Fighting the deepfake threats

2023 is the breakout year for generative AI, making it much easier and cheaper to create new content. But it raised trust concerns due to deepfake attacks. For example, fraudsters use AI to generate fake videos from victims' images, creating synthetic identities for fraud. At the W3C AC Meeting 2024 in Hiroshima, Sophia Wu calls for more collaborative efforts to tackle deepfake threats.
