I love lego marvel but it is just lacking a lot, this is because it’s extremely expensive and the sets are sometimes kinda trash ngl
And the minifigures rarely get leg or arm printing
@@Brick_FilmI agree
@@Brick_Film me too
Lego should be a human right
I have a few:
1: Bionicle is by far is the worst Lego theme
2: Lego was better from 1989-1997 than today, that was their golden age.
3: Pirates is BY FAR the greatest theme ever created, there is no competition for that honour.
Based take: Spare Lego bricks are there for us to eat.
If not edible, why so colorful?
Genuinely spat out coffee from that
EXCELLENT WORK. SPITBRIX LEGO HOT 🔥 TAKES
its true. my uncle works at lego. /j
I chew them and then throw them out
I always theorized one of the reasons LEGO wouldn't take up Pokemon is because to get the look right takes too many unique or unusually shaped pieces that wouldn't be able to hold up to quality and structural stability requirements LEGO has. MEGA is a bit more willing, and they manage it using a sort of rubber molding instead of bricks for things like fur tuffs, wool and oddities like Lucario's dreadlocks.
I feel like if that was the case they would just make them Mini Animals like they did with Scooby doo.
Another option would be to make them bigger sets to capture the detail, but that would price out kids from being able to buy them
The MEGA Pokemon are really good, probably the best MEGA line tbh. They're also a lot better in design and structure than most LEGO animal sets, even the good ones.
Just a quick note. There is only one type of Katana (To my knowledge) that is made by Lego. The other Sword shown is a rapier from fencing
There's an older mold with a more round crossguard.
There is also a dragon katana
there’s different versions of the piece which technically count as different
i'm not a fan of monkie kid, but i prefer the original lego themes MANY TIMES more than the licensed sets.
I'm mostly into SW sets just because I'm a fan of the franchise, but I will say that there's a lot more creativity in the original themes on display.
I don't think that's really Lego's fault, the SW sets are designed to recreate existing designs. SW is limited by the quirks of Lego pieces, but original themes can use them to their advantage since they aren't trying to fit a specific mold.
IMO Star Wars are great for fans of the franchise, but if you're looking for a fun build, go for an original theme.
If the lego friends used real minfigures instead of dolls I would buy them over the lego city line. Friends is a lot more colourful and more diverse sets than a white police car again.
you can buy yellow minifigures to replace the dolls most of the city ones are cheap
Agreed. Friends has a lot of fun looking sets but I'm put off by the terrible doll figures I'll never use, outside of taking the hair pieces for regular Minifigures.
I have the opposite problem : My youngest little sister somehow prefers mini-dolls over minifigures so she buys friends, disney, etc... yet she's such a huge fan of the ninjago show and makes fantasy builds where she wants to make characters fight and such. Problem is, there's no threat or fighting outfits on minidolls, no angry faces, today I saw her try to assemble a "bad guy" from her mini dolls collection to have an antagonist during her play and she screamed "WHY DO THEY ALL LOOK SO FRIENDLY"... She's tired of building houses and picnics and modern things, wants medieval or fantasy elements like from ninjago, monkie kid, castle, harry potter, etc but minidolls have legit no way to achieve anything remotely aggressive. Seems like LEGO kinda excluded girls like her in a way by limiting minidolls from their "girl inclusion movement" to stereotypically girly things. Closest thing was elves and that was way before her time. It's one thing to replace mini dolls from friends sets with minifigs, but it's disheartening for her to ask me for LEGO Dreamzzz sets, get them, throw the minifigs away in a box never to use them, and have no minidoll possible alternatives.
Yeah but Lego Friends never had a Man fall into the river. Or a Rescue Helicopter.
I'd really like if just their online store had an option on all Friends and Cities sets to request the normal figures from one line be swapped with another. Getting standard yellow figures to live in the Friends sets is easy, being stuck with a bunch of Mini-Dolls I'm not going to play with isn't.
Stepping on a LEGO brick on barefoot is one thing, but the ones that are melting hot? The agony really turns up the heat with this one.
That would be a real nightmare
Intentional pun?
11:11 Swords with a round hand guard and rounded tip are actually rapiers or fusiliers, NOT katanas. They're still a part of the bigger sword family tho.
At least someone pointed it out
@@adamtaylor0325 Lol "point"
I think he was actually talking about the older style katana pieces that do use rounded tsuba. As to why he showed the rapier? Probably just a lack of pictures, being charitable.
They retire products too early
Lava hot take💀
I know!!
Agreed, although sometimes they have no choice. They have to retire sets to free up factory space for the newer sets. Keeping product fresh is a necessity to compete with other toy brands. Some of the licences for the licenced themes also simply run out, and have to be pulled out of production for legal reasons.
Like the speed champions sets, they retire after like 18 months or something, waaay too short, should be 2 and a half years.
I fear the direction Lego is going by removing their instructions and having to download an app in order to build your Lego set
My hot take, apparently: Lego is all about creativity and doing things how you want, so all of the 'which way is the right way' arguments seem fairly pointless to me.
I agree if you like it that’s good for you that’s my opinion I like Lego mincraft but that doesn’t mean everyone else has to
yeah, i also thought "the right way depends mostly on what you want to achieve"
True, True
Agreed.
I agree!
If LEGO released battle packs for other themes like Castle or Space I would totally get into army building for those
In my opinion Lego Architecture is a great series, it’s unfortunate that we get so few and that they make huge sets which cost a arm and a leg most of the time
Melting temp and distortion temp are not the same. I have absolutely heard of lego pieces distorting in hot regions. The most recent I've seen is with the current City passenger plane's wings.
LEGO recommends storing LEGO at below 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit) and out of direct sunlight.
When i was a kid i did not realize bionical was lego
interesting... I did not have the old ones but i did get the 2016 ? Ones i think so.. idk
The problem with comparing those two swords is that they aren’t both katanas. The second one was a fencing foil or épée.
He probably couldn't find any decent pictures of the old round-hand guard-style katanas... which is weird, because they weren't retired until 2012, and I found a picture of a Series 3 Collectible Minifigure with one that displays it very well.
Hot take: Monster Fighters was a cool theme that Lego should’ve kept and built more horror elements on it (like slasher tropes, steampunk horror, gothic horror, etc).
ongggg. monster fighters was my childhood
Monster Fighters is criminally underrated
Totally agree. It was my favorite theme growing up. I had every set (except the graveyard), but unfortunately I gave them away.
@@BigDrummerBoy16 My brother had the lab, I had the ghost train.
Nah, nah, not a hot take imo, this is a cool take I'm all down for
11:02 Katana, if you ever need it to be on your back (super impractical, don't do that) has to have its edge facing UP, so when drawn, it ends up in the right orientation in your hands. If the cutting edge is facing down, then you end up with a reverse grip, and will have seconds left to live in a hypothetical ambush situation. This is the reason why regular Samurai also had their swords facing UP from the 15th century, even when the scabbard is tucked under their belt. When you draw it, the blade already faces the right direction for your first cut. If you are good enough, it's the only cut you'll need, so better have your sword carried ready. For nerds: the unsheathing motion itself has the wooden scabbard pulled back off a stationary sword by a flick of the hips, rather than having to extend your arm forward by a sword-length (which would critically expose your hand as the perfect target). :)
Mattel changed the name of Mega Blocks to Mega constructs and, recently, to just Mega. My biggest hot take that I have is that LEGO should make a dedicated trains theme, maybe including some technic sets. Also, for those people who don't like technic in sets, I kind of like it because you can make your builds come to life.
They didn't change the name, simply split it into different age ranges. Mega Brands is the name of the company that makes the bricks, Mega is their collector oriented theme, Mega Construx is aimed at middle school kids, and Mega Bloks is their version of Duplo.
Lego Edna from the incredible’s poly bags has the most cursed head
Do you think it’s more cursed than the Nesquick chocolate milk bunny head that goes under the headpiece?
Yes
Look it up
About the hands, their shape is clearly an approximation of the human hand, with the rounded shape representing the pinky side, and the flat shape being elevated from the wrist, like our thumb is.
So there is NO DOUBT that the correct position is with the flat side on top. That doesn't mean that you can't ever turn them around if you want their angle to go the other way, but just know that you're using them upside-down to create a different effect.
Just like how you can use a hot dog piece to represent a tube or a frog to represent some leaves, you can use an upside-down hand to represent a hand.
I don’t know if this is a *Hot Take* but I would love it if LEGO would let you preorder all coming soon sets
They do preorder
@@nobo86 I said preorder *ALL* sets
Oh yes it's weird they don't do all
Lego would more rather scratch the side and rim of the barrel than the bottom for Star Wars set ideas.
I have a bit of a hot take. I think LEGO should design minifigures where removing the arms, hands and individual legs should be a feature, instead of an "illegal" technique that could ruin a minifigure if not done carefully. I mean some people purposefully remove minifigure limbs for a scene or just to replace the hands. Even in official LEGO animations like the LEGO Movie have parts where a minifigure's limbs are apart from their body. Just imagine the creative possibilities if we could swap out minifigure limbs, maybe with ones at different poses.
I have accidentally cracked way too many torsos and arms to make characters so there's no way I'm removing legs. A redesign like this would be so amazing.
I will accept no criticism of Original Lego IPs because I see enough Marvel and Star Wars and literally any other Licensed IP without all the Licensed Lego versions.
I'm not saying Licensed Lego is bad but sometimes it feels like it's all I see from Lego and I always find the colorful and wild Original IPs way more engaging and interesting
Yeah, LEGO's definitely relying a little too much on licensed themes.
Agreed. I wish we could get new medieval sets that are not from the lord of the rings or a space theme other than star wars
@@enn1924 I would LOVE a new proper medieval theme! Maybe reboot Knight's Kingdom with the new brick-built-style large figures like they're using for Marvel currently.
Lego friends are underrated. Many sets focus on the bigger picture and have a lack luster and long process until the end. Lego friends focus on smooth and simple designs with many details. It makes for a better build because you can see the progress towards the finish product
(hot?) take; I wish lego made more sets based off of real things, such as buildings, cars, realistic animals, nasa themes, etc. all of my display builds are technic cars and large nasa sets. they are just so fun to build
The brick in the thumbnail was red before now it’s yellow? It’s been a weird evening for me so need to know I ain’t living in an alternate universe suddenly
The brick in the thumbnail is still red
damn… that lamp in the corner looking kinda strange now
Personally, the katanas are correct in the second image. That way, when you draw it, the sharp end of the blade is facing toward your enemy rather than facing toward you.
It really depends on when that particular katana was forged. The style changed multiple times, so it's usually evident on which side of the scabbard is "pretty".
NINJAGO DOESN'T SUCK
who said that
ninjago is just overpriced sets
@@Hayyunuka I literally just don't care about your opinion and also go get a life
Ninjago doesn’t suck its the best
the old spinner sets were better than the ones now
The fact that Star Wars is a theme, and that we're getting Fortnight sets, I see no reason why we can't have a military theme.
I think Lego should stay away from real world military stuff. They should keep to any military stuff purely fantasy like star wars. If you want military sets, buy a set from Cobi, they've got official licenced sets of Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman aircraft.
I just want a WWII set with an austrian painter figure
I love medieval armies. It might just be because I'm old but I have a romanticized vision of knights on horseback riding into battle, swords clashing, and jousting.
And as for that Mega Construx argument. I get the appeal of having figs that actually look like the licensed characters. But the generic look of the minifig. They are so much more customizable. My Lego Renaissance started about 12 years ago. I had been out for a while but then I saw how many more options there were for minifig heads, torsos, and hair. I then went and made my whole family in minifig form. It was a lot of fun scouring eBay for heads and hair that matched my family. With my own minifig it was so much more fun when there is a little Lego *me* in the driver's seat of the car, piloting the jet, or dueling Darth Vader.
Hottake to some: lego friends is one of the best current themes!

🌹Colours have improved and you can SEE the improvements over the last 12 years, this also gose for the builds and techniques!.
It is also much better then city in every regard except figures 🌹
I really love the ninjago city sets.
the small shops, the neon signs and abundant advertising give me strong Ghost in the Shell/Blade Runner vibes.
I do not have the funds or place to put own them but I really enjoy the look of them.
Ninjago is something Lego is really proud of and it shows.
Its their own line with the succes and staying power of a franchice owned by Disney or Warner Brothers and that is impressive since lego has been struggeling in the past.
the katanas should be stored cutting edge up solely due to their length for the accessibility to pull them out- you do notice there is a curve in the blade which makes it hard to pull out when the sheath is held blade down and you must move your arm higher to slip it out along the curved sheath, but pressing down is easier than lifting up your arm to impossible angles so
A website as big as Lego's that doesn't let you customize what you see while browsing is pretty sad.
9:01 I agree with this one, technic sets are not fun to build
I honestly had more fun building the lego dots sets. You build it to the instructions then you get to make it have any pattern and colour you wanted. So much creativity.
I didn't pick up any of the proper Dots sets but I did grab several of the tile bags. So many useful parts for decorating normal System MOCs.
While I didn't enjoy the sets themselves, the DOTS line did give me so many great ideas. I loved the printed letter tiles, andended up making a personalized sign. 😊
@@kentslocumI still need to get the letter tiles. I promise I won't write anything rude with them.
@@smittzero8463 They can be purchased on Pick-a-Brick, I believe.
7:52 That monkey you showed here (and I think you’ve shown it in a few of your other vids as well) is one of my favorite Lego animals and I’ve had it sitting on top of my shelf for probably over 10 years (I don’t remember exactly when it came out)
Alright, Lego trains suck now, Undeniably old Lego train are superior. But personally, one of my favorite Lego train lines is the Lego Duplo Thomas and Friends range. While I might be biased since I am a Thomas collector, the characters in the range just have charm to them, if not at all accurate to the original TTTE props.
10:16 Depends on what they're doing, one side is the active use side and the other idle.
Mega has gotten SOO much better! I recently got one of their latest sets, as well as a Lego set soon after. Building them, the pieces felt nearly identical! The only reason mega is still seen as a "knockoff" is people who's only experience with mega is from 10-20 years ago and Lego's stranglehold on the market
Bad opinion
@@LegoverseofMete-td8pf okay then. If Lego is such higher quality, store your minifigs with the legs pushed in all the way.
You'll come back in a few years with all your super expensive minifigs worthless, because their torsos are cracked. Meanwhile all my halo figs will have aged like a fine wine, with the only breakages being in the hands. Because. I. Play. With. My. TOYS. And to be honest, I'm not always super careful. But glass is meant to break. If a toy breaks because it was played with, and LOVED, it's a good toy. If a toy breaks behind a glass box, never feeling the touch of a loving child (be it 6 or 60) because it's pieces do not fit inside each other without stressing the material? That toy sucks.
I love Lego, don't get me wrong. But some of their decisions have made me...less than happy. Their complete mistreatment of bionicle back in 2015 caused the line to fail. Bionicle didn't fail, Lego failed bionicle. If they had been responsible with the theme we likely would have had more than three waves of g2, and possibly would have had a complete g1, with the red star line and the dinosaur line, and all those other cancelled sets.
Another problem I have with the company is their irrational fear of competition. Competition drives up the quality and lowers the price. It benefits everyone. Unfortunately with Lego's stranglehold on the market and their (to be fair, very successful) smear campaign against all other brands, it's quite easy for the uneducated to assume anything not Lego is a cheap knockoff. I mean, mega is right there next to zulu or whatever the heck those true knockoffs are, why would you assume mega is a competitor when it gets less space than the ACTUAL KNOCKOFFS, almost as if it's intentional, to prevent the layman from learning megas true strength.
Besides. The brand you so love is itself a knockoff. Lego did not come first. They copied another brand and crushed it. Something I honestly hope mega eventually is able to do. Like Oreo and hydrox, transformers and gobots, I pray mega will someday soon break free of the shackles placed upon them by Lego.
@@LegoverseofMete-td8pf bro, you can't just say "bad opinion" like that, I mean I also like Lego more than mega but chill. This is a vid about hot takes, of course there will be comments you don't like. And opinions are OPINIONS you don't have to agree with them they are just different perspectives.
@@sethicusiii7878I 100% agree with you
I remember instructions in the 80s and early 90s showing the minifigures' hands being "upside down" as the neutral position (like when showing how the figures are assembled and how many of them there are in a given set).
I personally think that the perfect use of LEGO Technic is the upcoming Orrery (orbiting planet mechanism), since it is a mechanism.
If I had to use Duplo for anything, it would be for a large majority of the stone in a Lego Minecraft mountain
If the katana is blade up and you reach back to grab and unsheath it, it will be in the right orientation. If the katana blade is facing down and you unsheath it you will have to turn the blade 180° in your hand to get it positioned correctly. I know we’re talking about Lego mini figures but I think you’ll be able to see my logic. 🤷♂️
Historically katanas had been carried edge up in scabbards to not put any extra pressure and wear to the all important blade, so I understand purists that want to carry them edge up. I personally don't care. It's a futuristic fantasy setting and one can assume that they are made from much better steel than they were historically made from so it's no longer relevant.
Your logic is correct, however, I sheath my Lego katanas blade down because I think it looks better even though historically, they are not down.
They factually cannot grab the handle to unsheathe it in either position without the help of god's hands, so might as well keep them in the orientation that is the most aesthetically pleasing (blades down).
Your logic is off because a Samurai will have his hilt to his left and will grab it with his right hand putting it in the proper position in his hand.
I didn't scroll down, but I just posted the same thing ^^()
6:30 Yip. Good quality as well as colors and parts you're yearning for to have from LEGO. A larger variety though their lineup is smaller, but for a comparable price.
Technic has always been my favourite theme, of course it's very different to regular bricks, but the mechanical intricacies of it all is precisely the whole appeal of building them. Unsurprisingly, I eventually became an engineer, so that might explain why it's not their favourite theme for some people
I saw the thumbnail and was initially concerned about it, since ABS releases toxic fumes when melted. Having seen the video, it honestly makes sense.
... MotherFUCKER why didn't my old job warn me about that crap??? Having the MSDS available is one thing, but that really seems like something they should cover day 1 at a thermoforming plant!
3:14 "YOU SHOULD DISASSEMBLE YOURSELF, NOW!!"
the joke is that it's lego
0:15 “it’s treason then”
Hot take: Mega Construx and Lego taste the same, and people just need to accept that
In response to the desert one, the heat doesn't need to completely melt bricks for it to be unfun. Making them soft or sticky would be enough for them to be unusable
9:04 Technic bricks are definitely harder to understand how they work and utilize than normal Lego bricks would. But I don't hate them, it just takes more time to find out how I should be using them.
8:02 New molded animal headpieces for Lego or for newer Lego sets well…. it is a little odd but I’m pretty sure people can get used to it after a certain amount of time I know I did
Lego needs to make a dedicated theme for amusement parks/circus. Also, technic makes sense in things like ferris wheels, roller coasters, etc.
Cancelling Bionicle is the worst decision LEGO has ever made
I think "fake" brands are totally understable and acceptable, as long as it's something Lego doesn't have. Like military stuff from Cobi and Pokémons from Mega construx. Or those figures for action figure enjoyers, those are not at all comparable to lego minifigs.
10:37 I have seen some people have the lightsaber handle on backwards to show a shorter handle
Lego Ninjago is just Star Wars with a ninja skin slapped on 🤭
I just got a retired lego set for my birthday that utilized QR codes (Ducati Panigale V4 R - 42107). Since the set is retired, the QR codes don't work anymore. Now imagine having a set where the manual is only available online...
At 1:14, thank you for showing me quite possibly the first monke kid set that i'm going to buy.
I am so glad you addressed Ninjago although I wish you still mentioned why you don’t discuss the theme. I respect your opinion no matter what, but I’m just curious.
7:00 if you leave em in the sun for months on end, the color will fade, and the plastic will become weak and eventually "melt"
How are big molded animals duplo-looking? Have you ever seen the 90’s dragon from Dragon Masters or the early 2000’s Dinosaurs? They’re freaken awesome, classic and unique. I’m glad I have a few of them in my collection
Monkie kid is just Lego trying to have a ninjago 2.0.
hot take, I use some mega construx parts in my lego builds because they tend to be more detailed or have useful connections that lego lacks. mega construx parts arnt of the same plastic quality and dont allway fit tightly like lego does, but i like having the option for smaller mechanical details. there's a snot bracket in construx that hangs the studs onn the side without the bracket part behind it, so the brick is flush instead of awkwardly jutting forward alittle, like with lego's snot brackets.
6:40
That is the silliest thing I have ever heard. I live in literally one of the hottest places on the planet, and I have never had a Lego brick even get soft lol
LEGO set 6721 is a set I had as a kid and the fact that you could take it apart made all the difference in the amount of time I enjoyed it.
I think larger animals should be several bricks and not molded.
I like the molded peaces too.
Katana edges should point upwards since that's how they're held in real life, it's that way so the blade doesn't dull
Plot twist: all of these takes were made by SpitBrix and he just wanted to speak facts
5:05 Mega Bloks Pyrates was infinitely better than any Lego pirate theme past the original
Hot take: Hidden side was one of the best themes and they should bring it back
Here's mine, the endgame suits are great and all the sets with them feels so unique
The blade should be up for when you're storing a katana based on the kinematics of drawing it. If you think about it, if the blade is up and you pull the sword from it's sheath it'll be in your hand correctly, whereas if it's facing down you'd have to rotate it 180 degrees to be indexed correctly. That being said, the correct way is which ever way you prefer. As for the hands, the correct way of placing something in a minifigure's hand is which ever way works at the time.
2:22 forget both im destroying you with my classic space army and there megaphone
Okay, but what way around do you point your megaphone blaster?
One BIG difference between Lego and MegaBloks/MegaConstrux is the fact that Lego tries to staty away from military style sets, while MegaBloks/MegaConstrux does not, given they have the Halo and Call of Duty themed sets. Thus, focusing on only appealing to gamers. Then they took on the task of creating Star Trek themed sets, since Lego had Star Wars. No to mention they also had Game of Throne themed set, which clearly they made to widen there customer based to include more adults overall. But again, unlike Lego they do offer bricks on military green showing that they have no issue with encouraging military styled builds. When it comes to Lego, military set that have been independently made using Lego brick, had to rely on just using grey colored bricks for military themed builds.
I live in Arizona and they fuse together on my display shelf from the heat 😭😭😭
My display shelf is next to a window and the sun is constantly shining on it. One time I tried to take a set apart and the bricks were fused
My hot take: The original Lego astronaut helmet piece isn't very good and the modern motorbike helmet (with visor) should have been a permanent replacement for astronauts. The classic helmet does work nicely as part of a hoodie on a City figure though.
Monkie Kid is an original theme. Therefore, it's automatically better than Lego Star Wars. Lego Star Wars feels like it's been stale for years while Monkie Kid is still putting out interesting new sets (in the very few places you can actually find them...) Lego relies way too much on licenced themes these days.
My issue with Minifigure armies is there's not really a point to them past a certain size. You're just lining up figures for the sake of it. In a stop motion animation or photoshoot, you could just use different camera angles and zoom levels to give the impression of a larger army without needing to dedicate so much space and money to Minifigures.
I was never into Ninjago either. As the line went on, it very clearly became a generic action theme with a few ninjas thrown in the box to justify Lego not taking any risks by introducing a new theme. Also, from my experience, the majority of Ninjago fans are just younger Lego Star Wars fans: They don't care about the actual sets and just want to collect the Minifigures.
Mega Bloks is even worse than Lego in that I don't think I've seen an original Mega Bloks set since the 2000s. Also, their part quality still sucks. Mega Bloks' highly articulated figures are pretty nice but their larger size means any vehicles/buildings have to be scaled up as well.
Totally agree on Lego animals needing to be brick-built past a certain size. I'd actually draw the line at the dog. There should be a new sub-system of parts for building Lego animals, so the horse can have pinned hips and knee hinges. Large, highly-specialised animal pieces look out of place, while Bionicle was much more versatile for the most part.
You can use duplo for big supports that will be hidden by other brick
I like the way in which you represent commenters, it's a nice piece of simple design.
I have to say it, at 11:11 it’s a rapier, not a katana
As far as a standard scale for Technic sets go, most still hold to the scale of the old Technic Figures. As such, I for one, would love to see their return, possible in an updated form to more easily mesh with the studless format of modern Technic.
9:47 I FRICKIN LOVED HIDDEN SIDE!
I think Duplo Bricks and 3D printed bricks have use in custom sets to save on bricks which is amazing for stop motion.
This may be late, Lego Speed Champions honestly saved Lego Racers' Identity
Always wanted a castle army collection
If you unsheathe those swords blade down, the blade would be upwards in your grip and would need to be flipped.
My hot take is that baseplates and regular tiles should be the same thickness.
Say you’re trying to make an island with a beach. You get a green baseplate, but the sand colored baseplate is the same size, so that would mean making a giant island with a bunch of baseplates or just laying a bunch of green tiles on the sand baseplate. So you get some 16x16 sand tiles, and now they’re awkward and won’t fit right.
I really do enjoy the Lego technic sets
What is the set at 0:02 called? I can tell its a Monkey kid set but I cannot tell which one it is
Monkie King's Ultra mech
Having the minifigure hand the other way around is actually better for holding binoculars
Mine is that double printed Lego figure faces should have started and ended at Professor Quirrel, not become near-universal. Give a character a good, versatile facial expression that shows a general personality (as with Captain Redbeard or Johnny Thunder) and you never _need_ another facial expression printed, just imagination.
On that subject, hair fringes should never have been printed on figures if they weren't going to go all the way and print the sides and top of the head with hair color too. No figure should ever look incomplete without a hat or wig piece.
Any time a figure wound up with some hair/facial hair printed in a given color, one or two of the hair pieces should have been released to match it. There should always be a readily available choice between hat or hair, not hat being the only way.
As a LONG time MEGA fan (my dad used to get me the Dungeons & Dragons Mega Bloks sets back when just to show my age), I still pride myself in my many Halo figures, as well as the Castle Greyskull that made my fingers literally bleed after spending 15 hours to build over two days. I argue Mega and Lego can be interchanged based on your tastes, and/or if you want to be a heathen and make the bricks fit together, like me
Katanas are actually held differently in their holders with the blade facing up as to not break the holder
I made an amazing base for lego using duplo. Just cover the duplo with lego and its the perfect filler for a mountain, or large base
The hand orientation is obviously flat part up, if you hold your hand in the same position, your fingers follow a similar shape.
I had, I think, one Technic set in my entire collection as a kid, but I honestly think it was the most fun set to build.
Mega Constructs isn't that good thb, I got a Pikachu and 2 bricks were broken 😢
