It’s obvious Ariana already has learned so much from having such independence. Family will always be so important, but you grow more in every way from having that kind of distance sometimes. Hope college continues to go well! Enjoy your semester break!
Going away for college was what I needed to grow and mature and navigate life on my own while looking out for my own best interests. It sounds like Ariana needed the same thing and it shows by how mature she was on this video! Congrats Ariana! You have much to be proud of!
I live in Kennesaw, GA now but I've lived in Atlanta for a while. Every time I pass by the SCAD building near the interstate, or come across one of her videos,I say a little prayer for Ariana. Love you guys so much! ❤️
Great video - Ariana was so thoughtful and honest in expressing her answers to these questions 👏🏻 I feel that she has really come into her own and matured over the past weeks she has been in school ‼️ It is wonderful to hear how well she has adjusted to living alone in a city far from home while going to college and making new friends and a life for herself in Georgia ❤ I hope she is proud of herself and is successful and happy in whichever career she chooses🙏 It is so important to be happy in a career that you enjoy and are interested and fulfilled in ‼️🙏🤩🤞❤️
I was once told "remember the WHY and the HOW becomes easier". We all have to face change and growth. I can already see a lot of growth in you Ariana. Good luck with the rest. ❤
Well actually she only shared with Hannah before she went to college and before that here and Jamie had a apartment together and before that she had her own room
Ariana has matured and become much more focused. She talks so well and seems much more grounded. It’s so obvious she is at the place in her life where she is meant to be right now. Congratulations, your family must be so proud of you!
Wow! Just Wow ❤ I feel like you have always been mature and wise beyond your years but the growth you show in this video just shows how amazing you are. I hope you have a lot of young people following you. You are such an amazing example for them.
Very good Ariana! There is a time for everything and concentrating on College right now is important, but that can't stop you from having a cuppa tea with friends you make along the way. Some will be forever and some not. The present time is most important and some decisions will carry on into your future. Have fun! Life is beautiful and precious, take care precious one, Ariana.
Have to say Ariana you gave good thoughtful answers to the questions, and been away at college appears to have made you more mature. Obviously you miss your family, but I love how determined you are to succeed, even staying there afterwards to better your career. Blessings.
Years ago I gave my parents a little plaque that said " The best thing you can give your children is roots and wings." That is what they gave me and what I gave to my children and I feel like that is what you are giving your children too. Hugs
I really enjoyed this interview with Ariana. She has matured. The school is a good fit. She is happy all around, except missing her favorite fast food places. I'd say cook healthy meals, Ariana and have left overs packed when ever you have cravings. You are a lovely person. Keep enjoying life in Atlanta.
Overly friendly people you don’t know in Atlanta is called Southern hospitality.😊 It’s in their up bringing. That’s how it is in the South. I love it.❤️
If you don’t think your kids are watching and learning, especially when it feels impossible, they 100% are. I would love to have seen Aaron’s face when he watched Ari talking about who inspires her… 💕 Crystal, you did a great job keeping your reactions and facial expressions in check. You must be spilling over with pride, and at the same time wanting to protecting her with the mamma bear bubble wrap
Ariana, I first off want to say that I am so incredibly proud of you! I know that this journey was not the easiest by any means! I’m sure there were some times where you wanted to just pack up & go home back to your comfort place, But you didn’t give up! You have kept going! And that takes some real strength! I recently this past April Moved from North Georgia area about an hour from Atlanta all the way to West Virginia. I left all of my family behind and what few friends I had at the time behind. And I will honestly say it was one of the hardest but also most exciting times of my life. Moving to a whole new state across the country is very stressful and scary. Especially when you have no one! And no one knows who you are. That for me was a challenge. I am so happy that you are making friends & enjoying school! You deserve this so much! This is your time to shine & thrive baby! You are going to go so far in life just keep your head up! You have so many of us on here that love you all & support all of y’all! 💕
Omg the social aspect in the south is SOOOO different from north! Everybody says hi to u and just start convos! I moved to Va from new england years ago and it took me a very long time to get used to the people being so friendly. I feel u Arianna lol
I use to have that sleep paralysis several times. I would wake up and just know someone was in the room but I couldn't move. I could see everything but couldn't move. After a few times I learned to make myself go back to sleep then I could wake up and move. It is so scary when it happens. I am glad you are having such a good time in college and just working toward the kind of life you want to have.
I’m from North Carolina, not to far from Georgia. I will say a lot of people from the south are very friendly. It’s just part of the culture down here! I’m so glad you are loving it though.
You are so mature for your age ! You are focused on your goal and you are going to be very successful . Congrats on everything you have accomplished sweetie. ❤ from Nova Scotia Canada 🇨🇦
Just a little advice, The college and the teachers are always going to tell you all the wonderful career things they will give you or will be available to you after you get your degree, make sure you actually talk to alumni, and not the ones that work there.. but out in real world and see how many are actually using that degree in the chosen field you want to go into. i had sleep paralysis once, i was fully awake and could not move at all, then it finally broke, it is a scary thing.
Crystal, your little girls are beautiful and really coming into themselves. Learning who they are, what they want to do. You've done so good Crystal and Erin. 🎉🎉🎉so happy for you Ariana. You remind me so much of my daughter ❤️ ive told you that before and shes 43 now and shes doing really well. Here and here husband are so happy ❤❤
I am a mum of 5 boys and my oldest who will be 23 in a few weeks moved away just after he turned 20. He moved about the same distance as Ariana did. We live on the south coast of NSW Australia and he moved to North QLD. About a 24 hr drive away 😢We are not in a position to have visited him yet but this will be his 4th time home ( he arrives in 3 days ) and he will be here for 3 weeks, not just a fleeting visit this time ❤❤ I miss him sooo much but as a parent I know he is building a successful career that makes me so proud of the man he is. I have hopes and dreams that he will come home one day but I know in reality, he has built himself a beautiful life where he is and he is loving it and as a Mum, that’s all I can hope for. I have been following you for a few years now and I always get up in the morning and watch the new videos ( as it’s posted here at about 2-3am ) have my coffee and smile. This helps me to have a good day. I tell my husband I feel like I know you and I’m just keeping up with my friends lives. Have the best time with your Family Ariana, you’re doing amazing living independently, you deserve the down time. Love your Aussie fan xoxo
the Divine 9 sorority/ fraternity dance you saw is called "strut". Look up the divine 9 and its history. Movies like "stomp the yard" has some truth into that culture
I had a period of frequent sleep paralysis when I was taking a semester in Germany during college. So weird and scary! I'm so glad it hasn't really been a thing for me since then... and I hope it never happens to you again, either!
Lmaooo!! Here in the south (I’m from New Orleans) we talk to every stranger … & we definitely can tell when someone isn’t from here 😂 … We will always ask how you are or say hello. To us it’s the polite thing to do . But we Definitely understand if you aren’t from the south. 💕🌹 also LOVE Atlanta… It’s my favorite weekend get away.
I can totally relate to the sleep thing that that you went through. I have experienced trauma in my past and i sleep with every door in my house shut and when the night i was so tired i just fell asleep with it open i went through the same thing it was almost like i was reliving the moment and I didn’t know how to get away or make it stop
Wow Ariana seems to have matured so much more since being away, She really seems happy, and has direction, Great job honey be proud of yourself and go for gold Love you guys HERVEY BAY QUEENSLAND AUSTRALIA
It's a Southern thing sweetie! I live in South Carolina and we speak to everyone. I've visited Atlanta a few times, it's great, but I don't think I'd want to live there. The Coke museum is great. You have to visit the aquarium, it's truly amazing. Please remember to be careful, always beware of your surroundings. So happy for you and so proud of you for doing this for "you".💜
In the south, they’re typically friendlier and more outgoing. It is not uncommon at all for someone you don’t know to carry on a conversation with someone they don’t know. I’m from IN and when I spent some time in AL, visiting some family, someone started talking to me in a store, as though we were long time friends or at least good acquaintances.
We were just in Atlanta for 4days and you guys definitely need to check out the Georgia Aquarium it is by far my favorite and plan to spend a good chunk of the day. They have an amazing Shark exhibit, penguin exhibit, a sea lion show, and a dolphin show.
Aye lil Ari! Miss ya girl! Loved this vlog. You know, i went through the same thing. (Sleep paralysis) it was so scary i know, ill never forget that. Im so proud 🎉of you my girl ❤😊❤ words cannot describe 💖 just at a loss for words right now I literally have watched you grow up as an adult right before my eyes 😊keep climbing! I am always here for you ❤️
I think graduation from Ottawa may have led to the same things that graduation from high school leads. So it makes sense it felt like high school. Glad you love your school!
yay a new video let’s go I was waiting for this one I get so excited for when you guys post can’t wait to officially meet Arwen she is the missing piece to her forever family and her Personality is so sweet and outgoing she gets excited about anything so glad that she has her forever family and she is loved and safe now super excited for her adoption I am going to cry when she gets adopted by her forever family and becomes officially a Pettit this year is going by so fast the new year will be here before we know it and we will get to see Arwen face and know what her name is really soon so excited so happy that Arianna is enjoying college so happy that she is home
I've experienced sleep paralysis once in my sleep once in my 20s. I saw a dark shadow but finally came out of it. It felt like forever but it was only 20 minutes. I was able to move my eyes from side to side but couldn't speak or move at all.
I live a twelve hour flight away from my family. What I find the hardest is the different time zones, it makes it near impossible to talk. Especially with my long college hours
I’ve had sleep paralysis numerous times and it’s very scary. You literally cannot move until finally you snap out of it. I hate my door open too. I always tell my son to make sure my door is closed after he comes in or out.
I just love Ariana she’s honest and I truly believe she is happy in Atlanta. Having a good family support system is key. Much love from Gainesville Florida ❤
OMG, I’ve had that where I’m awake and can hear things but can’t move or wake myself up. I never knew it had a name. It’s a really weird feeling. Hugs from Arkansas
Places to eat in ATL (college budget edition): Chick fil a Cook Out Olive Garden Sonic Wendy’s McDonald’s Taco Bell Panda Express Texas Roadhouse (THE BEST!) Etc. give some of those a try especially Texas Roadhouse the rolls are so so good 😊
Ariana you are a true role model for people your age. I’m so proud of you. I too have two bio and two adopted lol. I’m looking forward to eventually meeting your boyfriend and hearing how you met. ♥️🙏
I live in Kentucky. The talking to everybody is a southern thing. I grew up where you just talked to everyone. The traffic in Atlanta is terrible. Sometimes we go to Florida and we hate the traffic there.
The whole people talking in the elevator 😂😂😂 that’s southern hospitality. Born and raised in South Carolina. It never gets not weird. But so many people are kind.
I had sleep paralysis during my mid-late 20's. At one time, it kept happening night after night. initially, it felt like there was someone in the house. Each time, the presence felt closer to me. Finally, it felt like it touched me on my neck. I felt something like a bolt of electrically through my entire body.and my body was trembling. I was so shaken, I couldn't wait to tell my teacher's assistant, and then some of the children parents as they dropped their preschoolers off for the day. I've had sleep paralysis since, but never that intensely. I still feel that there was something or someone there. Maybe a loved one saying goodbye?
I’ve had sleep paralysis before and when it would happen I’d automatically start praying and INSTANTLY I’d wake up. Also…. As a mother of girls please take different routes home or to and from school. Don’t have the same routine so u won’t be followed. Living on your own, a young female please be careful 😢 now a days the world is so crazy.
Though Ariana hasn't experienced college life outer state for a long period yet, she seems to adapt rather well. I like her honest answers and candid explanations. Time will tell whether she stays happy with her choice all the four years. I am more surprised by Crystal's reactions, as if she projected her own emotions. A Q&A exchange between the older siblings would be very interesting also. Thank you for sharing and enjoy your togetherness. ~Give your loved ones wings to fly; roots to come back and reasons to stay~ Daïla Lama
Hey Ariana, Sleep paralysis happened to me a few times and it was always after I had a new baby and was super exhausted, so make sure to get your rest girl.
Glad you are enjoying your school . Southern Hospitality where everyone talks to everybody is a thing ingraned in us when we are little. You should do the zoo in Atlanta too because it is the last one with Pandas in the US
19:39 the scariest part, is that you’re often still partially sleeping. I will often see literal monsters in my bedroom. I’m really seeing my bedroom, but I’m frozen, paralyzed, in a half sleep half awake state.
Hello crazy pieces thank you so much for sharing this amazing video it was good to catch up with Ariana she is doing great I am so happy for her your family is truly amazing I always enjoy your videos and thank you for making my heart happy and full ❤❤❤❤

I think it is a good thing to go away for college, you figure out who you are and explore different things, and you can always come home to family.
Exactly
Great video - Ariana was so thoughtful and honest in expressing her answers to these questions 👏🏻 I feel that she has really come into her own and matured over the past weeks she has been in school ‼️ It is wonderful to hear how well she has adjusted to living alone in a city far from home while going to college and making new friends and a life for herself in Georgia ❤ I hope she is proud of herself and is successful and happy in whichever career she chooses🙏 It is so important to be happy in a career that you enjoy and are interested and fulfilled in ‼️🙏🤩🤞❤️

Love Ariana so much. She looks more independent & confident. Can’t wait to see what the future holds for her 🩷🩷🩷
I think Ariana is happier having a place of her own than sharing a cramped dorm room with 3 strangers .
Iam happy to see Arianna you look real pretty give me phone number or email also address because I love you as friend
Well actually she only shared with Hannah before she went to college and before that here and Jamie had a apartment together and before that she had her own room

Most beautiful interview. Arianna is getting so confident and knows what she's about.

Enjoyed the video! I can see how Ariana has matured just since the summer - college has been good for her!
Very good talk Ariana you stated the best facts that could help others starting college!
Have to say Ariana you gave good thoughtful answers to the questions, and been away at college appears to have made you more mature. Obviously you miss your family, but I love how determined you are to succeed, even staying there afterwards to better your career. Blessings.
Noticed that as well. She’s so mature and well spoken now. I love the growth and the woman she’s becoming
Years ago I gave my parents a little plaque that said " The best thing you can give your children is roots and wings." That is what they gave me and what I gave to my children and I feel like that is what you are giving your children too. Hugs

Yes!!! Ha I’m from Louisiana & we always speak to strangers.
I’m happy for Ariana. Her last school was not a good fit. I’m glad she’s enjoying her new school.
I really hope she goes far. She deserves to do so well x
So happy for you, you sound like you’re having a great time in college and getting the real college experience. We love and miss you ❤

Ariana said something very true - don't think you have them forever. That is a lesson I learned at a young age
I am glad she gets to stay around for so long. And she sounds so grown-up now. I am really glad she is enjoying college.
Great job Ariana! You have really adjusted well to college life and living in a new city and state. Keep up the great work.

Ariana Your Growing into such a Mature Beautiful Woman 😍👠 . Congratulations on your Accomplishments..

Hey Ariana, Sleep paralysis happened to me a few times and it was always after I had a new baby and was super exhausted, so make sure to get your rest girl.
It all sounds real good, Ariana. I'm glad for you. 🙂
Glad you are enjoying your school . Southern Hospitality where everyone talks to everybody is a thing ingraned in us when we are little. You should do the zoo in Atlanta too because it is the last one with Pandas in the US
So proud of this kid. And love knowing she is in our neck of the woods over here in the Southeast! Go Ariana.
Sounds like she picked the right school for her.glad she is happy there.
19:39 the scariest part, is that you’re often still partially sleeping. I will often see literal monsters in my bedroom. I’m really seeing my bedroom, but I’m frozen, paralyzed, in a half sleep half awake state.
