- Hey again! Sorry for the delay, I tried to get everything out as soon as possible, but some other side things got in the way.
This video is a direct sequel to SMX Vs Sans, my half hour animation that somehow had its OST video become more popular than the animation itself.

If you haven't watched Prologue A, I suggest you do continuity and stuffs. • The Last Run - Prologu...
Like I said in Prologue A, you don't have to watch this prologue in order to get the backstory for The Last Run when it fully comes out, as I'm probably going to include this in the full movie. But I suggest you do, it took me a while to make this, a lot longer than before.
This Prologue covers SMX's story, if you're curious to know what happens to LR!Sans watch Prologue A.
One of the biggest issues I wanted to address with this was that to people that had no context of SMX's character, and could not relate to him as a protagonist. I tried to go over most of it in this prologue but judging by how long this part is... it's a lot.
Sorry, I don't have much restraint when it comes to video lengths, :P
Speaking of which, if you're curious about exploring more of SMX's character, you can check out his backstory (for this universe) here! Careful though, it's old animation, therefore very cringe.

Also, I know Raymond and Mei can be perceived as bad people in this story, but please do keep in mind that this is all a fictional story, and I wrote it for dramatic effect.
In any case, I'm very excited to start animating more action at the main animation, but I'm probably going to take a break before I jump back into this project, since it has huge expectations and it's been a little stressful.
This means that I may have to push back the estimated release date of the final video, which sucks, but please understand that the original took me practically 6 months to make in itself. I have a lot of big things coming up so I'm trying to balance it all out.

Okay, so let me get this straight, in SMX's prologue, because of the power he has gained, he has no emotion which makes him ironically feel...well have emotion in a certain way, from there he meets those two again, and what i'm curious of, does this mean SMX lost all his power overpowered moveset? If that's the case, I like that idea. Being overpowered impacts the mental brain, impacts how you react in the world, simply gaining strength is what makes you strong, not getting it, like SMX. This is a really good step....that or I could be wrong in this, either or. SMX buddy, amazing job on the animation. I can see it improving so much since what you did a few months ago with that fight.
This was simply amazing. I can tell the people from the Dusttrust community are gonna be amazed by this, wonder if Nickolas will watch it actually... either way, The story looks pretty good. Realizing that a combination of Dust and Last Breath was made kinda reminded me how good this works, Last Genocide was a good game ngl. Keep this up, you're doing so good!

SMX you truly are going all out with this one, I didn't expect how good it would be, the tone of the story's seriousness was done quite well if you ask me, added by the animation quality, interactions, expressions, the music, everything about it! You outdid yourself far more than you've outdone yourself before!
I loved how you actually made SMX (the character) more just than an apathetic person, the apathetic personality was quite a good turn from the SMX who was prior to your animation improvement and story quality improvement, ever since the new SMX appeared, how he acted seemed to signify that a lot of things happened towards him. At first I thought it was just that he practiced apathy because he wanted to not mess up too much with his actions driven by emotion just as given how realistic it was for someone who couldn't control their emotions to mess up often, SMX wouldn't want it that way with how his life had been.
But nope, you actually made it more interesting despite the use of the generic concept of "I am a demon, I give you power, but you shall have no emotions or something" trope. What I also really appreciated was how it really did feel like SMX gained powers from demons inhabiting his very being, they don't feel like Stands anymore, they felt like ACTUAL demons and at the same time, characters. Given by Jirimu's blunt and harsh attitude including how he interacted with SMX, and their history in actuality. I kind of thought it would be Kaibutsu as the one who would lead on as THE DEMON of the conversation, but Jirimu does fit better from the fact that he gives the sense of superior being. Especially within the current scene.
Jeez man, all this lore is great and again, you've gone too far in a good way. Anyway, I think that's enough rambling from my comment, until then.
This hits hard in every different way.

Both of their stories are hell in a sense.
SMX's hell is a mental one. He can't state how he feels about anything, can only remain neutral, and only watch as this causes detachment.
SMX(Sans/Old)'s hell is a literal one. Stuck in an endless loop of fights that he can't win against an opponent who can't lose. Eventually driving him to madness over gaining enough power to end his nightmare.
Both of them want the same thing, but are handling them in very, VERY different ways.
...This could genuinely be a movie and I wouldn't be disappointed, dear god.

I always see the prologue premieres in my recommended and I'm like, "Damn, that was fast."
Also, I like how at the start there's a nod to how people don't like how OP smx is, which I personally don't care about, it's your OC, do what you want, but I think it's cool that you still tied it in there. Good work on the animation, and I look forward to the full thing! Until next time.

Tbh I know everyone wanted last breath, but if sans took a darker path like dusttale I feel like that could have drawn a more similar line between smx and sans, and tbh I feel like overcoming something mentally as well as physically, would make a good fight, but last breath still can do that well, and this still is being built up great

Heh, it would be funny if smx just takes away his powers and becomes a human again and LRsans is grinding to become overlypowerfull but then realizes that because of smx and his want to stop being powerful now LRsans thinks its all worth nothing and gives his life up, and after killing LRsans smx awakens his demons again somehow by the power of L.O.V.E

I've got a couple opinions to voice.
Okay, first of all. These visuals man, this is one of the best cinematics I've seen from a Stick Nodes animation. The amount of sheer work and effort put into every shot is crazy. Just the technical issues and time u must've put up with just to get this out, I hold so much respect for that. And the fact that this is just a part of the Prologue before the main act has me hella pumped for the main event. I can't even express how impressed I was watching this. Absolute eye candy, just awesome.
Secondly, I have so much to say about this script in general. I can recall myself, however long ago, watching the first part of this battle. Mind you, that animation deserves its own story, but just being so shocked at the amount of detail you put into making sure this script was golden, it's just inspiring. I also remember reading a post in your community tab about how you weren't happy with how SMX was way too shady and I think op as well. I see where you come from and I hold nothing against it, but I'd also like to straight up applause you for being able to take SMX and creating a certain finisher to his character, and just making him that much more likeable. Like, this I just thought to myself how SMX is now, it saddens me to have to say farewell to this character when I know he can be so much more, but at the same time so pleased with the ending he was given. The way you scripted this animation as well, it's just amazing how much of a roller coaster watching this is. From the characters, to scenes, to animation scripting, I hands down give it a solid 10/10. Your one of the only people I know to make a character with a demon so loveable and uniqe. I seriously cannot wait for what's next.

it's true but in all fairness a lot of people were upset that sans is actually destined to lose in normal Undertale, which is part of why we got so many overpowered sans AUs to come out, and of all the things people wanted to see sans lose to it wasn't some dude's edgy OC that the viewers had no knowledge of. I'm not saying they're correct or agreeing with them at all I'm just explaining the thought process behind it

Seriously I don't know what to say this is definitely better then glitchtale in the undertale fandom.
But in the stick animations this is... Advance almost unbelievable. I seriously never seen an stick animation that keeps it's quality from the beginning towards the end.

I would have to say this animation isn't as good as Glitchtale's newer episodes, and the story isn't quite there yet. (Though i think last run totally has the potential to change my mind.)
To each their own though, it's just our opinions at the end of the day and its perfectly fine if you believe this is better.

HOLY FREAKING CRAP. This hits like a truck! We were so used to seeing sans struggling a lot both in undertale and the main huge animation, but to many people watch and truly understood what happened with smx. I did watch it but dang I didn't realize how much this stuff would affect a person. You capture the emotions and the music you use to amplify that feeling was outstanding! Amazing animation! As always, you outdid yourself. Keep up the great work!

I can see while watching the animation that both SMX (finally got his real name, dang) and Jirimu is correct in their own way, without thinking about why the other is correct too. I'm thinking that if Jirimu is a demon he's probably been here for a long time, which typically affects their emotions to the point where they use only logic without caring or thinking about what anyone else involved is feeling. That or he doesn't have his emotions either, but judging by how he snaps at SMX that's a bit of a stretch.
I can't exactly find a way to explain SMX's reasoning, but I'll say that a lot of people wouldn't trade their own emotions for things, even if that means they'll die soon. And SMX is basically having an existential crisis wondering if he did the right thing by living that way.
I wouldn't say that Heckray and Mei were "bad" characters either, but more that one of them doesn't want to sugarcoat things and the other doesn't understand why he's acting that way like we do. And I guess you wouldn't show Hanae and only mention her, because I'm sure you said that she's only a part of Mei's lore now (if the idea of Hanae as a whole isn't scrapped)...
The rewinding part goes a long way back, apparently. So I guess that means he's creating a new self and 'fixing' the problem by most likely rewriting his own backstory. Would that break the entire timeline/universe? Or would it leave itself in place until it disappears like Sans!SMX does?
It reminds me of Doctor who, this entire thing- whoops. It's good though. I enjoy watching both.
I'd also like to say I like the dialogue and slow bits more than the action. Action is amazing itself, but really voicing a character is something I (personally) like to do. Also nice writing and all with it. Good work 👍
dude imagine if this had voice acting, like s3 glitchtale? that would be kind of epic, but rn the viewers can "voice act" the characters themselves (in their head)

Damn, both Sans and your OC are going through a bad time, one in a JoJo style death loop for a sale of a rematch, one is going through a life crisis. Either way, I can tell they are gonna be fighting for their lives a second time.

I’ve learned that as long as the enemies are as powerful as the OC, you can make your OC as powerful as you want. The catch is you might have to nerf them or make an entirely different OC if you are going to make them fight other OCs.

Oh boy oh boy, another pologue down, and I'm waiting for them to throw fisticuffs. Great job man, for a guy who exposed his living space (yes the intro says it all you can't fool me), and SOMEHOW makes stuff like Virulence and Enigmatic Tears by HIMSELF... I feel pretty proud, but mostly the feeling to board the second Hype Train.
Also when are you doing Enigmatic Tears extended? Felt the track was always too short.

1:26 the bones are purple the bones of Sans in the fight weren’t and dust sans has purple bones in a poll people voted for him to have the powers of other monsters and in the first phase potential music it was similar to DUSTtrust so I assume there’s gonna be a dust sans.
