    Just to kill a misconception created by this documentary, Spinosaurus and Ouranosaurus did not co-exist. Ouranosaurus became extinct before Spinosaurus evolved.

      @@Fleecon9 Less energy still and less risk. If it tries to completely wrestle it and kill it, the carchara is at a higher risk of injury, even if it could bite the neck. But, if the ouranosaur was mortally wounded, then its less likely to put up a struggle or be unable to put up a greater struggle if it were healthy.
      Also don't forget, Carchara couldn't break bone as easily as a rex, suffocating it would take a long time. Even lions have a hard to suffocating prey while restraining it, which is why you often see a pride biting the neck and snout to suffocate their prey, to the point where if it takes to long then the prey ends up getting eaten alive.
      Death for prey animals isn't as simple as media makes it out to be, suffocation or neck breaking takes alot of energy, so more often than not prey is eaten alive or wounded to be killed later.

    Oooo yay. Planet Dinosaur was pretty good. It has hatzeg island, I love hatzeg island (Pods travels is definitely my favourite Dinosaur Planet). Not so interesting when it comes to how it shows the lives of dinosaurs (it's pretty much predators just killing and fighting, a bit blah), but the designs look great for the most part (some reusing of models and a bit too much shrink rapping) but over all the cgi and all that makes them look great. But the shear violence is a bit off putting (if... usually accurate) the shaky cam... is an interesting one. And the intercuts with palaeontology details were good, but felt oddly placed, like not as well done as in Dinosaur Planet but not bad either.

    • @bkjeong4302
      @bkjeong4302 Год назад

      @@TasimanaOG
      You’re forgetting one massive issue: buffalo are larger than the predators they face, and most hadrosaurs were larger than/around the same size as the tyrannosaurs they faced, but Ouranosaurus (which was not a hadrosaur, BTW) was MUCH SMALLER than Carcharodontosaurus. When people talk about cases of hadrosaurs being able to fight back they’re talking about cases where the hadrosaurs have a significant size advantage, things become very one-sided without that size advantage.
      This isn’t like a buffalo fighting back against a lion that’s much smaller than it is, this is more like a gazelle getting caught by a lion much larger than itself but somehow not being quickly dispatched.
