Thanks for all the work you do in sharing with us the hours of classic footage. Entertainment plus. I'll never forget Glenn's drive at Bathurst in '87. Unforgettable racecam in the wet driving a car that had no right to be so competitive.

I remember watching him and Skaife battle it out in the Ford Laser series back in 1985 (?). I was 9 years old then, but I remember the racing clearly. Nicest bloke, Glenn.

I'd kinda like to see an alternate reality where Glenn didn't leave Nissan to start his own team. He'd probably have several Bathurst titles, sad as that is to realise.....
It also begs the question of what would have become of Mark Skaife given it was Fred Gibson who gave him his start when Glenn left. Would Skaife still have gone on to the incredible success he enjoyed without Gibson Motorsport? Who can say. It's interesting to think about.

I thought after his '87 Bathurst drive Nissan Motorsport offered him a trial overseas (I think in their Group C program). Does anyone know whether this was correct? Certainly should have stayed with Nissan.

Hugely under stated driver. In my mind a Bathurst winner a couple of times.

Richo surely would've copped a penalty for that nudge if the same thing played out today.

Seton, much as I love him, had been getting ragged and went in to late and too had. Richo had little choice. Racing incident.

So did he end up retiring from that race?

In the interview at the end of the race a blown turbo was mentioned by Jim. So, I think it was a DNF.

Should have stayed with Nissan after '87. Brilliant driver who would have benefited from the resources of Gibson Motorsport and Nissan.
