Toast is a real genius, he can calculate the result and reverse engineer the process to guarantee his win in every single game. Too bad, you can't make strategy when the game is a battle of luck.
well, the first marble game is kinna base on a famous riddle(scam) which who go first 100% winrate. So 2 player, taking turn in counting, max is 3 count. example: 1st: 1,2; 2nd: 3; 3rd: 4,5,6 , ... and go on. who count the number 30 lost. So the strat to dont count the number 30 is you have to count the number 29. Beucause if you count the 29, the other have to count the 30. How tho? So to have the number 29, you have to have the number 25. if you have the number 25, the number they can have is 26 27 28. which ever they choose to count, you still can count to 29. There we'll see that there's a 100% guarantee win chance. to have 29 you need 25 then 21, then 17, 13, 9, 5, 1. If you go first and take the 1, you win. so poki, who underestimate their opponent, let them go first.
In case anyone is looking for an explanation of the first marble game toast won, the trick is to always make the other team pick with a multiple of 3 marbles left (3 - 6 - 9 etc..). This can be seen as picking with 3 marbles left is clearly losing (you pick 1 or 2 and then the other team picks the rest). Then if you are picking with 6 marbles left, the other team can always force you to pick with 3 marbles left and the pattern continues where if you pick with 9, the team can always force you to pick with 6. Since poki started on a multiple of three and toast knew the strategy, poki lost.
Ok, you are saying if the starter starts at a multiple of three will lose. let's say poki starts at 3 marbles, she picks up 2 and there is one left, now it is toast's turn to pick it up and that means poki wins. I don't understand how poki lost to toast

@@raw_oyster hmm my b. After double checking.....I thought Hasan was Trainwreck. And you know that guy(TrainWreck) loves to stir things up every time there are complications.
Is there something about her strategy that was feminine? It’s better to avoid gendered language when the behavior you are discussing is not gendered. If Toast used Poki’s ruthless strategy, would you say ‘ruthless businessman vibe’? If you would, it actually be preferred to say business person or just drop the descriptor.
@@luckygnome2746 I see nothing wrong with reaffirming someone's gender? OP used 'businesswoman' rather than 'businessperson' because Poki identifies as a woman; it is that simple. In fact it seems like you're implying that calling someone a woman is the same as calling her feminine. A woman doesn't need to be feminine to be a woman. If someone has a career in acting you would call them an 'actor' or 'actress' based on the gender they identify by. There is absolutely NO difference in the connotation of these terms, which is exactly why it's important that we use them as neutrally as they should indicate.
Fun fact: When you have 30 marbles in the pool, it doesn't matter if you're picking 1 or 2 marbles at a time; the team that picks first from the pool loses.
It depends on number of remainder when the number of marbles are divided by 3. If remainder is 0, the one going first loses. If remainder is 1, the person going first has to pick 1 marble. And if the remained is 2 the person going first has to pick 2 marbles.
Because I'd think that the team who gets 3 marbles on their turn wins. Pick 2 and force the other the last marble. If you get 4, picking 1 or 2 both make you lose. So it's about which team get 5 on their turn. But I feel like with how either team can choose 1 or 2, it shouldn't matter who goes first or how many marbles there are at the start (as long as it is a lot more than 5).
Here's the explanation: on one round, group 1 will either choose 1 or 2 marbles. group 2 will choose the compliment such that 3 marbles in total have been taken out for the round. Repeat this for all 30 marbles & since 3 goes into 30 evenly, group 2 guarantees they win.
18:25 The other team only won because they arbitrarily went "oh it was out of 3" despite no one agreeing to that. Toast and Co. shouldn't have agreed to it.
@@nogamingz2785 The basic idea is that if you can force your opponent to always make a move from a position where the remaining marbles is a multiple of 3, then you win. This is because if there are N marbles remaining and N is divisible by 3, your opponent has 2 options: 1. take 1 marble --> you take 2 marbles 2. take 2 marbles --> you take 1 marble thus, regardless of your opponent's move, the pile goes down to N - 3 marbles, and since we started with N being divisible by 3, N - 3 is also divisible by 3. Eventually, you can get it down to your opponent's turn for 3 marbles remaining, where it is easy to see that you can win. This is why 30 marbles = player 2 wins, 20 marbles = player 1 wins assuming both players play optimally. More generally, player 2 wins if and only if the starting pile size is divisible by 3. As a side note, this is a simple exercise in game theory, and if you are interested in learning more, I suggest reading about nim and sprague-grundy.
I've been binging the last 1.5 years of videos, and this video just feels like a natural progression of brodin having the power to do whatever he wants. Make up a game amongst yourselves on which everyone agrees and the team which gives him the 60 marbles at the end wins. Poki broke both of those rules and still got into the finals.
@@miyama8936 Im confused, Brodin did say before starting that round, that because of what happened in toast round another rule would be that the team with the most marbles at the end will win regardless - at 20:00 - she just listened carefully and took it to her advantage, letting the time run out with technically more marbles than opposite side. ik she didn't actually play a game, but in real squid game Sang-Woo cheats Ali out of his marbles without having to play a game. At the end of the day, everythings good for the content lol.
@@kevinnguyen5041 Not really in the first game with poki v toast team to win you had to hand over all 60 marbles (30 of yours and 30 from the other team) in the game of poki v scarra you won by either having all 60 marbles of at the end of the time limit having the most marbles so as soon as scarra agreed to handing the marble over and then gave it to poki pokis team had no reason to play again. The problem comes from them making it for a video and not life or death like the show becuase if you knew you needed all the others or you die you would risk it but with this all you had to do was say no cause the only downside was losing 25k (alot of money but nothing too crazy for most of these i assume) and getting egged which after a wash isnt that bad either.

@@raw_oyster hmm my b. After double checking.....I thought Hasan was Trainwreck.
And you know that guy(TrainWreck) loves to stir things up every time there are complications.
Poki fleecing scarra's team had such a 'ruthless business' woman vibe.
Yeah I was kinda rooting for Hasan at the end but he was too nice lol
That makes no sense in my head. I'm going to have to try it.
Yes, it's like the game of nim
18:25
The other team only won because they arbitrarily went "oh it was out of 3" despite no one agreeing to that. Toast and Co. shouldn't have agreed to it.
It should have been best of 3, which means first to 2 wins. They did that with previous games. Hasan was just a sore loser.
that shit toast pulled in the marble game was actually crazy
I think its common sense...if you know the game wel...poki knew ,but toast knew also
@@mrd.s.m4138 Yeah it was common sense on the counting since there are 30 marbles. But the tricking Aria to make her reaction genuine though.
@@dnldblmnt true...was funny
Can someone explain it to me?
@@nogamingz2785 The basic idea is that if you can force your opponent to always make a move from a position where the remaining marbles is a multiple of 3, then you win. This is because if there are N marbles remaining and N is divisible by 3, your opponent has 2 options:
1. take 1 marble --> you take 2 marbles
2. take 2 marbles --> you take 1 marble
thus, regardless of your opponent's move, the pile goes down to N - 3 marbles, and since we started with N being divisible by 3, N - 3 is also divisible by 3.

@@kipaladin9725 i mean they would've just negotiated or stalled until time ran out. makes sense to just end it there. plus the rules during that round didn't state that they had to play games.
NGL, Scarra's realization he just got played into that cut was absolutely perfect.
He did not really got played. Poki just invented a new rule and Brodin did say anything against it. There were only two rules.
@@miyama8936 Brodin straight up said the rules changed after the last round had to end in RPS, he said "If the timer ends it is the team with the most marbles that wins."
