  • One of the most common questions I see centers around ipx ratings and things being waterproof. I recommend you use silicone to secure any moisture entry points for your scooter. Do not think this will make your scooter submerge-able as it’s only a small stop gap to help you maintain the integrity of your components

That was step 1 for me, but in future you might need to buy a little more accessories for you scooter. For example CNC nut covers for the motor axels, rubber ones for the others exposed nuts to prevent rust. 2, silicone oil spray for the pivot point, so there won't be any creaking sounds. I is also good for the underside of the deck so mud and dirt does not stick. 3, wire covers to further protect break lines and any other wires for that matter. 4, CYCL wing lights and any auxiliary top lights for safer night riding. If you need tips I have a few.

Much appreciated, I don’t ride in the rain like at all unless there is a sweeping storm that comes down unannounced. Lots of people ask what material to use so I’m pitching in, I love these recommendations. If you don’t make videos but use reddit, the electric scooter community there could use this, it’s like the fourth most common question asked. Also, I have lots of stuff to put on the scooter, it’s just broken right now going on the third weeks of warranty and I’m staring at potentially another month, at this rate I may be making snow scooter videos.

@@justelnyc If you want to ride in the snow, you may need of road tires with those metal 4mm spikes for grip. It works better if the tires are self sealing tires.

I was making a joke about how long it’s taking my scooter warranty to resolve my issues, I live in the city, bad af with all the salt in the winter. I avoid it as much as I can.

@@justelnyc salt can be avoided but as a neighbor to your city potholes, glass and screws on the street are my concern. You ever heard of tattoo bandages? It's clear tape that makes a lovely waterproof coating on the bottom of a scooter deck.

Neutral silicone would be better if u want to remove it in the future.

True I use black silicone adhesive for cosmetic reasons and it work very well. It's by JB weld by the way.
