I wanted a chef knife that works as a multi-tool in the kitchen because looking after the collection of knives is a difficult task for me. I like that it is very sharp, cuts vegetables, great chopping. and cuts meat with a breeze. Happy to purchase it from Almazan Knives.
Hi sir wow thats amazing job that you👍👌have made there i like the ida of the back pin thats nice touch over all i lv it my friend 100%hard work ther you carry on like that my friend you will go far sir👏👏👏frome england🌟👏👏👏👏👍👌
the end cap is very nice. I've seen how they take apart samurai katanas and been thinking there could be a suitable structure for knifes too. Great job.
Pretty neat. When I use old files to make knives, I make sure to grind off all of the teeth. Failure to do so results in little cold shuts forged into the blade. That what those diagonal lines are, on one side of an otherwise beautiful blade. Those are stress risers which can cause the blade to snap, usually at the worst possible time. I would not carry this knife into any situation where I would have to depend on it for my survival. A beautiful knife, a great sheath. It would make an awesome camp knife.
Even though it just exceeds the 1:1 handle-to-blade ratio, I feel that it is too light and thin to be considered a forward-heavy chopping blade like a leuku. I only called this one a puukko because the way it performs and how it is balanced. The blade is more tanto-shaped, but I was aiming for a puukko look. I could call it a "tanto-style bladed scandi ground puukko/leuku take-apart knife," but that is really a mouthful. Personally, I don't really get too caught up with classifying blades because the inspiration for my knives come from so many sources, making it impossible to classify it as a pure form of a traditional knife.
Super nice knife! Do you build knives other people suggest? If so, a "Chute Knife" and a Knife with a Wharncliff Blade. Also, do you take orders yet? I cannot find a internet page for you. Thanks for your video(s).
Wonderful craftsmanship & artistry, all with hand tools. You obviously love the craft & put your heart into a piece like this. Thank you for showing us all the time effort, & techniques that went into this.
The lighting, the camera angles, and the background ambiance with the storm and rain make me feel like I am watching a scary movie. I felt myself getting tense as I watched haha. And this is in no way a criticism, it was like watching a different genera of knife making. Like a monster or killer was about to pop up at some point in the build. All in all, awesome video and awesome knife!
Substantially good work, without useless fancy glamour. If I'm obliged to find some drawbacks? well, I wouldn't use diamond whetstones. But still ... a knife to be proud of.
I was wondering what type of file you were using on the wood there? I've never seen anything like it! It looks like it work's awesome! Do you know the name of the type of file it is? I hope you respond cause I'm very interested and I've looked it up and can't find it anywhere!
Puukko is simply a knife. That is a knife. Now if you refer to the length of the traditional small finnish knife it is said to the same as one's palm width. But I have seen those 12 cm long. I have never seen a guy with a 12 cm wide palm.
Yes he added a slight convex micro bevel. A lot of old finnish knives DO have one. It is almost unavoidable on an old blade. Also the most often change I have seen is adding convex to the edge to prevent edge rolling. AND I am a blacksmith. Made 50 plus such blades. People prefer stronger edge/slight convexing. There IS NO CLEAR DEFINITION OF "PUUKKO"

I can't even begin to express how amazed I am with such brilliance.
That is an absolutely beautiful take down knife. I love it! 👍🏾👍🏾💃🏾
A person with good hand skills is happy 👍👍👍👍
Beautiful work, great video! It's the first time I see that kind of knife

i like - love the way you locked the blade into the handle - a elegant solution
Enjoyed that.
Beautiful work. Very well done. Also oddly calming. New Sub. 👍
I wouldn't call that a puuko, but it sure is a nice knife with a really cool design. I wonder... how much it would cost to make a similar knife?
I have an Etsy shop where you can place a custom order: www.etsy.com/shop/RougemontForge
*NICE CROSS TECNOLOGY BETUING A JAPANESE SWORD AND A FINNISH KNIFE GREAT WORKMANSHIP BEAUTYFUL*

What is the point of putting water on the anvil? Never seen anybody else do that
second time i have watched this still awesome
Coming to you from the Mojave Desert, the knife was beautiful, but the rain was delicious!! :)) Thank you for showing us such beauty.
Вы , наверное, живёте в Канаде, или в США. Пукко таким небывает, по размеру - это леуко, а по наклону рукояти - американский, либо канадский нож.
You are restricted because of workshop equipments but you and your work is excellent. Congratulations
Bravo for this work
YES!!! Forge to shape, reduce stock removal and let the hammer do the work. Made me real happy to hear this and see it.
Шикарнейший нож!
A puukko too big is a leuku, camping tool of the Saami.

It is not the size, usualy puukko is handel and blade ratio, but its more like blade shape and angle.
Yes sir, that s a real handmade knife, no fancy machines, that s what l call a Craftsman or a blacksmith
Good man, but can you see the realy PUUKO?
I was gonna say that this is not a pukko but than i saw how many people alrededy comented it xd
Beautiful work, thanks for sharing.
Super nice knife!

Thanks for your video(s).
Too dang cool man. Some of your projects are really inspiring me over here....
Absolute brilliance, that is how blades meant to used should be made. Old school and properly finished, like a good riding horse.
Is the knife for sale sir??
Loved the project! Serious skills. Really like the "simplicity and elegance" of the design..
Două lucruri mi-au plăcut foarte mult : Sunetul ploii și tehnica de lucru !
Indeed beautiful
Job well done. Beautiful knife !
beautiful
You don't cut on the back stroke with a file, you flatten the teeth.
There are two way files
Fantástica!!!
Nice 👌👌
Fantastic work! I subbed!
Really great content! Been enjoying watching your projects grow with your talent. Keep it up!
That's a real knife! Not the dumb 4 inchers bushcrafters promote
this is a really wonderful knife, congrats
Оличное видео
Лютый нож,молодец.
Do you sell those?
Wonderful craftsmanship & artistry, all with hand tools. You obviously love the craft & put your heart into a piece like this. Thank you for showing us all the time effort, & techniques that went into this.
Very Impressive! I don't have the patience you do... no power tools?... KUDOS to you!

I'm still trying to figure out why this is my most popular video, and this may be one of the reasons. Thanks for the feedback!
Beautiful work. Do you sell this, is it possible to order one?
It is possible to order knives through Etsy, that's the easiest way. www.etsy.com/shop/RougemontForge?ref=seller-platform-mcnav

nice
Substantially good work, without useless fancy glamour. If I'm obliged to find some drawbacks? well, I wouldn't use diamond whetstones. But still ... a knife to be proud of.
That looks like a lot of hard work .but I know it will look great .hard work pays off.
Do we forge to finish bevels ,message received. An by the way nice pig-sticker.
Great work for beautiful result. But the sneaky cuts you get from the blade just forward of the hilt are the worst.
puuko means knife . it is a large puuko . very impressive knife .

It is called a saw rasp. Shinto makes them.
Buen trabajo
Very beautiful piece of craft made from scratch with simple tools.
Nice knife, idea for ya...bluing the bolster & pommel fittings
I love the hammered finish on the bolsters, lots of other neat ideas too.
Nicely done, nice finish, the hamon stands up in the light, well done even if you did not have any power tools.
*YOU GET A SUBSCRIBER AND THANKS FOR SHARING*
It is a puukko. A beautiful, revised, and HUGE puukko knife.
If the wooden handle shrinks won't that loosen the blade?
Красава!
Amazing love your content sir you're a master at a very young age drive-on brother
The "blade tongs" you were using. Did u make or buy them? I really would like to get a pair. Beautiful knife also!! 🍀⚒🍀
I made them, here is a video of it: ruclips.net/video/8_U68efpRmE/видео.html

Did i see several of cracks in the blade??
Two pieces of fine art. The knife and the film. Loved the rains.

Don't lose that bolt.

Krasimir Ivanov. That's not a puukko because he made secondary bevel.
Krasimir Ivanov. I know what is puukko because I live in Finland

Krasimir Ivanov puukko dosen't mean a knife
you demonstrate great skills -great job!
who'll stop the rain ?
What dose wetting the hammer do
Just asking
Steam helps remove scale
@@cyruswoolard3737 thank you
Great video
Where's the JoJo comments!?!
E to je pravi nož!!!svaka čast.
sturdy good work
Very nice!!
Pretty piece. But use some gloves.
Beautiful knife, true craftsman
Hey pretty impressive! Beautiful work!
Full hand work.....nice...
wonderful !!!!!!
i see you use a japoneze forging style but what is the porpose for using wet Hammer?
The pressure from the hot steel squeezing the water creates a steam explosion that blows the scale off of the steel.
It also looks really cool on camera
Good work
Why do you pour water on your anvil?
Help blast off the scale..and for heat retention..help you forge longer
Well done. Thumb's up!
