Julie Christie and I mistook her for a young Brigitte Bardot! Oh for goodness sakes! That was so wrong! Sorry Julie! Had to look up Connie Chan. Never heard of her.
Knew all the faces but one, but it took a while for the names to follow. And 99 was recognised instantly but I couldn’t remember her surname. 31 right and embarrassed to say I got Nina Simone wrong, I even had several of her records :(

Nina Simone? Looked her up. Interesting who she was. Marianne Faithfull. Why on earth did I mistake her for Twiggy. I had to look her up. Jean Shrimpton. Had to look her up. James Brown! I mistook him for Little Richard! Shame on me! I got Jack Lemmon but forgot he had double m's. Sure his spirit would forgive my misspelling his last name.
Marianne Faithful was famous for her sexual encounter with Mick Jagger and later went on to a musical career with often profane lyrics, but also most famous for hitting the charts with "As Tears Go By". Connie Chan, Chinese actress ( I'd never heard of her either). Same with Wilma Rudolph, but she was an olympic sprinter who won a few gold medals. Jean Shrimpton was an English model at the same time as "Twiggy" was. Nina Simone was a VERY famous American Blues/ Soul/ Jazz singer and songwriter. Most famously for "My Baby Just Cares For Me" George Best was a football (soccer) player for Manchester United and Northern Ireland.
Look up This Little Bird and also her later Broken English album. That has the naughty song Ivor alludes to. Her career was not often profane tho. She battled drug addiction and was homeless for a couple of years. Then made her comeback. Marianne is quite a fascinating lady and you can read about her in her autobiographies
I see other comments where they knew more of the men than the women. That is true for me too. I wonder why that is so? For me I think it was their background and why they were famous. Not because they are women.

I got 100% of the males , missed most of the females.
32 out of 40. But I was around in the 60s. Thanks Michael ❤

Excellent fun. Missed 5. SHould have only missed 3... but my mind is... what was I saying?
The 15 I got wrong were mostly women but also sports people. I was more into movies back then. Now I'm just old.
I got 31. I mostly missed women as well. A couple men too. Who is George Best?
