Iv'e always had a love of many Japanese things, whether its car culture or photography, or their unwavering attention to detail and passion for a craft. Coffee is no exception in Japanese culture and one of my favorite hot day treats is a Japanese style iced coffee aka flash brew. Do you like iced coffee brewed this way?
Another beautiful cinematic. The music, the lighting, the editing, the story, everything perfect. Do you know anything in regards to the osmotic flow brewing method? I would love to see one on that. Would also love to see a tutorial on it, being that it's one of those methods that seem like it shouldn't work, and yet some folks swear by it. Anyway, great job buddy. 💯
@@OmnielCapote thank you!! That’s one brew method I haven’t tried yet. I might be wrong but from what I understand it works better or is better suited for darker roasts? I’m usually always brew pretty light stuff, sometimes a lighter medium roast for espresso, but more often light.
Great cinematography. I live in Japan, got an origami dripper and I've been making coffee like this the whole summer! I put a lot less ice in the pot though. Nice touch that you combined it with photography, and introduced the photo camera as well. Which camera do you use for shooting videos?
Very nice! Iced coffee is my daily coffee 95% of the time. I noticed you got 12 grams there but may I ask what the weight of the brew was? I came up with a recipe of 27g in and 420g for the brew. But I’ll use one giant ice cube about 100g and then pour over with water the rest of the 320g. Then I’ll just pour it over more ice. I call it the “Forever 27 Brew” ;)
@@justinb2329 normally I do something similar to your brew for a larger batch but it was later in the day when I filmed this and I didn’t want a ton of coffee! I did a 1:13 ratio for this brew but I didn’t really weigh the ice in the carafe like I normally would. I just kind of went off recipe for this one! It was really tasty though, very light but nice acidity and fruit notes.
It depends on the coffee but I generally use the Timemore 078 or Turin DF83V with SSP MP burrs. Sometimes I use my EK43 like I did in this video but I generally prefer that for espresso. I also have a Gen 2 Ode but I’ve relegated that to my decaf filter grinder.
