How come I couldn't have been in a choir this cool as a youth? We sung My country tis of thee and hot cross buns.

I've been singing this song as one of my standard covers for many years. It's special to me, but it doesn't seem to mean as much to other people. Watching this I honestly cried tears of joy. I absolutely adore choral arrangements, and to combine that with the happiness and fun that ya'll are clearly having is just beautiful. Thanks for this treat.

Love the uptempo song but a strange choice for a choir director to chose for a youth choir in that it makes light of salvation or lack thereof. Great vocal performance anyway

I think the song points out the irony of the fact that everyone will die as an unbeliever in someone's eyes, given that there are so many different things that you could believe in. I applaud the choice of songs - not just this one - for the youth choir. It's the time in life when people start to understand how their childhood shaped them (Eugene) and begin the search for their place in the world (Afternoon on the hill, Level up), make plans for the future (North), explore what meaning life holds (As the ship went down), maybe question - or gain a better understanding of - beliefs they grew up with (Unbelievers). They start to understand that in some ways they are very similar to the generations before them but also face new challenges (Hymn of the Acxiom). All of these songs acknowledge that young people, too, are capable of pondering the big questions in life without losing their sense of humor.

Very ironic song for a youth choir but good nonetheless

The irony is BY FAR my favorite part of this cover. This is amazing!

I don't think they know what this song means, but it's epic who cares.

Wow, these kids missed the entire point of the song. Either that or it's an intentional slap in the face of unbelievers.

I don't think you understand the song to begin with. One kind of believer is still an "unbeliever" to another kind of believer, and could face damnation in the eyes of that other group too. This could even apply intra-faith, concerning the differences between denominations of Christianity for example.
