee! But when it comes to rolling over onto his back and exposing his belly....In his case, that means "Rub it, human!" And I mean it! He actually gets mad or irritated if I don't drop what I'm doing to come over and rub his belly immediately! And when I do, the purr machine inside him turns on! He has some interesting traits that weren't mentioned here......He has an interesting quirk, in the sense that he's what I've seen called "social eating" on most sites. Contrary to most of the cats I've had or raised, who preferred to just eat their food undisturbed, he'll lead me to his dish and insist for me to be there with him as he eats, petting him and telling him what a good kitty he is as he does. In a way, I think that's a mark of how I raised him.....From the time he was given to me at the age of five months to the age of three years that he has now reached, he's received nothing but a healthy dose of love and affection from me. And I think that kind of rubbed off on him, based on his goofy, loving personality!
My cat sees me as her mom, I think. She also likes belly rubs. She rolls over onto her back to give me better access. I only do it for a short time because I don't want her to get over stimulated and start grabbing my hands with her claws.
My cat loves to groom me when I have lotion or makeup on. I know why she’s doing t, but how can I dissuade her from doing it? I’m afraid that what I put on my face will be harmful to her. I don’t want her to think I’m being negative or mad.
After learning these signs, do you think your cat(s) see you as family? 🐈❤
they might save your life sometime ...
I adopted an older cat - I think she has accepted me as family. When she has a bad dream and wakes up meowing I talk to her to calm her back to sleep.
Yes!
Yeah, I definitely recognize some of these signs in my own feline friend.
Somewhat. MAU is a Tortie and a hunter. Tortitude; Without a doubt. I am leaning in the stated direction of "Dogs have owners, Cats have staff!"
One of my cats always rubs my face, knocking my glasses askew! And all the nine things as well. Including all three cats come into the bathroom with me.
If our cats are laying on us when we need to use the bathroom, we say “Mommy (or Daddy) litter box” & they get up 😹

What does askew mean?
My cat head buts her food bowl as I lower it down for her meals. Yes, she loves that bowl - when full!😺

honestly, i don't know how I'm gonna remove that "gift" my cat gave me but i still appreciate it
Hugs to Majestica the Army cat!
@Dodoskee, Thank you!🥳 She is my resilient, little tuxedo, Army Cat!🫡
What about when my big orange farm cat, walks under my feet while I'm carrying a basket of hay to the goats and darn near break my neck trying not to step on him with my big Ole muck boots. Lol he sleeps with my son, always on guard.
Majestica, aged 6 is so adorable!!
@jenniferbalesteri2810, Thank you very much! 😻She is my beautiful tuxedo cat! I adore her!
I dont know where she got this habit but she is so pleased making little chirp meows as she finds just the right position.
I’m sneezing too much around cats to be affectionate with them.
My kitten has made it clear that im the kitten, not him 😂
my Blossom girl never makes biscuits, she was too young to have been weened properly and doesnt retain any of it
she does show me her tummy all the time
and she gets treats every time she bring me a #4 gift =)
I have had a few cats and in my time I am quite sure than NONE OF THEM ever saw me as family. I was seen as their live in household staff.
I'm so sorry that you didn't have a bond with your cats.
@@karenkelley3537 Please look up the meaning of the word facetious. Then reread the second sentence in my post.
My goofy cat LOVES tummy rubs especially when I'm sitting on the toilet!
My cat does all of these things and then some.
Purring next to me works better than Ambien 🥰
Cat guardian?! More like cat servant lol! And I wouldn’t have it any other way 😘
My cat nudges me, paws at my hands and meows at me all the time to get my attention
we have cat that walk around and meows until she hears the other cat meows back, then gos running to it!
I am one of the Papa Cats. They are one family and very bonded. Good video.
I think a cat's goal in life is to murder their owner. That's why they trip us when we walk, lol 😂
Please do a video on cat snoring because its hilarious
My cat brought me a moth yesterday. She has also brought me two lizards, one didn't survive the trip upstairs, the second one got away, and it was in my house for a day before she found it the next day, and i had to catch it and take it far away outside.
MOL (meow out loud)!
Yes!
My cats Always sleep with me!😊❤
I love my humans. I see them as my family for sure.
My cat head buts me around 4am when he wants feeding and being let out!
My cat Kiara is my kitty daughter and every sign in this video 100% true.
My cat and i love to slow blink at each other
One of my cats expects that I 'get da belly' when he exposes it to me. I think his feelings would be very hurt if I did not. Pretty sure he ❤ me.
Yes.4 of them always sleep in my room. The other one stays in my room and sits on the windows. All 5 like to sits on my windows.
You left out Morris the cat from Purina. He was in every commercial of 9 lives all throughout the 70's and 80's. He was the most famous.
My cat, Black Friday, does, or has done all 12 of those "considers you are family signs" at one time or another..............but since he doesnt go outside any more, i dont get live rabbits, frogs, or any other kinds of "gifts".
Cats are a blast!
Lol my kitty jumps on my chest or steps on my shoulder then smacks me in the face when she wants me to play 😂
Majestica is beautiful
Cats Meow When They Are Less Than A Day Old
Communicating With Mamma Cat
My cat does several of these things with me. Demands attention and exfoliates me each night after he's done with his zoomies, which I fondly refer to as the trampling phase of the evening. Nothing says Wake up now!!" like being run over at 3 am! And then comes the exfoliation....
where do you get all the kitties that you showcase in your videos?
1:16 Kitty Loaf!
Our cat is very vocal. She meows to boy my wife and I. When I pay attention to her if I quit too soon, she's sure to let me know it.
My cat is headbutting me as I watch this :)
It appears my neighbours' cat sees me as his family 😂
Is the submission for the cat of the week every Saturday?
2:55 But there are certainly exceptions. Almost every cat I've known, and all I've owned, love to have their tummy rubbed as part of full massage and one I have now will even flop over in front of me FOR a belly rub!
My 2 cats 🐈 does these
I still remember when my ex and I came back from the mall and her cat jumped up on the fence before telling us off.
My neighbours cat has adopted me comes and sits on me at evry oppertunity
My cat has a way of waking me.. She will rake my chin, with her claws.. That and a pronounced purring, does get me up..
Try choosing a non-scented lotion instead. It's better for your skin too.
gf's cat used not to sleep around me, it slept ON me xD
I just realized that my cat loves to get attention from me! Lol lol lol😂😂😂
