I visited lima about 8 years ago and i still think, its one of the best destinations to enjoy great food, such a great variety and quality of ingredients.
You guys need to take it easy on him! 1) those of you criticizing his camera work: could YOU do any better yourselves? 2) cholesterol is something your body creates as a response to inflammation, NOT something that comes from the food you eat! He exercises so much anyway.
For me I really love Peruvian food not because I come from Peru and it’s my culture it’s because their food is unique in a way along with foods all around the world - love from Peru 💜🇵🇪
Dude for some reason when I am watching your videos I feel like a child again playing Mario world and exploring amazing new lands and food.... Love it bud keep it up...
I am so happy that you went to el hornero. I visited the same place with my birth mother when I went to meet my family in Peru. Thank you for all these videos in Peru. Its great reliving the great food and memories while watching your videos.
Vegetarian s avert your eyes, my food hero is about to go in! The lass is beautiful and knowledgeable. Thank you for sharing this fantastic delicious video Mikey. You're the best!

Blood sausage = Probably the best thing ever. I'd love to taste the difference between Peruvian Blood Sausage and our own Black Pudding here in Scotland
Col of Cthulhu tried them both. Different spices in Peru make it a little more flavorful (as in stronger taste). But the black pudding from Scotland is also great in its own way!
Sate, honestly just try it :D I can see why some people might not want to try blood sausage (typically, we in the Western world don't consume blood anymore), but haggis is totally different :) The ingredients might not sound too good, but it's just best not to think about it if it bothers you, there's nothing in it that people all over Europe and America don't already eat :) It's a truly amazing dish, full of spices and flavour! Serve it up with a side of turnip and potato, and you've got yourself a traditional Scottish meal :)
I think it's really sweet when his friends are excited to show Mike their favorite dishes. There's something about bonding over food that's so special.
Two pros and cons about this yt channel Pro: •He knows how to eat •Finds good places Cons: •he talks too much where I find him a bit awkward •he’s picky which limits his choice of food. For example doesn’t like veggies AT ALL.
Mike, FYI, Lomo Saltado has its origins in Chinese Cuisine. This was created initially by first Chinese immigrants in Perú. It was prepared in a WOK and the name saltado is the way it is cooked in the wok, like Chow Men or Chow Fan. So in this case would be Chow Meat.
Peru just got some much needed height then! Should be an excellent pairing. And the Chinese will learn some tact and basic manners (not slamming them - it's just not part of their culture).
Dude check out Uchu Fusion some REAL fine Peruvian dining you wont be disappointed I’ll ask them to hook it up if you review food there my family members own the place. DEADASS man like I see you eating this and I’m like you are missing out on sooo much. I wish I could go back and show you the SPOTS my man to where you won’t ever want to go back home lol
heyitsanika why you hatin! Lol it’s absolutely awesome there and the food is incredible compared to most places in Peru They have home style dishes at their finest
Looks awesome. But that ain't parilla, u MUST go to Argentina for that. Sorry, I'm your fan, BUT, this episode looked way sponsored (Peru=awesome seafood or chicken based gastronomy- Best in south america for that!)
Love the video Mikey. Unfortunately, as a Peruvian, I'm afraid to tell you that the first place, El Hornero, did not look very authentic. It had some traits that looked the part, but some of the meats and those sauces looked nothing like a what you would get a traditional parillera. I hope this wasn't the last video of your peru trip. There are still some parts of peruvian cuisine that you haven't dwelled too much on yet that I feel are essential for a Peru food trip like: going to a cevicheria to try variants of ceviche, the national dish; some of the more famous deserts/treats like turron or pionono; a hot steamy bowl of caldo de gallina (hen soup); and trying out a traditonal plate of peruvian breakast (chicharron sandwich with all the fixins).
Great video, everything looks delicious! I usually go to La Tranquera for traditional Peruvian parrilla, they have flavorful, tender beef. Another traditional Peruvian BBQ dish is pollo a la brasa con papitas fritas (Peruvian style rotisserie chicken slowly grilled over flaming charcoal accompanied with potato fries), go to La Granja Azul for this dish.
I Love this video and i think u should try Puerto Rican and Ecuadorian food.I highly recommend it cause it's just very delicious and there is a lot of variety.
7:10 That isn't "yellow potato", it could be what we call "white potato" or some other variation of it. Yellow potato is usually very small, extremely starchy. I think the potato fries from the parrilla he had at Hornero were made from yellow potatoes.
I´m peruvian and we dont mix Lomo Saltado, i mean its valid but that is not the way we eat it ! Lomo Saltado is perfect the way it is served in the plate! Btw good video Mike, hi from Perú
Aw, yeah! Peruvian food is the bomb-diggity! Organ meats done right are to die for. I make anticucho at least every couple of months. It's hard finding offal in the US! The stomach and intestines, as well as the kidneys just cry out for a good chimichurri sauce (the green/garlic sauce on the kidney). Happy memories for me, Mikey. Well done!
All that meat looks so good ! 😊 Lomo saltado is fantastic and of course the girl knew what she was doing ! All Peruvians mixed it all, it's the way we eat Lomo saltado ! 💖
I must be super hungry because I normally don't even comment I just like your videos because I so love your videos but OMG I so wish I could get up and go get some food right now because you are the bomb Mike because I'm disabled and I don't get out much but wow I am ready to follow your food plan travel here

Naw man its natural because it is what it is , with media restrictions and theyre own editing , the creators freedom will most likely be stripped.
agreed. Often times the producers make you do things for the views not what is true to the channel.

I wonder if Mike is a coffee drinker, I've never had better coffee than Peruvian organic.
I think he said in some of his videos that he's not a big fan of coffee, he's a matcha guy haha
Peruvian food is absolutely delicious! Highly recommend it!

I can see mike having multiple wife across the world
Disclaimer: We do not mix everything in the lomo saltado
Eso no lo harás tú. Yo mezclo todo y la gente que conozco también. Qué peruano no mezcla todo?
You are right no mixing lomo and rice for me maybe bew generation is doing it now....

•he talks too much where I find him a bit awkward

You're about to have me looking for Peruvian food in Milwaukee, until I can renew my passport, and save to have the local versions and compare.
Been waiting for another Food Tour video! That meat looked amazing! Definitely going to the first place if I ever go to Peru!
I had the pleasure of going to El Hornero a few months before Mikey, well worth the price. Just don't try to eat the whole thing by yourself!
wow he loves peru. looks safe and nice there
Very charming hostess. Asian and Peruvian would make some beautiful children Mike!
I'm half Peruvian and my wife is Thai, we don't have any kids yet though.
oh
Peru has 1.4 million Chinese immigrants. We have a damn lot Chinese-Peruvians. Look out for the term Tusan (that’s how we call the mix :))
Peru just got some much needed height then! Should be an excellent pairing. And the Chinese will learn some tact and basic manners (not slamming them - it's just not part of their culture).
Well please do. They will be beautiful.

Mike I would have to guess that your wish on the sigh bridge is to find hot pot in Peru!
He made a joke at the end "hey wait where is my Pizza?" so presumably he wished for Pizza. That is the implication anyway.
It's a joy to watch you eat. ❤️
I love your videos its just so much fun to see different foods, culture and people with a very lively person like you 😁 KEEP IT UP!
Lomo looked bomb! The meat looked like filet mignon. I'm going down there.

Lomo saltado at Tanta. That is a dish created by chinese in Peru. It is sauteed in a wok and uses siyao, and sometimes kion.
