That you for this video!! The principle designer of Village Homes was Mike Corbett. We heard from a good source recently that he bid for a new project and he was turned down. This means videos like this are not getting enough coverage and promotion. I hope more people share this video with others. Anyone with a yard could also consider adding some of these ideas into your own landscape and any upcoming community projects. If we use just the rainwater swales ideas alone, we are already going to be ahead in helping to refill the dwindling aquifers in California and elsewhere.
Designed by Bill Mollison, the father of Permaculture ! Look at what his former student Geoff Lawton is doing today ! The entire world should be managed in accordance with Permaculture principles ! Most of all it IS a community !
Quite lovely....Does this group have an HOA? 2020 ideally should have ignited a fantastic growth paradigm here: removal of 80% of the grass and ornamentals and the extensive planting of FOOD trees, shrubbery, perennials and annuals. Add water catchment and storage, both potable and horticultural.

This was designed by Mike Corbett, not Mollison. Bill Mollison simply documented it back in the 80s.
