Absolutely weird and insane moments in WW1 that could literally only come from this war: *The Ottomans bombard Russia, only for Russia to push into their territory and for them to barely even cross Russian territory (oh, I forgot, they attacked Russia.... in the winter.... in the mountains.... half of the army froze the death, hmm, great strategy) *Austria-Hungary struggles against Serbia for an entire year, them Bulgaria joins, and Serbia falls almost immediately *UK makes a huge deal out of the Germans invading Belgium, a neutral country, then proceeds to intervene in Greece in order for it to join the Entente (ahem, a neutral country too) *Romania finds it a grat idea to invade the much bigger Austria-Hungary even though it is mainly surrounded by Central Powers, then really surprisingly gets obliterated from both sides *Italy keeps attacking Austria-Hungary on the same front for two years, barely gains anything, Austria-Hungary launches a single attack, and successfully pushes into Italy Like W H A T
Oh and the Italy point Their army was worse than Austro Hungarian army They had old ass guns (even Serbia had better tech), ancient battle tactics and overconfident generals Plus no efficient industry to support the war effort It's not that they didn't try to conquer Austria They did But they literally couldn't make any significant advance at all, plus the terrain was rough anyways (Alp mountains) So when they decided to take more action they lost really bad (Tho that was the first time they made Austria Hungary to actually focus on them a bit more) Their army almost collapsed afterwards and was basically kept alive by British and French help throughout the rest of the War

PS: Sorry for bad Russian, I just google translated this XD
While it's not discussed often, the Greek front single handily knocked Bulgaria out of the war, and was a significant contributing factor to the Ottomans and ESPECIALLY Austria to drop out. Greece not joining the Entente Powers may have extended the war quite a bit.

*Austria-Hungary struggles against Serbia for an entire year, them Bulgaria joins, and Serbia falls almost immediately
*UK makes a huge deal out of the Germans invading Belgium, a neutral country, then proceeds to intervene in Greece in order for it to join the Entente (ahem, a neutral country too)
*Romania finds it a grat idea to invade the much bigger Austria-Hungary even though it is mainly surrounded by Central Powers, then really surprisingly gets obliterated from both sides
*Italy keeps attacking Austria-Hungary on the same front for two years, barely gains anything, Austria-Hungary launches a single attack, and successfully pushes into Italy
Like W H A T
Oh and the Italy point
Their army was worse than Austro Hungarian army
They had old ass guns (even Serbia had better tech), ancient battle tactics and overconfident generals
Plus no efficient industry to support the war effort
It's not that they didn't try to conquer Austria
They did
But they literally couldn't make any significant advance at all, plus the terrain was rough anyways (Alp mountains)
So when they decided to take more action they lost really bad (Tho that was the first time they made Austria Hungary to actually focus on them a bit more)
Their army almost collapsed afterwards and was basically kept alive by British and French help throughout the rest of the War
Bruh you tube censored my first comment so only I can see it wtf why
@@lilestojkovicii6618it can still be seen
You can clearly see the battle of osowiec fortress, aka the attack of the dead man, that actually pushed the germans back at 6 august 1915.
Yes!
Well, you and Eastory uploaded in the same time, My 2 favorite history channels.
It's awesome!!! I'm interested in WW1 and I'm very impressed by this map. You illustrated really accurate changings of the frontline. You even added the operation on the river Stohod, that took it's place at the end of 1915. Guy, you great, you should know it!!!
You did an excellent work as always, hope you will do the western front soon but for now take a break you deserved it
I can only imagine the amount of effort that went into this and it is sad it doesn't have more views, I leave it playing on loop when working for this
I think I know a good bit about WW1, but there are so many details here that cover things I've never even heard of... (IMRO? Russia pushing the Ottomans that far? Whatever the hell happened in Albania? Sweden?). Very well done.
Sweden occupied the Åland islands during the Finnish Civil War, but backed down when Germany joined the conflict.

This is probably your best video yet. Insane amount of attention to detail.
Trés beau travail ! Trés détaillé !
One of the best videos in RUclips. Congratulations on your great work!
Hello!
Great video! Im currently working on an animation on the ww1 eastern front (something like eastory) this video is pretty accurate 👍
Did we need a video of such high quality? Yes. Did we deserve it, no. Props to you!
While it's not discussed often, the Greek front single handily knocked Bulgaria out of the war, and was a significant contributing factor to the Ottomans and ESPECIALLY Austria to drop out. Greece not joining the Entente Powers may have extended the war quite a bit.
Great work!! Much love to you! Really love the miniatures, music, detail and high resolution images
This is honestly the best mapping channel on RUclips right now as far as sheer quality is concerned! I hope you do a video on the Russian revolution next.
W Video, we need more videos like this king. You haven’t posted a video in 2 years.
He's passing exams. He posted a comment a few weeks ago saying a new vid is on its way.
Christ, I can only imagine how difficult it was to map out both the World War One aspects and the Russian Civil War aspects combined, let alone the collapse of the various empires (IE Austro-Hungaria)
Without a doubt one of the best map videos of the Eastern front ! Very pleasant looking
*the best
This video is very detailed and so as the previous videos, that’s why i always wait for CherepashkaShusha’s Videos everyday💖👍
Because they shown us the full-view with detailed information of the wars and conflicts most of us didn’t know or less-knowledge of them(including me). :)))
Nice work 👌

CherepashkaShusha, this was a great video! And your WWII Western Front video has become one of my favorite videos to watch on all of You Tube. You should have millions of subscribers and I hope you get them!

A tiny mistake:
Dimetoka (in Turko-Bulgarian border, today part of Greece, it seems like ")" on the map) was given to Bulgaria by Ottomans. Bulgaria joined the war after they were given Dimetoka. This isn't shown on the map.

Because serbia killed an citizen of Austria Hungary in there territory and they even let serbia have an chance but they refused and Austria Hungary declared war at serbia and Russia ft France joins and ofc German empire would protect Austria Hungary because they were allies before world war.
And then UK joins which was a great war
@@elosnuhiu4023 Serbia were alleged to have supported the terrorist who killed Ferdinand but no evidence has ever surfaced that they partook in his killing. Frank Ferdinand wanted reform in Austria-Hungary and so would have been an odd target for the Serbian government.
Then we have the ultimatum against Serbia which was designed to be so harsh that they would definitely refuse. Germany and Austria-Hungary had planned a war using Serbian aggression as a pretext, and were damned happy when they finally got the opportunity.
>Implying Russia actually cared
All they wanted was some strong allies in the Balkans, nothing more
