Black🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️My Dad brags about your e36 project build actually inspired our build of my E36 back in South Africa thanks man just wondering can vvt turbo run on a E36 328i smoothly?
This vid has a TON of good info for Beemer Bois. I'm not one, but I was quite appreciative of the candid and fluent info. Super nice build. Kudos. Done right.
The tool jordan said are used to turn the spark plug socket is actually a wheel used to center your wheel since they don't have studs. The little bar will help you center them perfect when sticking it threw the lug hole.
More on direct injection, BTR (GM LS and LT stuff) said they lost 65hp on a going from direct injection to port and 35hp on 50/50 port and di. This was an NA application but it's still interesting to hear.
After watching this it's really REALLY making me want to get another E46 328i 5spd 4dr. I loved that car it drove so damn good. I've been debating either another one or a GS300. I've had a is300 n built a friends sc300 so I have experience with but damn the m52 w/s52 cams m50 intake turbo like 500whp would be such a good setup while everything is still on the cheaper side. A gs would be more expensive to setup altho a na-t...dammit see this is my dilemma which one another e46 or a gs300
6:42 Im a bimmer guy, I've thought this since the F82 was announced. The quarter panels on the F/G82 are so huge, it just makes the car look longer and narrower, in turn making it look not as good as the M3s, 100% agree.
re: Seat chat, I like e90 seats. I have them in two of my e30s - they're easy to adapt and control, comfy as hell, don't look out of place, and are CHEAP. I have a set I got for $35. $35!!!!
i'm 5'10 and with the stock steering wheel position in an e36, just for me to be able to push the clutch in fully, i cant reach the wheel. if i move the seat up enough for me to reach the wheel optimally, my knees are right up against the steering column and stocks. definitely need a spacer or something because that is not optimal at all lol.
@@ianm432 It might depend on the oven cleaner you use, the stuff here in New Zealand must strong because it oxidised my clear coat on my rear bumper trim I was cleaning moss off my new car
The pre lci e46 sedan looks like an updated e36 and still looks very aggressive if properly built ( not the ones with m3 bumpers). The lci ones looks okay and i'd choose an e36 over it.
I always wanted an e36, used to be able to get them for $1000 all day in NZ. I tried to buy one but for some reason I ended up with my W202 C280 Sportline M104 2.8 dohc straight 6
Yo yo that little metal thing in the tool box in the boot actually fit in the wheel hubs to line up the holes on the wheels 😂 recently found that out. It can also be used to turn the spark plug socket.
I bought a 93 325is 5spd with 150k about 5 years ago for $750 and drove it home because the previous owners dad laid under it with those jacks and it fell on him and killed him. I had one twist on the car I had before it when I was changing a tire in Mcd's parking lot but I had stuck a wheel under it so it didn't go very far. NEVER get under them with those jacks. I feel the E36 4door looks better than the coupe but on the e46 the coupe looks better. The 4 door e46's look dookie Im stripping one now for parts for my 2 coupes. The e36 interiors are just trash but they do drive better than the e46 i think. I love my e46 m3 seats also the e36 seats just broke me on long drives I always modified e46 seats and put them in e36's.
I have a 92 325i m50 non vanos is it worth swapping to a m52 328i before i turbo the m50? Ive always heard the cast iron block of the non vanos m50 is better but listening to you all i wanna do a 328 m52 with s52 cams ? Any info would be great! Thanks!
Wait what foot plastic E36 thing? I haven't had this happen in my Turbo E36? I'm so lost lol. Now just get Jordan to send me back my old OBD2 harness from like 4 years ago.
Steed speed makes a twin scroll bottom mount log. Seems legit has a video install on a m52 in a e46. 7200 is "suposed" to be the worst harmonics on the s52 fwiw.
All I want to say is I love e36s I had one and someone hit me at a red light that’s how I lost mine. Now I have been trying to buy another one since 2020 it is 2023 why are people asking 7-8k for an e36 that leaks everywhere, is missing it door cards, has a welded diff, chassis mounted shifter, is stripped of its interior, doesn’t run cause of something someone is to lazy to fix, or plain is pretty much a shell. I got 10k for a e36 that has everything still on it and hasn’t been turned into a drift car. I’m not complaining I’m just saying that through my adventures of looking for another e36 I don’t understand why I have to pay all my money for a project I can fix an e36. My original one was 1500 and I rebuilt the car nut and bolt, subframe, engine suspension. I fixed and replaced everything. But why are people asking so much for projects.
It's needed more on M54b30s - the iron block of the S52 makes it less prone to harmonic failures unless you exceed ~7300rpm. An S52 will rev to $7k all day every day until you blow the HG between cyl 5 & 6 XD
The ATI damper was originally developed specifically for the alloy block M54b30s for Spec e46 as far as I know. M54s got a rep for harmonic failures for regularly exceeding 6500rpm, where as the iron block motors never had that issue until the low 7s @@placeholdername3206
Honestly seeing the rear end of the new models with the huge grill. The new grill looks pretty nice and I think it will age well but the tail end is just like, what is going on there? Too much going on in my opinion. The E30-92 are all really classy, well-designed cars.
@@SaintBrickalous those are beautiful too honestly. I do prefer the 3.0 NA inline 6 over the turbocharged 4 cylinder even if the latter produces more power.

No. Mustangs are the best cars because we live in America and mustangs are fuckin AMERICAN BAAABY!!! My 78mm single 2v 98 gt on 11 psi makes 600 wheel on pump e85. It has stock cams with a simple knockdown job on the heads and trick flow springs and retainers. I do have weisco forged pistons and some really good steel rods because rotational mass isn't as big of a deal with boosted sohc v8s as long as the harmonics aren't wonky. I do run a balancer though. Just a stock crank that was blueprinted. I have almost 18,000 miles on the build and other than a power steering pump and alternator ive had ZERO issues. I took it easy at first but im really, REALLY hard on the car now and it just takes it. I did do a lightweight flywheel, monster twin, tko 6060, summit 31 spline axles WITH FUCKING C CLIPS!!! I do not trust that whole eliminator nonsense with a drift car in particular. I have a watts link on the back with adjustable control arms and fortune auto coilovers all the way around. I like the way the car feels on track way more without a front sway bar and 800lb springs. On the street i put the bar back on with 500lb springs. Not as much angle but way more cross pressure on that outside rear wheel at full lock. It just creates a better all around car because itll slip AND stick right? I do have bbk subframe connectors and anti squat bracketry which makes a HUGE difference as long as you know how to set things up. All in ive spent $6790 INCLUDING the car. I do all the work myself and my grandpa is a master engine machinist so that helps. In 3rd i dont even have to clutch in. I just give it a blip and a flick, boom, were drifting. I do clutch in when im in 4th tho which in 4th gear isnt a problem at all. I wouldn't recommend a lightweight flywheel if ur a clutch activated driver. Buy yourself a genuine fmc flywheel and have it balanced and surfaced by a good shop and DEFINITELY get rid of the stock t45 for a t5 transmission. The t45s are complete garbage. The shift forks let go so easily for 3rd and 4th its honestly kinda dumb. Keep fresh plug wires on her and delete 4 of the 6 catalytic converters and i promise you, these cars will crawl inside your soul and youll absolutely fall head over heels in love.
