I've recently had a hyperfixation on finding, collecting, and classifying rocks. I found a medium sized one on the side of a creek that seemed to have strange markings, so I got a small flathead screwdriver and a rubber hammer and carefully cracked it in half to see what was inside. There was a large, nearly perfect fossil of an ammonite! The details were extraordinary!

it took a second watch to see the faint discoloration of the legs, the hole from claw and the leg sticking out really sold me on the idea that "yup, thats deffo a crab"
anyway, its really cool on how you're able to tell whether a rock has a fossil or not, thats for the information man! 😁👍

Your accent reminds me so much of my Afrikaans friend, and it's really nice! I'm new to the channel so I'm gonna throw out a guess and say you're from New Zealand based on that. I notice they sound more like South Africans than Australians do but my buddy lives in Perth now and said people just assume he's lived there his whole life until he starts speaking Afrikaans 🤣
