so the "shadow realm" talent can the person u take there still heal there team? I mean 7 sec kidney shot into 6 secs shadow realm while ur partner is hitting on a dps :S is a long time :D and the same for dps peel, I assume if someone is nuking ur healer u can peel them away for 7 +6 seconds. that sounds epic :D

I had some Q's on playing sub (talents) in legion if you had a spare moment? - is DFA worth it for a sub rogue, or should i go master of shadows for the energy regen for more dance/shadowstrike attacks? Also - ive been using Nightstalker since seeing ur vid but i cant tell if its helping me do better than when i was using subterfuge. Has your opinion on one or the other changed since july? Finally if you could explain to me the "Long Dance" rotation or gimmie a tidbit so I can understand what I'm supposed 2 be doing to be pumping out damage but also constantly buffing my dance cooldown? seems like a really cool talent/honor talent build and im going to try it when im max'd. thank you again for the help :)
Long Dance is most consistent. DFA is useless outside of World PvP and Duels. Master of Shadows is always best in Bgs and 3v3. I think Subterfuge is > Nightstalker. More up time in Dance means more shadows caress and potential shadow strikes. Long Dance rotation generally consists of this Cheap Shot-> Shadow Strike -> Eviscerate (5 or 6) Then Shadow Strike, Hold GCD to Cheap Shot with NO GAPS then Evsicerate-> Cheap Shot The key is 5 or 6 point Eviscerates and not using Shadow Strike or Cheap Shot to get from 5 to 6. It starves you and breaks up your rotation.
mostly the Shadowy Duel is for BGs like kill the orb carrier really quick if he's heavily guarded, or the EFC in there base heavily guarded. The Healer to disconnect him from his team from healing.
when you're showing the open at the end what was the skill you used after the 1st cheap show how doers one get to full combo points, sorry just got back into wow :)
Have you considered Subterfuge over Nighstalker for the Long Dance build? 12% damage is nice, but 20% movement speed is wasted. Subterfuge offers even more Shadowstrikes, more uptime on Soothing Darkness and more uptime on Prey on the Weak. I obviously don't have proof, but to me it seems/feels like more damage AND more survivability. I'm referring to live servers though, which obviously doesn't have access to Phantom Assassin
I was wondering about this same thing. I guess I'll just have to try both. It's a tough one. You make a really good point on soothing darkness. That's an extra 6% health rejuvenation when shadow dance is up. If I'm correct that is.

For the opener you say cheap shot(x2 I guess), but without deep stratagem I guess it would be cheap shot -> shadow strike? Also, is it better to do x2 shadow strike -> eviscerate or x3 SS -> eviscerate (again without deep stratagem)?

Hard to say atm. Outlaw hasn't been PvP tuned and seems to do most damage and have most cc. Once balanced, sub, Mut and law will be in line and depending on your play style. Lots of damage? Mutilate. Lots of cc? Outlaw Mix of both? Subtlety

I'd like to try my hand at a Sub leveling, and a Sub/Assa at max, but some are saying Outlaw is the way to go for leveling. If you've got the time, I'd like to hear your opinion on the matter.
Question: Why Nightstalker over Subterfuge in the "Long Dance"-build? Without having a chance to try out Honour-talents of my own, I would assume yet higher dance uptime to still be beneficial. Do you manage to have high enough uptime anyway? And then again the +damage% is really nice. I would miss CSing on two targets in the opener in BGs though.
The 8 second Danage is alright, but you run out of energy and get less use of Master of Shadows from entering Stealth. Though it is a viable option for sure. I have actually opted for Subterfuge and Deeper Stratagem lately as I found out something very interesting about the talent just last night. Deeper Stratagem has a 100% proc for Relentless strikes on 5 combo points, but a 20% chance for a second Relentless Strikes proc on 6 Combo Points...
Can you talk about deciding for/against Gloomblade? Gloomblade on average does x2 more damage than backstabbing and has no facing effect on damage. How did you transition from having shadow dance page your bar to stealth bar, and now it does not? I'm having the hardest time with it, and actually submitted a bug ticket thinking it was broken in the patch. I've had the same keying for sap and cheap shot for 12 years... any advice? Especially frustrating for backstab/shadow strike as my main attack for any character is always "F"

Wait a second, can someone explain me why at 18:30 he does Cheap Shot and Shadowstrike and doesnt use a single bit of his energy???? I have gone through all talents and abilities and cant figure out why he doesnt use up energy. I cant do that opener as quick as him because I dont have enough energy when I have to DFA

I know it's a sort of generic question and the game's more geared around 110 stuff including the artifacts ( which obviously aren't out yet ), but my damage feels -really- low as Sub. We're talking like 20-30k evis crits. I'm in mostly 700/710 pvp gear ( so the 730/40 stuff ). Mastery still a good stat to work with?

3v3 arena with a affliction warlock or something. Maybe even a monk with touch of death. DoT target up and use Shadowy duel to almost guaranteed a 1v1 victory. Maybe?

I'm trying to go sub from assassin, now what do you do once you used all your Shadow dance the only thing left is back stab, as a energy dumper.
Versatility is best stat for pve. PvP stats are normallized.

That has been fixed to 3% in PvE / World PvP. And 1% in arenas and BGs.

It's an intended, very stupid, yet intended change.
maybe try doublebinds with [stealth] macros. but i dont like the change either
this should work, either that or macro a skill bar swap into shadow dance, but u'll have to find a decent place to macro the swap back to main bar.

Artifact trait on weapon has a chance to refund energy.
Oh.. So we will have to wait until Legion for this to work perfectly...
Artifact gives me a chance to refund energy (15 energy) and when I use Nightblade it refunds 40 Energy
Also, Goremaw's Bite refunds energy.

We're talking like 20-30k evis crits. I'm in mostly 700/710 pvp gear ( so the 730/40 stuff ). Mastery still a good stat to work with?

Assasination or Subtlety and why? :)
Depends what you like. Assassination has lots of damage, little cc and low mobility.
Subtlety has high mobility medium CC and medium damage

Well i like both, but i think mobility / cc is crucial to pvp. Subtlety has nice burst damage right?

3v3 arena with a affliction warlock or something. Maybe even a monk with touch of death. DoT target up and use Shadowy duel to almost guaranteed a 1v1 victory. Maybe?
