    I just bought this speaker and had it for only 5 months and it would not charge. I bought it for my daughter because her sister had one and she loved it. Both speakers didn’t charge right. They would blink white and red for days and never charged. After watching this video I wanted to throw it away and just say forget it. But instead I used my husband’s Galaxy s23 phone charger and it charged it so fast. So my take on it is try a stronger charger before doing all that other stuff. Obviously JBL didn’t make their charges strong enough to charge their own speakers 🤦🏽‍♀️ thank you for this video ❤️

    • @hifiaudios8101
      @hifiaudios8101  Год назад +1

      Hello! For your JBL Charge 5, you'd ideally need a charger with an output of 5V/2.3A. That means you'll need about 11.5 watts. Remember, using a charger with higher watts won't speed up the charging process. Stick to the recommended specs for the best results!

      if your JBL Charge 5 charges but the battery level doesn’t go up, it might be the battery itself having issues. Maybe try a different cable and adapter too, just to rule those out. If it’s still not working, it could be time to check in with customer support.

    How do you fix the issue of the charging light blinking red when put to charge?

    • @hifiaudios8101
      @hifiaudios8101  17 дней назад

      If your JBL Charge 5 has a blinking red light while charging, it usually means there’s a battery or charging issue. First, try a different cable and wall charger to make sure it’s not a simple power supply problem. If that doesn’t fix it, letting the speaker’s battery completely drain and then charging it uninterrupted might help. If it’s still blinking red after trying these steps, it could be a bigger battery issue and might need professional repair.

    • @hifiaudios8101
      @hifiaudios8101  17 дней назад +1

      Seems like your JBL Xtreme 3 is having a bit of a glitch. When it's blinking like that and won't charge or turn on, it might be stuck in a boot loop. Try this: let it run out of battery completely until it stops blinking. Then, charge it without turning it on for a few hours. If it still acts up after charging, you might need to look into getting it serviced or checking if it's still under warranty.

      your JBL Charge 5 might be having some issues. Try resetting the speaker to factory settings. To do this:
      1. Power on the Charge 5
      2. Press and hold the "Volume+" and "Bluetooth" buttons simultaneously for about 10 seconds. The speaker should turn off by itself.
      3. Power it back on and test it again.
      If that doesn't work, it could be a software or hardware issue. In that case, you might want to reach out to JBL's customer support. Hope this helps! 👍

    Hello, I’ve noticed that my charge 5 will only charge when I use the JBL charger it came with. When I use a different USB c it blinks like it’s charging but never fills. I’ve even tried a Nintendo switch charger. I lost my JBL charger so I need to find another cord. Customer service seems to think any charger should due. This is not my experience. Any thoughts as to why this would be?

    • @hifiaudios8101
      @hifiaudios8101  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hey there! So, it sounds like your Charge 5 is pretty picky with chargers. It's kinda weird cuz usually, any USB-C should work. But, maybe it needs a certain power output that only the JBL one can give. Some chargers, like the one for the Switch, might not hit the right specs. I'd say, check the power output on the original JBL charger if you can find that info, and look for a third-party charger that matches those specs. Hope this helps and you find a charger that works! 👍

    I actually have a JBL FLIP5 but found this instead.
    It recently died while I was listening to music on it. I plugged it in and turned it on. It played a song for like 10 - 30 seconds and turned off again. I turned it on and tried again, same results.
    I checked and swapped chargers, my phone works on both of them. When I proceeded to plug it back in, the charge light NO LONGER comes on! What does THIS mean?

    • @hifiaudios8101
      @hifiaudios8101  2 месяца назад +1

      Since you’ve already tried swapping the chargers and your phone charges fine with them, it looks like the issue might be with your Flip5 itself. If the charge light isn't coming on anymore, there could be something up with the battery or the charging port.
      You might want to try a hard reset on your speaker. If that doesn’t fix it, it could be time to reach out to JBL customer service or check if it's still under warranty

      Have you tried holding down the power button for a bit longer? If that doesn't work, it might be worth checking if the speaker needs a good charge. Fingers crossed it turns back on soon!

      Bummer, sorry to hear you're facing the same issue! If the blinking pattern is identical, it might be a common problem. Have you tried using a different charging cable and adapter? If that doesn't work, contacting JBL support might be your next best step. Good luck! 👍

      Oh no, sounds like a real bummer with your JBL Charge 5 not charging! 😕 Have you tried using a different cable or adapter? Sometimes, the simplest things like a bad cable can be the culprit. Also, giving the charging port a quick check for any lint or debris could help. If it's still being stubborn, it might need a closer look by a pro. Hope it gets back to jamming soon!

      Hey! About using a 45 watt Samsung charger for your JBL Charge 5, it should be okay. Just make sure the output matches what your JBL needs. Don't wanna fry it with too much power, right?

      a burnt-out charging point? 😂 That's some tough luck right there! Sounds like your JBL Charge 5 had a bit too much excitement. If it's really toasted, might be time to look into a repair or see if warranty can cover it. In the meantime, maybe keep it away from any more adventures.

    Get to the damn point we know the fucking cable works

      If you're sure the cable's fine, you might want to check the charging port on the speaker for any dust or debris. If everything looks clean and it still won't charge, it could be an issue with the battery or internal hardware. Maybe try a reset if you haven't already?

    Mine charge but the battery indicator light isn't displaying anymore

    • @hifiaudios8101
      @hifiaudios8101  Год назад

      your battery indicator light may have a slight issue. Try resetting your JBL Charge 5 to factory settings - hold down the "Volume +" and "Bluetooth" buttons together until it turns off. After that, turn it back on and check if the light's back. If it's still not working, it may be a hardware issue, and reaching out to JBL's customer service could be your best next step. Hope this helps!
