Great presentation Scott! Looking forward to getting my ProMax 1000 MFD installed early next year. Then getting an AP upgrade (from Piper AutoControl 3B w/ STEC 60 PSS) to STEC 55X and doing Aspen Advanced Integration. I will then have a perfect IFR platform with full redundancy.
@PiperJoe, when I did my Pro Max upgrade, the shop ordered it and the shop took the serial number off the installed unit when they ordered the Max upgrade and Aspen gave the promo upgrade discount having that information. I then made my 50% deposit (requirement of the shop) and when it came in they installed it and shipped the old Aspen Pro 1000 unit back to Aspen as per the upgrade requirements. I was never without my system until it went into the shop for the actual upgrade. I hope that helps!
Thanks Robert, that info helps. I will go for that option …just didn’t want to be stuck on the ground waiting for the upgrade. I ordered a new autopilot December 2020 and didn’t receive it till June 2021.

Do I have to send my Aspen in and wait on the Aspen Max? Or can I purchase the Max then send my Aspen in for credit ?
