Hi there! The IP rating system consists of two digits - the first digit indicates the level of dust and ingress protection, while the second digit indicates the level of water protection. For example, if the scooter is rated IP66, the two digits (66) indicate high levels of protection against both dust and water. On the other hand, a rating of IPX4 means the scooter is moderately protected against splashes (4) but protection against dust and ingress is not specified (X). I hope that's clear!
got caught out buying a $2300 escooter without a noted IP rating anywhere on the store i bought it from :) said scooter also fell apart within a few weeks of use even aside from getting water damaged from damp morning grass
Ouch, sorry to hear about your e-scooter. Water resistance isn't a priority for a lot of people when buying an e-bike or e-scooter, but we see so many e-scooters come back with water damage. Hopefully you were able to get something better and start riding again.
@@electrickicks i initially went back to my ninebot g30lp, but then failed miserably at changing the tyre lmao (the rear motor rim is very badly damaged) Right now I'm using a ninebot g65 because i know segway is reliable and has an ipx5 rating on the max series
hi, what is the diference between IP and IPX?
