Stony passed the test of his camera work with flying colors! This video looks superb. Just full of beautiful shots superbly edited together. The location is gorgeous and it makes me want to get out in the wild. Great job guys, more like this please!
Dude, Sweet!!! So happy to see I made it on one of your videos... And that over hanging rock was a great shelter in a big thunderstorm... can't wait to see if what you captured in the continuation..
You're my new favourite RUclips Channel by far! Such amazing quality and content and It makes me excited every time I see that you've posted a new video!
Gents, I think you really hit on something with this style of video. It keeps the beauty and whimsy of your WalkAbouts, but the conversations you two share add a level of depth that is captivating. It lets us, your fans, look under the hood a bit to get to know you better while saying true to the voice of Black Owl. I think it rounds out your catalog very well. I'm looking forward to the next acts. Great job.
I love the 7D. I think mine will be coming with me on a canoe trip next weekend through some Crown Land. Sometimes I toy with the idea of putting out some trip videos, but then I remember how lazy I am.
I love Ricketts s Glen. Probably the best hike in PA if not for the crowds (go on a weekday). I usually park down at 118 and walk the whole trail. Glad to see you made the trip! Looking forward to the rest.
That was amazing. I was completely memorized! Stony had some awesome camerawork and I assume he edited it as well! I loved it. Keep up the great work guys!!
Very nice! Beautiful. I was raised up in northern Minnesota so I remember well the Autumn days. however, I do not miss what follows.....the biting cold winters. Here in Tucson this Sunday, it will be T-shirt hiking weather at 88 degrees. >;) Stay well brothers!! Nice walk through the woods!!!
+Black Owl Outdoors Northern Arizona has the Fall color and then snow...and down here in southern Arizona, I can drive up into the 10,000 foot Catalina Mountains, which are just north of Tucson, and have the Fall color, as well as in the winter, I can make that same drive and visit the southern most ski resort in the USA. And then I can return to the valley floor and bask in wonderful mild temps, even in the dead of winter. Works for me. >;)
Beautiful country yall live in. I had to laugh when yall talked about the guy from Florida. Because that's were I am from. I am still in shorts and fighting off the mosquitoes !! :) #FUNTIMES
Great shots guys! Makes me want to get up there soon. You should come down to the Glen Onoko area (Jim Thorpe). Great scenery to film, I could be your tour guide ;)
Can anyone tell me what camera/audio equipment they use? (I couldn't quite see the label in the reflection) These videos are just pristine in quality. Looking forward to seeing the rest of this!
right on! i grew up out in the Manada Hill area back when there was nothing out there but farms. spent my childhood hiking around all the trails out by the Gap. you should do a video out at Boxcar Rocks!
Nice video and I'm glad to see you in the Fjällräven gear Krik :) The Greenland No1 SE looks really nice. Have the std Greenland but think the no1 SE really looks amazing! Do you miss the side pockets? Thats one of the things which makes me hesitate about No 1 SE. Take care, Joachim
Incredible video. It's a testimony to why you guys do what you do. A slice of heaven that needs to be preserved for generations to come. Now I can understand why the Native Americans fought for it. If you could can you tell me which model of fjallraven jacket your wearing krik?
Looks like a great place... too bad there were a lot of Yahoo's running around like it was an amusement park. I love being out in the wild, and hate it when on the rare occasion I actually run into another human being, let alone a bunch of noisy Yahoo's! I was once hiking in a state park, and ran into a super noisy group of boy scouts. I could hear them from a mile away. Needless to say, I went out of my way to hike as fast and as far away from them as I could. Thanks for the video.
Anyone recognize the music from a TV show, or movie, or something? I can't figure out where I know it from. Seems like it's at the end of the credits for something.
Really liked this one, boys.
The conversation between you both was great, and obviously the camera work and editing were KILLER.
Really impressed.
+JoeRobinetBushcraft thanks Joe! means a lot coming from you!
+JoeRobinetBushcraft I second that thought! Thanks for taking us along guys!
Once again. I'm living vicariously through Krik & Stony.
Stony passed the test of his camera work with flying colors! This video looks superb. Just full of beautiful shots superbly edited together.
The location is gorgeous and it makes me want to get out in the wild. Great job guys, more like this please!
Could watch this hours and hours... wonderful!
Very good camera work. And some amazing scenery. All togather a great prologue... Thanks
My family and I camped here this past summer. It was definitely one of my favorite camping sites and hiking trails on the East Coast!
Great camera work throughout and looked a beautiful location ~Peace~
+Zed Outdoors thanks zed!
I enjoyed this video. Cool to kick it with casual krik and suave stony out in the woods. lookin forward to the other parts.
Dude, Sweet!!! So happy to see I made it on one of your videos... And that over hanging rock was a great shelter in a big thunderstorm... can't wait to see if what you captured in the continuation..
Excellent work. Very much looking forward to part II.
Incredible place! Excellent work! The closest thing to actually being there hiking the trail.
You're my new favourite RUclips Channel by far! Such amazing quality and content and It makes me excited every time I see that you've posted a new video!

Would LOVE to see more adventure vids like this!
I love the 7D. I think mine will be coming with me on a canoe trip next weekend through some Crown Land. Sometimes I toy with the idea of putting out some trip videos, but then I remember how lazy I am.
+Chris Koski aww cmon! just take it with you so we can see some of the incredible areas your frequent! thanks for watching chris!
I love Ricketts s Glen. Probably the best hike in PA if not for the crowds (go on a weekday). I usually park down at 118 and walk the whole trail. Glad to see you made the trip! Looking forward to the rest.
wow what a resource!!!! thanks for sharing.
Really beautiful area, liked the way you guys shot and edited this one. Felt like I was right there with you.
Different than your regular gear reviews. Yet still cool to see different locations in the country. Beautiful park.
That was amazing. I was completely memorized! Stony had some awesome camerawork and I assume he edited it as well! I loved it. Keep up the great work guys!!
+Brennan Jones thank you!
"Who!?" ... Niagara. Haha. Love these videos. I always like seeing one of these roll through. They're always worth it. Good work guys! :) - Chris

Thanks for the ride. Good job!
Beautiful trail.

+Ron Hart Oh man. Any hurricanes coming your way?
Great vid!
Great shots guys! Makes me want to get up there soon. You should come down to the Glen Onoko area (Jim Thorpe). Great scenery to film, I could be your tour guide ;)
cool place to hike!
Stony is correct about the yellow birch germinating on stumps that rot away under them. It's good to see you guys know your trees.
beautiful
Nice video... Your camera needs to focus much faster and smoother. I have noticed this in many videos.
Lets take a moment to appreciate the rare sighting of a Stony.
Can anyone tell me what camera/audio equipment they use? (I couldn't quite see the label in the reflection) These videos are just pristine in quality.
Looking forward to seeing the rest of this!
ah you're in my neck of the woods! not sure where you're based out of but if it's new to you, welcome to autumn in PA! it is glorious!
+Ben Wilkinson We're just outside of Harrisburg!
right on! i grew up out in the Manada Hill area back when there was nothing out there but farms. spent my childhood hiking around all the trails out by the Gap. you should do a video out at Boxcar Rocks!
Nice video and I'm glad to see you in the Fjällräven gear Krik :)
The Greenland No1 SE looks really nice. Have the std Greenland but think the no1 SE really looks amazing! Do you miss the side pockets? Thats one of the things which makes me hesitate about No 1 SE. Take care, Joachim
+SwedishOutdoor I would prefer the side pockets. You can choose not to use them, but they're there if you need them. You know?
That my thoughts too :)
Incredible video. It's a testimony to why you guys do what you do. A slice of heaven that needs to be preserved for generations to come. Now I can understand why the Native Americans fought for it. If you could can you tell me which model of fjallraven jacket your wearing krik?
+RViscara Thanks for kind words. The jacket is the Fjallraven Greenland No. 1 Special Edition.
+Black Owl Outdoors thanks
Awesome video! What camera gear are you using?
Looks like a great place... too bad there were a lot of Yahoo's running around like it was an amusement park.

Thanks for the video.
Was that when they where redoing the dam
yall wouldnt happen to be from the area would you? i go to ricketts glen all the time in the summer. its one of my favorite places to go hiking.
+SnippitySniper556 From PA, but not around Ricketts.
Dont know if it was already posted, but the other tribe name is seneca that you might of been thinking of...
What bag is Stony using?
pretty! :)
Anyone recognize the music from a TV show, or movie, or something? I can't figure out where I know it from. Seems like it's at the end of the credits for something.
Great camera work that shows the area very well, but the music is very repetitive and unnecessary.
What music did you guys use?
+Ryan Amos Obviously not them, but the guitar in the background is an Apple Loop called "Acoustic Noodling 03"
its so odd to see people go to the same place i grew up going to recording .
👍
Aww shit, Stony's in front of the camera
Was hoping Joe would jump out of the woods with some kettlebells
+T Jerrod joe?
+Black Owl Outdoors Joe Rogan. @ 1:45, he uses the same music for his podcast. Joe Rogan Experience, check it out. I like your channel.
Are you guys fans of the JRE?
+Klaus Flammuth joe rogan experience?
+Black Owl Outdoors Yes, the reason I ask is that little guitar riff in your video. It's almost identical to one that ends the JRE podcasts.
+Klaus Flammuth ive watched some episodes of it but am unfamiliar with the ending.
+Black Owl Outdoors No worries just curious. BTW great job, as always, I thoroughly enjoyed virtually taggin' along.
Music is annoying. Couldn’t watch all of the video.
What's it like to complain about the weather and then see a bunch of kids in street clothes braving it just fine?
👍
