QB, regarding premium fire extinguishers, I heard a long time ago that, because they also reduce the chance of fires, they were mathematically cheaper than standard fire extinguishers. There was math to back it up. They're the only premium consumable I use across all tanks.

I appreciate you taking the time to grind on free to play just so you get a better idea of what 90% of us experience. You coulda just kept playing pay to win and do the usual video, but you listened to the fan base and went through the grind most of us do just so you can have a better perspective of the game. Then you are not playing the tank correctly. The t100lt probably is one of the most rewarding tanks for people who have very good map knowledge/ knowledge of the game and players who outsmart other players. I got Gold easily this season with my t 100lt because it is more consistent the the ebr in my opinion (you can't crash like a donkey because you drove over a tiny slope) and you want to have consistency if you want to do well in ranked.
Dont play the tank like a Donkey. Light tanks require you to use that big brain of yours. Anticipate instead of reacting

@@namewasstolenstresslevel2111 A good tip for not needing gold rounds is to learn weakspots. To do so relatively fast. Go to tankgg and spent 10 minutes playing around, finding where you can and can't pen from different angles.
@@6th_Army what are u talking about ? I just asked you to learn the game. I made into the gold league using standard ammo in skoda and sheridan, was making 40k credits a game.
@@6th_Army That's a good tip, tho you forgot the best one - you need to play the game several hours per day and to learn more about it over youtube/twitch videos... and you need to do that for couple of years.
@@damyr That's just the slow way mate. That's called getting better with time. So it's not really helpful for those who cry out pay to win.
I'm talking tips that help people within the day. Know where you can pen, from any angle and where you you can't would already set you up for an average 54-56% win rate.

I'm an arty player, and yes, on this map I usually cover South flank, as well as that elevated South direction on Westfield. Maybe I'm not that dumb after all. I'm not all that smart either, as I can't clearly explain why I do that, except referring to my personal experience and the fact, that both those paths allow to flank and encircle opponents, if successful, or allow our opponents to do that to us, if we fail.
I mean, you kinda did explain it. It's a strategically important area, which is where a decent artillery player would want to focus attention to provide support to the team.
I had fun playing ranked with the Leopard 1. It's great penetration with its godlike accuracy makes it also great for free2play players. A different good thing about the Leopard 1 is that it also is quite flexible. You can be the Sniper if there aren't any Tds and if there aren't any light tanks it is quite effective in spotting.
Quicky This season started rough but I made some changes on my Patton. I put the turbo charger on my Patton which enabled me to get to were I needed to go just a bit quicker and was able to get to tier 6. Hopefully next season I can get to tier 8 or 10. Also thanks for your tips that's how I got the idea for the turbo charger. Stay safe and have a good one.

I’m not good enough for P2W. For me it’s Pay to Survive. After tier V I found FTP meant Fail Totally Prematurely.

Ranked still sucks. We need linear ranked based by EXP points earned. If you lose, it is what you earned - flat 500 exp points. If you win, no penalty.

A couple of years ago I played absolutely with no first aid kits, tools or fire extinguishers - to save credits. Also never bought them, as I got them for free, likely mostly as rewards from special events.
Im free to play player. I like the IS and IS 3 i have the same amuntion. 18 AP, 4 APCR and 6 HE. This load of amunition works everywhere. I like your videos
PlaysforFree doesnt necessaraly mean you cannot play with food at some points. Basically sometimes food pays itself (it costs 10K credits and will propably make you 10K more credits by not missing that shots, or making the extra spotting dmg etc).

Ranked is toxic and rather get stuck in traffic than play this mode.
Its less toxic than randoms lol, especially when all the Bad Players got sorted out
I agree, playing ranked even after getting out of the initial division it made me miss the 'good' teams in randoms. The chevron system makes people behave so badly.

It's WAY better now than it was, man. At least now you aren't meeting platoons of Clan reward tanks (Chieftan) and other elite premiums (279e) only a handful of players have gotten to absolutely carry any battle they're in. The grind is real, I agree, but at least is more or less on an even playing field for everyone in it now.
Just started WOT 5 days ago after watching 5 years of QB streams lol. Grinding my first line towards the 430u. Hope I chose right 🙈
You chose wisely my friend
QB, I am against the suggestion of not using free automatic fire extinguisher you get. For a few reasons:
1. It also lowers the fire chance.
2. Even the fastest reaction will still make you lose one or two more ticks of fire damage compared to guaranteed only one tick of damage for auto extinguishers (might be the deciding factor in some games)
3. Unlike other premium consumables, point no 1 make you rarely consume it (you WILL use repair and first aid almost every game), thus basically letting you to have unlimited stock of automatic fire extinguisher even if you just play casually and get free extinguishers from time to time.
I am recommending ppl to use it at least on high tier tanks (if you don't use foods) since they basically pay for themselves and get you that extra survivability that you might need to win games -- thus getting more money.
1. -10% against engine fire isn't that much. Most (if not all) engines have a fire chance of 10-20% so -10% to that makes it 9-18% to get fire when shot into the engine. Most fires are caused by shots to fuel tanks.
2. This "advantage" gets evened out by getting lit on fire as the last tank alive vs 10 enemy tanks. AFE wasted.
3.Basically you use it just as often as a normal FE.
@@violetstetpedder-4824 1. Depending on which tank that you play more often. If you don't think engine fire is important, then you simply don't play front mounted engine tank a lot.
2. Even in 1 vs 10 situation, that few hundreds difference of HP saved could become the difference between taking one more extra shot or even let you carry/attempt carry the game. In higher level of gameplay you want to get as many advantages as possible, even for F2P.
3. Using it almost as often as normal extinguisher means you rarely use it anyway, so why not use it for occasional advantage that it will provide whenever fire occurs? It's not like I'm telling you to buy them, it's just freebies. I even still able to sell excess auto fire extinguisher that I have despite of mounting them in all high tier that don't use food.
This argument isn't about it will be useful for every situation, this is about occasional advantage that you can take for free and might differentiate between a victory and defeat.

1. Well yes, front mounted engines get lit on fire more often, but how many are there? Most of them are arties and TD's which shouldn't get shot in the first place.
Some heavies like Maus and 705A have the engine at front but does the -1,2% (for Maus) and -1,5% (for 705A) really help _that_ much?
2. But is the one extra shot worth of the 10k credits you lose because of the AFE activating? I mean, F2P players would just pay if they wanted "all the advantages".
3. It doesn't matter if you get them for free or if you buy them. They are still worth 10k a piece. Whenever you use them you lose it, even if you got them for free.
Yes, of course the AFE is better than the normal one. But the problems of a F2P player (if they play higher tiers) is mostly credit income. Them using AFE is just a waste of money.
The only thing I will disagree with is that manual fire extinguisher is not worth it. Taking an automatic fire extinguisher will save you often allowing you to stay alive and earn more credits IF it is even activated in 1 out of 10 games etc. It also reduces your chance of even being set on fire by 10%. I think it is the only must have premium consumable for every tank.
As a mainly F2P player I really appreciate you making these videos!

I ranked mostly in M48 Patton and obj 430U.
But the easiest way to get through the ranked system, and after a few bad games I have to admit I did it too, is the SPG, high damage every game and the last to die, easy low hanging chevrons.
I think having 2 SPG in ranked battles is completely broken, and the 155 is a powerhouse in the hands of the right player.
This is just my opinion.
I hope they will remove the Chevron loss eventually so you can stress less.
Though I feel more players would simply give up and lose on purpose

I have been playing WOT casually in F2p mode since 2013. I have fired only 2 premium ammo in my career (in Is-3) just to see how it sounds differently than regular ones :P

I remember when I was FTP and dabbing the 2 key was an absolute rarity. I remember the JPE100 was my 2nd tier 10 and I loaded 4 HEAT shells, and in the first 800+ maybe 1000+ games i played in it I only fired one of them just to see what it was like
You can totally use premium consumables as free to play. You just need to buy them half the prize. I for example have over 1000 automatic fire extinguishers from missions etc. It rarely gets used so I havent bought them for a couple years... So mainly I am using the repkits and medkits or a rare food in the game. With that either making small profit or small minus. Basically brake even.
Most likely you need to be silver/gold player to have enough skill to maintain such thing or just play enough with your premium tanks. If you dont have a premium tank then I would recommend to use that 30-40€ for one. Just think of it as buying a game. (or play with the most profitable free tanks, QB made video about them)
If you cant do that either. Then you just need to cheap it out. Get better and do it with out the premium consumables. It doesnt even really matter what league you end up. The biggest prize are from the divisions and completing them gets you the tank reward. Even if you place last in the whole thing. I mean probably biggest expense are premium ammo and consumables. Dont use those and you should be pretty fine even if your not good at the game.

Same here except I did re download the game 3 weeks ago and gave it a spin. Wasn't impressed. I started playing this back in 2011/12 when it first released. Played it constantly up until about 2015 and lost interest because of all the ridiculous new OP tanks constantly being introduced. Destroyed the game for me. It was such a good game to begin with but they destroyed it by constantly introducing all these paper tanks.
Back when people could play reward tanks, I played my Conqueror GC just to shoot them all game. Now I just don't play ranked, it's never really been my thing.
Could you go over your decision process with us on a video. I think that would be very interesting to understand the pulse points and out points of the other vehicles.

I remember getting a heckuva lot of Premium Fire Extinguishers for free 2 years ago around Christmas iirc, to this day I haven't managed to burn through them all
The difference between the rate at which they get used and the rate at which I get new ones from missions is massive, I actually manage to sell a dozen or so here and there, so I'm not sure why one would not want use them
looking forward to ranked bootcamp next time around. Only have the Strv 103B at tier 10 right now but should have the kranvaghn or something else by the time it rolls around again
QB, an idea, you should try to play your tanks both in the pay to win and plays for free skills/consumables , but do it in a way that you don’t know which one you’re playing, it would be interesting to see if for you having those extra boosts to a tank makes any noticeable difference to you

I did my ranked run in 60tp mostly too. Added a heavy spall liner and laughed at artys and other HE spammers.
Its just a bit boring. That did cost me some battles when I tried to be a medium and horribly died

It's better to have bad T1-5 even 6 than having bad T7 or T8 where the grinding is much more longer.

What about tanks like AMX 13 105, Obj 430U, T57 Heavy, S. Conquer and Obj 268 4? Which one of those would be a good choice for F2P?
s conq is ok but you don't have enough time to deal your damage especially in rushed games where you're too slow (edit: some high pen guns go through mantlet somehow or neck), amx is great cause when not on scout maps you still have good firepower but you're still a scout after all, everyone rushes you so be carefull, don't have other tanks yet
Im also FTP, and i have E100 must agree with you on HE shells. Especialy when I meet FV4005.

My first tier 10 tank will be the T110E5. I'm already half way through grinding the M103, and my next highest tech tree tank is tier 7s. I made the decision to go down the heavy line hard years and years ago, without doing much research on what a good tier 10 to get would be, not that it matters much given how much the game has changed since then.
What are your thoughts on playing the T110E5 in general, ranked, and espescially free to play? I remember you said a little while ago, it got a mild buff, right?

QB, why no premium fire extinguisher? I have never purchased one (you get so many from random missions) and yet still use them on all my tanks. I keep 100 spare and sell the rest.
I sell mine for 10k and buy the regular ones on sale for 1,500 making 8,500 profit each fire.

I fire special rounds only with tanks like deathstar. Otherwise I never fire special except in advances.
I'm mostly f2p with the exception of decoration boxes since they are worth so much.
I love the 60tp HE rounds, really beast. Need to get M4 54, 705a, pzVii and e100 for even more useful HE rounds

Time = Money....so spending 50 hours in 10 days isn't really free unless you're eternally unemployed.
Time is actually one of the few things you will NEVER get back once spent. So in a way time is actually more precious than money.
Here is an idea. Ready? Cap artillery to one per game. I know that it means every single game will always have one artillery in it, but I don't care. WORTH IT.

well when you compare 60 Tp and 705A you will find a big Difference

The account was intended to demonstrate how the game can be played free2play and also to help QB stay in touch with the free2play viewers in his channel, just to be a better community contributor you know?

He’s not some kind of special free2play player. It’s not like he has special privileges that other free2play players don’t have that make him special and able to grind tanks. No, everything he does on his free2play account, for example, grind the Bourrasque or the CS-52 LIS or get gold in ranked, all of that is entirely possible for a free2play player, it just requires time.
Now, you say that his performance in the free2play account does not reflect or demonstrate the “real” situation, so there’s no point. To begin with, just because your “situation” (i.e. the so-called real one) does not allow you to spend as much time on the game as he does, doesn’t mean that it doesn’t reflect or demonstrate the state of some free2play player’s WoT experience. If you put time into the game, then you can achieve whatever he can achieve on his account, aside from the difference in terms of skill that shifts things around. For example; I doubt most players will be able to achieve gold in ranked free2play, at least not as easily as he did.
The free2play account was intended to showcase the limits to which you can push the WoT gaming experience free2play, not to simulate the gaming experience of the average free2play WoT player as you imply it should.
The difference between the WoT gaming experience free2play and “pay2win” is mainly the substantial difference in the time it takes to grind; with a premium account and some premium tanks you can grind through new lines a lot quicker and make credits a lot easier, along with being able to get through some special events a lot quicker and easier if you’re willing to spend money. Being so-called pay2win has no effect of in-game experience; both free2play and pay2win can fire gold rounds, use premium consumables, or any other things that impact your vehicle’s performance
What about the 705a. It has better armour with 100 less damage but better pen. It can also side scrap amazing. And it can derp he shells with 90mn of pen.
and it has a rear mounted turret which makes 60tp way more flexible thus better, but Im not satying 705a is bad just that 60tp is better
QB struggled on the 7/1 while I had and 80% win rate with 100 battles on it
f2p is a marketing tool only to attract players to premium account, and p2w is normal mode of this and all other games......

Ye, now imagine qb being a normal guy learning the game. Qb knows all about the game and he got 6 T10 with 4500 games and 8 premiums at T8. In my first 4000 games I maybe got to T9 with one tank. If you are not an idiot, but still learning, you will archieve about 50-51% winrate in the first 10000 games. Like this you will lose money even in normal games at T10. This is the main problem. But good job for taking the challenge, qb.
That's not problem with the game, it's just a problem with the players not wanting to learn the game.
IIRC I got my first T10 at ~3k battles with 52-53% WR. Now at ~25k games I have 26 T10 tanks so roughly 1 per 1000 battles.
And also, this account isn't about new player experience or learning about the game, it's about playing for free. QB is showcasing what can be achieved (and what it takes) as a F2P player.

I’ve actually enjoyed playing the Manticore in Ranked. Like with the T-100 LT it has a ridiculously low profile that finds folds in the terrain and soft cover that I never found in bigger lights in randoms. I find that chat is less toxic because players are more focused on the game (chevron tunnel vision maybe) and trolls and AFK are almost non existent. The teams are more balanced (only 2 arty) and all tanks are same tier. I’m a 3rd division ordinary Bob, but I am looking forward to the next season already.

Tournaments is a great way to make gold as soon as you have a good tier 8 and 10 tank. Even thou I spend $ on the game am cheap and spend as little as possible and do at least two tournys a week and it isnt that hard 1 on 1 to finish top 3 and win gold.

The reason why Kranvagn is a better ranked tank because it's speed and turret armour and depression. Even Slower super conqueror was in the meta ranked tanl
Yea I mostly fire regular rounds in ranked. Only fire Prem if you need it. In ranked it's true anyways. If you don't need prem you don't need to spam prem.
The automatic fire extinguisher actually reduces the chance of fire by 20% so you get set on fire less and need to buy it less.

Nope better to use your reactions and save 8,500 credits. Also you can save those awkward moments where using the fire extinguisher is pointless as you're going to die anyway.
for me its the IS-7, 277, 430u that I do best in when participating in ranked
277 is definitely better,
In these fast paced battles having a fast hard hitting good armoured tank can just dominate. If you know how to play a 277 well ur wr is going to be quite high in ranked.
I still prefer the IS7 even though I feel like the 277 is better if you can play well with it.
The 277 and IS-7 have bad HE , that is why he is talking mainly about 60tp because HE is cheaper so more suitable for free to play.

I enjoy ranked. For the simple reason of there not being any chieftains and such. The 5a was my workhorse kinda tank. Supported by the occasional game of the Kranvagn and the Patton. But I do feel like mediums might be superior to the heavies, so gotta get me an STB or 140 for next season. The Patton is just not quite up there anymore I feel...
